I think Twilight Princess was much better than Windwaker, it was fun and all, but Twilight Princess has a better storyline/graphics/and every other thing imaginable. What one do you like better?
Mind to be more specific? What was better about the story, graphics (what do you mean btw? The art or the graphics?) and what is every other thing imaginable? because I think the exploring part of TWW is waaay better. TP had only a few interesting hidden stuff that made exploring fun. They said Hyrule would be filled with it, but I didn't see it. I hated hunting Poes. If they only appear at night, then give me a possibility to change day into night. Waiting was awful. TWW also was better when it comes to individuality. At least everyone in that game had his or her own looks. In TP, it's OOT all over again. 40+ Human/Hylian models and 1 or 2 for every other race(+ different models for the leaders. I wonder, do they become leaders because they look different?). TWW had more interesting sidequests and I didn't have to check a stupid Japanese site to figure out who's who (for as far as some characters have been given an identity). Why did they get rid of figurines? Oh, and don't get me started about the sages or the fake drama or the howling system (or its animation...ugh).
TP on the other hand introduced a very cool new baddie (which I hope will return. He's got too much potential to die in the game he's introduced in). It also featured awesome and original new items and ways to use them. The Snowpeak Ruins is a unique dungeon with a great atmosphere. The minigames were fun and...different. It's only a shame you experience their gameplay usually only once. Unlike TWW, this game is complete (I think)(TWW is missing two dungeons).
Wind Waker was an okay game and all, but I think Twilight Princess was better because I liked how Hyrule is bigger and there's alot more town to go into. And being that I haven't beaten the game yet, there's still a ton of places I haven't been yet. Like the Gerudo desert.
Maybe Famitsu did that because TWW showed guts by being different (art, sea theme etc.) while TP has a bit of OOT-taste.
What I can't stand are TLOZ fanboys that whine as soon as a TLOZ doesn't get a perfect rating (gamespot). 38/40 is a great rating, so stop complaining.
Gee, sorry. I get the message. If it bugs people so much, I'll just delete it.
Anyway, scratch what I said in my last post in this topic, people; it means nothing.
I actually enjoyed WWs story more than TPs. TP's just seemed to be going all over the place at once.
And, believe it or not, I felt TP was more childish than WW.
Edit: That's not to say TP wasn't a better game, just that I enjoyed WW's story more.
I would have to say TP wins because of controls of the Wii. I do love the style of WW as it was a nice change of pace, and WW was easily more humorous then TP. However, TP overall I think was the better game. I felt the story was better, the introduction of new items (i.e. spinner and hawkeye) and retooling of old items (i.e. double clawshots and magnetic iron boots), as well as the having more cinematic scenes then other Zelda games.
I say TP, becuase i liked the controls more thatn the ones they had in TWW. Also, even though graphics don't really matter, I liked the TP ones much more. And to me, the story was just generally better in TP.
I actualy don't favor one over the other, both are great but for different reasons. Twilight Princess had better graphics/story/controls but TWW has (in my opinion) better gameplay ( I think that's the right word...).
TP is way better than WW... not that WW is bad though. Like the other guy said, a lot to walk on. And the story is much deeper than in WW.. Acctually i don't know wich is the best anymore... TP or OoT..? Then there is MM, ALttP and just around the corner comes WW..
As commodore said I think TP was more childish. TWW looked childish but you forget that almost instantly. Link has very little emotion in TP and has more of a "hero comes in and saves everyone yay!" plot than TWW.
