Title: Least Favorite Thing About Game
Post by: Mysterious F. on December 31, 2006, 10:12:27 AM
Admit it, we each have something we don't like about it. Mine is that, when you let go of the controls, Link continues to move anyway. I have the Gamecube version, so that could explain it. Or mabye something is wrong with the disc/Gamecube...

Anyways, what's your least favorite thing?

Mine is the saving of the game, cause when it saves I noticed it doesn't start off from where you saved it, like in kingdom hearts, it starts from where you entered the place. I don't like that, cause Im all lost and confused again.

True that, the first mini boss didn't even lay a paw on me.

Some of the dungeons seem a little short, and the spacing between each dungeon gets smaller as you progress.

And, as I stated in another topic, the Master Sword is too long.

I love the Master Sword! I just think that the SHEATH is to long! Or maybe the shield has just gotten smaller...

I hate the howling. It's tough and looks and sounds ugly. But other than that, I wish the Cave of Ordeals would've been as tough as TWW's. This was way too easy. Because you start each room at a point the enemies can't get to you, taking out either most or the toughest with bombs or bomb arrows is very easy.

yes the CoO was a little too easy untill i fought the three darknuts... that was challenging

(and wolf link the saving is like that in a lot of zelda games)

Darnit, I want REAL emotion in TP... maybe I'm becoming biased, you know, mentioning MM in a lot of my posts when comparing, while a lot of others compare OoT with TP, it's just that an element seems not to be there that was prominent in MM and WW, and to a slightly limited extent, OoT.

Heh, we saw sadness, we could FEEL their sadness, their happiness, their joy, their silliness, but here... the emotion doesn't seem real with many of them...  maybe I've not gotten that far to make such a comparision, but... it feels like it's missing something.

I wish that TP had spells in it, as well as a Magic Meter. I miss that. :'(

I was disappointed with the ending, I am not going to say why not to spoil anything for anyone who still has not beat it but it wasn't enough, especially after putting in 30+ hours.

The sheath is too long because the sword is too long ...

I wish there were more tunics or armour. The magic armour was pretty lame, even though it looks cool.

The story sucked, it left more questions then awnsers

I want to know why the Ordon kids got kidnapped, and when Malo, Talo, and Beth were kidnapped, because we never actually see that happen, they just disappear ...

I think they were only captured so Link would have a reason to start adventuring, unlike OoT, where he had none.

I'd also like to know if there are any connections of the Fado of TP and the Fado (sage) of Windwaker. It seems that him being named Fado is not a coincidence...
Title: Re:Least Favorite Thing About Game
Post by: Evahn on January 03, 2007, 07:22:05 PM
Oh, I hadn't even realized that Fado in TP had the same name as the other Fados. Name recycling, likely. But perhaps not?
Title: Re:Least Favorite Thing About Game
Post by: LadyNintendo on January 03, 2007, 11:41:35 PM
Definetly name recycling, though this is the only one who has a full name recycled. But it's not like Malo(n), Talo(n), (R)Auru, (La)Rut(o)ela, Dar(mani/unia)bus and IMPAz are hard to notice. And Ilia sounds (l and r are the same in Japanese) a lot like Aria, the girl that was originally planned to be Link's best friend in Zelda64 (Saria's name might be based on hers).

Impaz was (and she says so herself) named after the founder of the village. Or something like that.

I hated that you couldn't talk to the boars.  The bosses were way too easy.  The hardest boss was, yes, THE FIRST ONE.  Not because it was cause you had only 3 hearts, but I just couldn't figure out how to damage it.

yey your right about the bosses being to easy

I like easy bosses, sometimes, after really hard anr/or ungly dungeons i would be in no mood to deal with a hard boss. That's why I liked Armogohma from the Temple of time, it was the easiest boss ever. And yes, the first was very hard. The first time fighting it I died.  :'( I could not get it to explode next to that eye thing and it kept exploding on me.

he didn't have a reason to adventure in OoT? I thought the Deku Tree told him too...

I hate there is no bank. I would have loved to see a bank in this game, like MM. I have alot of money I want to save.
Title: Re:Least Favorite Thing About Game
Post by: Kingsley on January 24, 2007, 11:17:46 PM
I am going to say a lot of stuff here, but don't get me wrong, I LOVED THIS GAME.

Firstly, the bosses were easy, and not scary enough. The thing I liked about OoT was that when you entered the final boss room, and it was big and intimidating, you were really scared of what you were about to face. You dreaded going through that door, but you really wanted to. That was the case in WW and MM as well, but not this one. I wasn't scared, and I wanted to be.

Secondly, the music, though apt, wasn't memorable.

Finally, lotsa different tunics should have been there. IMO, the Magic Armour doesnt count. It was pathetic and un-used. There shoud have been more tunics though. Link looks cool wearing something different (Zora armour).

Ganon is a Gerudo. Yep, that's the thing I dislike about TP. I would also add Link's sword-hand in the Wii version, but I'll just play the GC version. :-*

he isnt a pig until late in the timeline
Title: Re:Least Favorite Thing About Game

I think that he means that until now, Ganon always was the pig/boar demon form, and Ganondorf the Gerudo form.

And a Puppet, technically. Now he's more, though.

He was embarassingly easy. Bosses reaallly disappointing in difficulty.

They should have just revamped the music from OoT. And a third sword and different clothes from magic armour.

A biggoron sword woulda been cool.

Oh, that's a good reason. "Here, Link, leave all your friends, your home, and everything else you have ever known; you will never have any of it again. I want you to go and find some princess you've never met, and save the world."

Seriously, what little kid is going to do that?

Link did.  ;)

The lack of Octoroks, less clothes, lack of a useless but awesome item (such as Biggoron's sword.), the entire re-using of Magic armour from wind waker.

The lack of a bank.. the music wasn't that great, the bosses were too easy.

I want to mention Link's sword hand, or rather... there's not an option for switching it on the Wii version. I use my left hand, and it's just awkward that things are a little slanted when I use them. It isn't hindering, but... I hate little things like that.

And it doesn't hinder the game. So... there wasn't really a logical reason for switching it.

But don't get me wrong, I love the game, especially the Poe and Golden Bug quests. I love long and pointless quests. And bigger wallets. owo

God I love the Zoras Dx

Arbiter's grounds made me a little angry. It was almost EXACTLY like the Forest temple. Four Poes take fire. Moving the walls to get to the next destination. "Creepy" enemies like the Wallmasters in the Forest, and ReDeads in Arbiter's.

I seriously love the game though, don't get me wrong. I like the fishing being a bigger part than it used to be.

Ohohoh, but I miss the Pictograph box.

I liked the skulltula. Ohmygod I missed them because of windwaker. <3

There was something else I was going to say, but I've forgotten. Crap.

The evil man is originally the Gerudo, Ganondorf Dragmire, but after many years in the dark world i guess he was consumed, and his Triforce changed him into the Piglike demon as a sign of his terror and power. He is the pig demon in the older games, but remember that OoT is the first chronological game, and there, Ganondorf is a rather normal Gerudo Male until he gets his hands on the Triforce.

Ganon wasn't easy, but he was fun, especially the 3rd part of the fight. But he's WAY to overused. He's the final boss in all but Zelda 2, 4, 6, 9, 12. And he's partially the final boss in 4, because Dehtl keeps changing. >:( And Zant sucked when you fought him. What retard programmewd his eyes and the way you fight him? He's easier than Armogohma!

i thought the fire dungeon was to easy (well for em any way) and the dungeons are huge like the sky temple it is masive
