Title: Anyone else here having bad headaches?
Post by: darkphantomime on December 28, 2006, 10:38:21 AM
As some of you may know in correspondences with me, I often have very bad headaches accompanied by dizziness. So I'd like to know if anyone here would mind sharing if they have frequent and bad headaches, just so I can get an idea of what I should do.

maybe, if you are always getting these, you are pregnant. Or dehydrated...

Now, unless I'm some weird freak of nature who has somehow retained fertility with traits of both genders, we can safely rule out pregnancy.

Dehydration on the other hand... Well... Once when I was in sixth grade, around valentines day, I had to go to the hospital for about two weeks cause I was getting really weak, they said it was dehydration...

So that's a possibility.

so in that case, avoid any liquids for a few days. I think that's what you do...

Avoid liquids to help dehydration?  Nah.  That's only going to make it worse.  All I can say is take some medicine and drink plenty of water.

The backs of my eyes hurt last year when I was taking the ISAT test, so my mom took me to the eye doctor, because it runs in my dad's side of the family to have bad eyes. Both my sisters have glasses, but I don't, it turned out I nothing was wrong with my eyesight, I was probably just focusing too hard.

Are you getting migraines?  You know, the really bad headaches with the sensitivity to light and sound.  I am prone to getting migraines.  I would suggest taking Excedrin (sp?) or some generic equivelent with the ingredients acetaminophen, aspirin, and caffeine.  That helps me.

Wonderful... it now seems I'm coming down with a case of Insomnia, It's 4:50 EST and I haven't slept a wink... too busy playing TP... but staying up late drains me, and it's like I begin to 'float'... it's weird.

All i can say is to take motrin for the pain, and to TRY and get some sleep. TRY. You may be experiencing side effects of sleep deprivation. Also, drink plenty of water if it's dehydration.

Didja know if you try to stay awake and somehow manage to sleep deprive yourself, you begin to feel weird? It's like your high, but it's also like you're dreaming. YOu feel a little dizzy, and when you try to get up and walk around, I have felt like I'm a ghost, heh, like I can't feel my own weight. It's a very weird sensation indeed.

Well no wonder you're getting hed akes! You're not getting enough sleep, you're playing video games like, all the time and you're on you're computer now.
I don't really think its dehydration, just you're constantly on a computer or a vidoe game, plus you're not getting sleep, you're driving you're body crazy! My head hurts now, because I've been on my computer ever since I got up, as well as that I've got a cold! lol :'(
So I don't really think it's dehydration, just lay off the computer for a while and the videogames.
*note: I know it's going to be hard not playing tp ^^*
Hope my advice works!

Now I think I've gotten delirious, wow, I'm progressing through quite  a few stages of loss of sanity...

For a few days now, I've had a ringing in my left ear. It's not like a ringing you hear, but rather feel. it's like a jolt of pain in your head, and it makes me lose my balance, weeeeeeeeeeeeee, I'M FLYING!!

Me go sleep now...

chatspeak irritates most of the people on this site very badly, zelda. Just thought I should warn you if you hadn't noticed by now.

hehehahhaahahaha, of course everyone knows.  ::) ::)

I even have a doctor and a counselor, jBut I fell apart when I couldn't see them for a while, now it seems I'm in the doldrums again. Oh sure, everyone knows, but that doesn't mean everyone cares... actually Im seen as 'predictible' becaue of these sort of things. As if I'm faking it!

Heheh, but it's something else when you have so little of a support network, and face so many disappointments, that any progress made with therapy or antidepressants I'm on my FOURTH medication. The previous ones were Prozac, then Lexapro (made me feel somewhat manic and somewhat weird), Then Effexor, which lasted the longest, though Lexapro lasted quite a bit, and now, I'm on welbutrin... If I don't show recovery with antidepressants, maybe I might consider a more ahh... conclusive therapy... Reason why I stopped Effexor even though I was slowly getting better was because I was getting more tired, more drained... I switched to welbutrin only a couple weeks ago, and, by looking at some of the topics I've put up in that time, it seems to have made me ahh, a little worse. If not completely out of it.

I've been taking antidepressants since about spring of 2005. And even before that, I showed a lot of signs of clinical depression, but my parents are so stupid,, that they weren't willing to do anything, because they're worried about antidepressants. I'm serious foks, they don't even want me to have internet, so I put up a fight with them...

DPM, you sound like a very troubled person, who has many problems. I really suggest going to see a doctor. Talk to someone! If you need, you can talk to me!

If a mod reads this, that wasn't a double post up there. after I said I was worried, somebody(I think it was Vaati) posted 'me too :o' but I guess they deleted it.

I recall distinctly, twas o0Zelda0o.

Anyway... it's difficult to really talk to people, it takes a while before youu can get really open with them. Unless of course, your my age, that doesn't really count...

I know a few others that are a lot more messed up than I. One had like half a dozen psychological disorders diagnosed to her, and she had tried and taken like over 20 different medications. Another friend has recently stopped taking her meds, except the anxiety one. She knows what I'm going through is withdrawal, and I HAVE gone through withdrawal before when I skipped my meds for a few days, you start to go a little unstable and shaking and have bad balance.

Both friends have tried to cut themselves off the meds, but as to what success may end up, it's unknown if things will return to normal...

Ill put it back if you wish i just didn't think I needed it there after you pointed it out Shikamaru.
Im sorry, i should have told you first.
I'll put it back later, because I need to go now.
Sorry again.

:s This is sort of troubling, does you're mom or dad know you've posted this on a message bord?

No, I'd prefer they'd not know... They're always suspicious of me, and they think I shouldn't trust anyone I meet on the internet... Not even in ye olde zelda fandom...  8) 8) 8) 8) ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

My parent's don't even think I should talk to Alex, or even show her pics... and she's showed me soooooo many of hers... I've never had this much trust from a girl before... usually, everyone is afraid of me.
