Former president/michigan football player Gerald ford has passed away, I didn't know if anyone made a topic on this or not, so I made one.
I would've made one earlier, but I knew that you would want to. You more deserve to make it than I do.
Still, it's a terrible loss. This is the second loss in the last few months that Michigan has lost someone dear. Man, that is two losses too many! :'(
He was the last surviving member of the (I think) Warren Commission. Now, the Commission is truly no more. :'(
Yeah, the other person michigan lost was the beloved coach Bo shembechler, on the michigan helmets, it has 48/bo, in dedication to each of the former michigan men. Now when they dedicate a game to someone, they are suppose to win, not be tieing, or close to losing. ;D
happened last week didnt it?
Yeah, I think it was last week.
I find it odd that we're focusing on his football career rather than his Presidential career.
lol! Good point. I guess as we grow older the teeter-totter will fall the other way.
Well, most of us pay more attention to football than our President...I think we've all given up on him...

Speaking of football carrer, did you know he was the most athlectic president? And he was on two national championship michigan wolverine teams, 33 and 34 I do believe. And he was one of the only people to have his number(48) retired? I found it all very interesting.
I never really did research him much, he's one of the presidents I don't know much about.
Oh, he was a great one at the university of michigan, one of the greatest centers ever to come out of the game, he was going to go to the NFL, but he turned it down and went to law school, I think yale, and graduated their, and became a president.
wow...I can't really think of any other president's who did that much in sports....Dwight David Eisenhower would have been, in fact he wouldn't have ever thought of being president, if he hadn't injured his knee and been forced to quit football.
mmhmmmmm, why don't I know who that is?
he was another president.
You don't know who Dwight D. Eisenhower is?
He was also a famous military general in...I think it was one of the world wars. It's been a while since I read the article on him...
I don't know much about him, only his carrer at michigan. :D
