Title: Tri-force in Majora's Mask?
Post by: Henrymop on December 13, 2006, 02:21:28 PM
Hello, IU'm helping out a game called Zelda2d, which is more for the goal of makign a game engine, but it also consist of makig a game. There's not much to show, but here's the sourceforge site.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/zelda2d/

I was basiclly looking at this site for all the very good theories on zelda stuff, and decided tha tI'd post this here. Sorry if this was already posted here sometime before.

It looks like the tri-force has somethign to do with Termina afterall.

At the beginning of the game when skullkid curses you below him is the shadow of some weird triangles that look like a weird version of the triforce.

Where was this pciture taken anyway?

Hmm... looks like you exploited the goron bomb-jump glitch...

A little interesting really.

There is no fourth triangle underneath it.

Here's those three triangles when the skullkid curses you.

It's a game-shark cheat, "Press L to levitate"

Yeah, but where exactly in the game did you find the triforce?

You don't find the triforce, but this picture was taken in Stone Tower.

Stone Tower... !!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait a minute, you don't think maybe that stone tower is the future Tower of the Gods from WW? I mean, it IS a possibility from a mirror dimension...

Give us the exact location within the stone tower what floor, what room, whether it's upside down, etc...

I also went on Gamefaqs once, and there was this discussion in MM about the strange whirlpool in the sky that never disappeared within stone tower.

The pictures I took are actually the bottom of those giant cubes that move around when you press those red switches, that you have to use the "Elgy of Emptiness" to make them stay switched.

You guys really need to look into this a little more, this is probably the only place where's it's shown (and most likely mentioned), so it's probably a mistake from Nintendo.

Still, I was a littleshocked you found this.

Quoteso it's probably a mistake from Nintendo.

I have no way of justifing myself, but I think that it was on purpose, in my opinion.

EDIT: Well, wait a moment. I'm not in the business, but I sure do 3D art, like texture painting and 3D modelling. The chances are that it took quite a while to make that texture, there seems that there would be no way that they wouldn't catch that, especcaly on a Zelda game.Depending on what it is, paintng a texture can take an hour to several hours.

The fact that it's on the bottom may mean two things:

1. It was a mistake. They put it on the bottom so no one would notice, because they just didn't have the time.

2.It wasn't a mistake, and they wanted it to be noticed only by a few people, to make it misterious and unnoticable. Except for the people who really looked, or by chance noticed it. Like the whirlpool in Stone Tower Temple.

The Triforce has been found in other places in MM.  Here's (http://www.generation17.com/izc/forums/viewtopic.php?t=487) an article submitted to the Ice's Zelda Central forums.  It concerns the Triforce in Termina and why Termina was doomed.

I have to admit that was a pretty well thought of theory and I can see no real holes in it, although some were mere conclusions they do go into the theory well.

Hi, I havn't bothered posting, but the reason it's on the bottom is because it has a person painted on it, and the person is sitting on the tri-force. He's probibly crapping on it.

Also see that the persons painted on the cube looks like the 4 giants.

okay, that joke sucked, but the fact he's sitting on it could hold major symbolic meaning....could it be a symbol of finding and controlling the triforce?

When I started MM and I saw that "image of the triforce" where the skullkid was I realized that the triforce has the upper triforce (triforce of power) down of the other two, separated from them. I already beated OoT so I tought: could this mean that as link sealed ganondorf and he still has the triforce of power, this image means that this piece oif triforce is separated from the others? also this is inmediatly after OoT.

We may be over examining things...

But still, I read the article, and it was really amazing. I never noticed these things on Majora's mask. Perhaps Miyamoto didnt intend for these occurances to happen, and he's reading our posts, and laughing. :P
