Ever have a horrible dream, and wake up thinking that it actually happened? How powerful are your dreams? Do you sleep talk/walk/? Have you ever had the sensation that something was terribly wrong? It sends a shiver down your spine, but you cant place your finger on the chill itself. I have lots of stories to tell, because seldom do I have a good dream.
I watched a h20 with my cousin one time, and I had a dream that I was the guy being killed, and I woke up, and I think I may have peed my pants when my mom walked in. ;D
My friend jim had a powerful dream. He dreamed that him, and most of his friends, I included, were at war. The Chinese had invaded America, and kids were being drafted. Inside his dream, he was shot in his leg. He woke up with a bruse on his leg where he was shot.
Whoa, that is not normal.
If this helps, I heard somewhere that you're more likely to have a nightmare if you're sleeping in a cold room. Maybe you'll get a good dream or two if you heat up your room a little bit. ;)
Weird thing, one time I had a dream that my older sister Brenda was teasing me nonstops and I screamed "MOM!" and the funny thing is, I woke up right as I was yelling.
Another funny story is that one time I was having a slumber party with my sisters and they said that they were messing with my head while I was asleep they were pretending to be my 1st grade teacher (I was in 1st grade then) and they're saying "Where's Hayley? Is Hayley here? We'll have to mark her absent." And they said I was talking in my sleep saying, "I'm here! I'm here!"
Wow, that's strange. If I had that dream, I would be in a state of panic; I haven't missed a day of school since the first grade! (Kind of coincidental, no? ;) )
This is alot of freaky stuff. But then watching Sleepy Hollow at this hour and reading all this at the same time really puts the chill right down through my whole body. That and listening to my Mothers freinds singing Kareoke. Burrr! I'd say that sick fantasies haunt me. (Shudder) ???
I'll tell you what, if you have a alot of sugar tonigth and are staying up, then go to sleep, you might have nightmares. :D

People with ADHD can surprise you. In fact, caffine can put me to sleep. Coffee isn't a good thing to have in the moorrrnnnniiiiinnnnnnggggggg.....*Snore*
My sister was talking in her sleep on the ride back to TX from my vacation in MI. She shifted around in her seat, and said, "I gotta pass the test... (snore)" My mom and I who were still awake were laughing. Then get this. I said, "Good luck on the test mariesa!" And she replied "Thanks...(sniff)" I was laughing so hard! :P

Weird experiences that I'm rather familiar with... sometimes I'll talk in my sleep, and there's a very thin boundary between waking and dreaming where you do something in the dream, but you actually do it, like making a movement...
I've had dreams where I'm fighting with some people... and I'll punch someone, and My fist will hit the (real) wall and I'll immediately wake up. It's true, and it's happened quite a few times...
Sometimes I'm aware that I even call out or shout in my sleep... it's just weird when you're half in the dream world and half in the real world... maybe that's not an accurate description, but you get the idea.

once i had a dream where i was bit by a snake and i could actually feel the pain but i woke up and there was bite marks on my leg but no blood
I had a really scary dream once. I was really little in this dream, like back to my 6 year old days. I went to the zoo wiht my mom and dad and brother, and we had a great day. Then, on the drive back home, my brother was left in the zoo. He was all alone, and he was only like 8! So i was frantic, cause we had left him behind. But, no matter how many times i warned my mom and dad, they never reacted, they didnt even care. We never saw my brother again in that dream...
Now, you have to understand, the dream wasnt scary like ghost scary. It was scary cause my brother and I are really close, an if he ever died or got lost never to be found, that would be horrible. So it was a scary dream, in a sense.
One of the worst nightmares I had, was when I was outside of a castle with a moat around it. It was foggy and I look out into the horizon and saw something floating towards me. It looked like a banshee and it came closer and I woke up. The scary thing was though, I could still see it, even through I had my eyes open and I couldn't move,like I was paralazed. Dang that still sends shivers down my spine, even today. :'(

