A mod is someone who monitors the boards and makes sure everybody is follwing the rules. Basically, if you don't have mods you will have a lot more work to do.

mods,gods, i only have a rule in a certain forum area(1)
and that is:no spamming or major bad words,you can only
say the s and i words.and last,dont be mean to any new
members