I think all of this may be because you're half-asleep or three-fourths-asleep when it happens.
Anyway, being the timid person that I am, I can dream about just any small scary thing and wake up instantly. For example, I remember having a dream that there was this giant orange bug outside. As soon as it would even touch me, I would wake up. :-*
I had a dream it was night and I was in my school with a bunch of friends.
I got shot in the chest and burnt with an old style flaming torch on my right leg near my foot.
When I woke up I had a searing hot feeling near my right foot, I checked and it was really red and burning hot, (there weren't any burn marks or anything).
For some weird reason I started shaking and burst into tears but my family calmed me down. It really freaked me out.
Heh, I'm not that much of a light sleeper anymore... But I can feel myself twitching in my sleep, just random 'normal' tics that your body makes... it's like you're moving, but you can't move and can only go in spasms.
When I have a dream that frightens me, I don't wake up all at once, I usually explore the dream a bit, and sometimes it shifts, I notice these weird details and recall them vividly, but to put it in language that people can understand is quite difficult. It's hard describing a dream, because I notice the weird transition phase from one dream to the next, it's like the dreams are blending, but the new dream usually leads to a part that's entirely different from the previous dream. They say that people usually dream about 4 or 5 times in a sleep cycle. But it's the dreams when you're about to wake up that you recall most vividly.
But somehow I notice my consciousness shift from one level to another, where things seem weird and devoid... maybe my consciousness notices these things because,I don't know, I might becoming more aware. Conscious awareness of dreams, they say that the subconscious mind is reflected in one's dreams. Heh, then I've noticed some reallly weird things my brain does when it's processing memories when I'm asleep. But for some reason, most others I know have a difficulty remembering their dreams vividly.
Sometimes when I'm frightened or feel like I'm in danger, while I'm asleep, I'll breathe heavily. It's not a dream, not completely, they say it's more along the lines of night terrors. This usually happens while I'm not dreaming, but more while I'm 'falling' into the dream world. You know, it's difficult, but it's possible to still be aware and experience the dividing walls of sleep and 'falling asleep'. Sometimes I literally feel like I'm falling. It's a really weird sense of vertigo.
I had a scary dream once. I dont know where i was. I was on a boat, with a few people. It was kind of like JAWS. We were shark testers, or marine biologists or whatever. There was an old man, a woman, a fisherman, and a snotty little kid. The snotty little kid was stealing inportant beakers, and the old man took them away, and positioned them higher. The kid got mad, and purposely droped his toy in a tank. There were sharks in the tank, but they were in a cage with an electric lock.
He asked the old man to get his toy. The old man dove in, and the kid pressed the button and released the sharks. It was really gorey, and just as i was about to strangle the kid, the sky darkened, and the woman got a horrid look on her face. She then said: "It's back..." I asked "Whats back?" But noboddy would answer me. Everyone was panicking, and running around the ship, as well as some scientists who appeared, and i was freaking out. A siren went off, and water began to flood the ship. Windows were breaking, and there was no way out. i was going to drow. I remember the feeling of water filling my lungs. Then I woke up. I have no idea what sparked such a dream, but it was scarier than it sounded.
To get off topic for just a sec, I think dreams are cool. They may be scary at times, but it's like an adventure in your head....and they are usually out of this world.
I had a weird dream once...i was in the park, and i saw this roller coaster in the distance. Now, normally a roller coaster isn't in the park near my house, but whatever. I went towards it and tried to get on, but the car sped past me and i nearly fell off the track (i was relly high up at this point, the coaster was on a hill). Then, suddenly, i was walking on the track. The dream ended when i just kept walking on the track, for the rest of my life...
I rarely have dreams anymore, or bad dreams at that, but when I do, I'm actually thankfull that my night wasn't just boring blackness. The scariest dream that I had that I still remember, was when I was about two or three. I dreamt I was teasing my dog Nuzzle by tugging his tail, he was facing away from me, and when I turned around, he was a cyclops. Now, for me to remember a dream that happend ten or eleven years ago, I'm thinking it must have really scarred me. ;D
i dont really have all that much bad dreams... actually i really dont remember most of my dreams... very rarely... i cant remember the last dram i had ;)
what i do alot is a get that wierd feeling like your falling... like not in a dream or anything, just all of a sudden, and like i jump when i wake up like i fell on my matress or something... does anyone ever do that?
You know what the wierdest thing is? When you realize you're inside a dream. It doesent happen to me often, but it does happen. I'm like, okay, this has to be a dream. Because in my dreams, i can slightly see the back of my head at times, like 3rd person.
When i realize I'm in a dreamn while I'm dreaming, that only makes the dream worse sometimes, cause i feel like i can't wake up. Even weirder is when i see myself in the drem, like ZV just said. It's like im a spectator..
Yeah, same here. When I realize im in a dream, im reckless, and ill behaved :P Ill do things that i wouldnt have the courage to do in real life.
o me 2! i love realizing im in a dream! its like you have magic powers! like one time a had this dream that i was in this deserted house and the monster things were coming for me and i was like, okay, this has to be a dream, so i like could do anything i want so i like pulled a gun outta nowhere and killed all the monsters! but soon after i realize im in a dream, i wake up...
I've dreamt about hurting people I know... people that have hurt/mocked me in one way or another. It disturbs me a little bit... because sometimes my thoughts are so dangerously violent. But I cannot hurt anyone... I would hurt myself more before doing that...
And sometimes, I'm running away... and time seems to slow down, and I cannot get away, because I'm on the ground, can't move...
My most memorable nightmare/dream is one in which I was about to get violently killed and woke up (and that's all I'm gonna tell about it). I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling, realizing one thing: I was happy. Not the cheering happy, but the simple smile kind of happy. And it wasn't for waking up either. It was kinda disturbing, but I started analysing my dreams/nightmares (no difference) after that. Conclusion: for a self procalimed pacifist, I am rather violent. Most of my dreams follow certain patterns and contain a lot of violence, but also loyalty. And I don't care if I survive my dream or die in it.

I read in this book about the human brain that whenever you have a bad dream, it's usually about the stuff you try to block out of your memory and forget about.
I had a dream that this old fisherman sacrificed his own life to save me in the cold atlantic seas and a shark ate him so I could swim to a platform. Then the other day I dreamt that I saved my brother from a shark in the South of France then got my arm torn off and dragged into the depths...
Oh well last night I dreamt that a load of emos came to my house for a party and started poking me with sticks when I tried to fall asleep on the sofa. Then I took my dog for a walk and my brother, aunt and mum followed me. Then I shouted at them becuase they had left my grandma in my house with all the emos. It was weeird.
On New Years, I fell asleep at about 1:30 A.M. and had a dream that I stayed up until dawn.
I once had a dream were i voilently killed Santa Clause in armed combat along with a sqiurrel, and strangley enouhg it happened in the woods
I had a wierd dream the other night. Me, my mom, dad, sister, and my mom's friend were at what seemed like a bank/library. This man came in with a pistol, and shot my mom's friend in the face, and she died instantly. My parents, and my sister put their hands in the air, and he said "dont move" and went the other way.
I instinctively took off out the door, looking for a weapon that respawned. (it was like a video game, halo to be more exact) I ran around the large building, and found a sub machine gun. Battling my way back to the bank/library, I returned to find my parents missing, and my sister as well.
I walked inside to find the man with the gun, who seemed pre-occupied at the moment, and the lady behind thre counter said "Your parents were full of them selves, and charged the man. They died." I turned and looked at the man, and opened fire. He kept comming. I pulled out my knife, and stabbed him in the heart and in the forehead after he wouldnt die.
I then cried at the loss of my parents, and went on a killing spree around the city in berzerk unimaginable blind fury. In a raging thunderclap of anger, i tore the city apart, and woke up sweating. It was such a wierd dream.
that reminds me of the dream i had when i was person in World of Warcraft, except it ended with me crashing into a cliff...
Recenlty, i had a dream that a sick, twisted horrible demon came out of my closet and tried to kill me...It was a very vague dream, not much detail...
Also, i have dreams about loved ones dying alot, like my mom or dad. Maybe i dream what i fear.
last bad dream i had...really wasn't bad was me playing hot potatoe with a grenade...i didn't lose. it was in the sewers or a tunnel system of sorts...it really wasn't that bad.
i have a dream every night, they're nothing special though, things i can pretty much do when i'm awake...but i do get the rare wicked one where i do some actual magical leprechaun jives.

My dreams, and even my waking thoughts are too violent... maybe its this type of repression that causes one to have such dark fantasies, as with what ZV and Lady N have posted.
They say its normal... they also say that people become what they hate... Maybe its this kind of thing that sparks one's fascination...
I've had dreams where I thought that I ws still awake, you know how I get Insomniac, it's like things are getting weird and even weirder, you feel high. It's like your body has turned to vapor. SOmehow I've been able to replicate these effects in my dreams. Feels really funky though...
