Okay, I love to roleplay, and it annoys me that nobody roleplays, so I wanna start one. It will be a medieval/fantasy setting, at the scene of a battlefield. A civil war has been raging for five years, and this could very well be the deciding battle. The two forces are camped on hills facing each other, with a wide basin below them. The basin has a river running through the middle of it, and there are some trees spread out across the landscape. You get to choose which force you would like to be on, the east or west. I will lead the west. The next person to join can choose whether or not to lead the east-first person to call it gets it.This is my character, and the format to describe your character in.
Name:Sabretache(saber for short)
Appearance: Red tanktop, torn jean shorts, untamed medium length brown hair, a saber over his back, and a dirk tucked in his belt.Brown eyes, hair always falls over left eye.
Description: a travelling mercenary who entered the war at the beginning. His stellar swordsmanship got him control of his own unit, which he is about to lead into battle. He has limited pyro powers which allow him to conjure small fireballs and ignite his saber in battle.
Background: He lived in a small mountain settlement before a raid left everyone else dead. at the age of seven, he took his father's saber and went seeking revenge which still eludes him.

anyways, I am still shooting for lone wolf, so I would like to have this roleplay here. it's legal, right? so here's my post.
Saber sat on a large rock near the peak of the hill, honing his saber on the edge. across the valley, he could see the enemy camp, a small collection of tents with a large bonfire in the middle, with a small band of soldiers dancing around it, hefting their weapons and shouting defiantly at the heavens. Sighing, he looked over at his camp. the setup was the same; however, all his recruits appeared to be sleeping or doodling on the ground with knifetips. He brushed his hair out of his eye and continued to hone his blade, all the while trying to think of a way to rally his unit.
"They seem real enthused by this..." A voice remarked sarcastlically. A man (http://tn3-1.deviantart.com/fs5/300W/i/2004/286/4/d/Amidamaru_is_purpleee_y_by_inui.jpg) stood behind Saber, with hsi arms folded. He wasnt a part of the camp! Who was he? An enemy? And alliance? He was garbed in black and red armor, and he bore the shiekah symbol on his left chest plate. He had light blue, almost purple hair, and it was pulled back in a ponytail. He had piercing eyes, and a strong build.
OOC: When speaking Out of Character, or out of the story, please mark it OOC. If you like, I can delete anything that isnt part of the story Shikamaru.
OOC: I wasn't thinking of it, since the roleplay hadn't started yet. I don't think it will be a problem though.
Saber rolled off the rock, drawing a dirk in his belt as he rose. He pointed the saber's tip at the man's chest, yelling out,"Intruder!" Lowering his voice, he grated between clenched teeth,"Who are you?"
"Hmhmhmhm... You point your saber at me like you know how to use a blade." The man smiled, and raised his hands, as if to surrender. "Dont worry, I dont wish to harm you. However, I'm unfamiliar with you, and your morals, and I would feel more comfortable if I didnt have to divulge the information."
The samurai looked onward to the enemy tents set up below. "I dont intend to reveal my motives either. But that army has taken things that I held precious. I will never forgive them..." He cracked his knuckles, and his eyes seemed to bore into Saber's soul as he stared into his eyes. "Of course, if you dont trust me..." His voice trailed off.
Saber returned the gaze just as harshly for several seconds, then slowly lowered his saber, but didn't release his grip. "Fine. I'll hear you out. Men, keep your weapons ready though."
The man looked outward. I'll be fighting along side you. It's only cusomary that you know my name. My name is Dogura Shadowclaw. Dogura shifted uncomfortably as if he said something he later wished to draw back.
"...Shadowclaw? I wonder, why are you called that?"
OOC: Ok, oddly enough, this character was created before I had even heard of naruto, even before i joined TDC. Not only does he have an inner demon, but he has a holster full of shuriken, and can travel through shadows, also melding with them. It angers me because people say i copied Naruto, when he was created before the show existed :-*
IC: Dogura almost fell over. Grrr... I said too much.. I guess i'll have to explain myself now... Alright, alright. Everyone in my clan had the last name of Shadowclaw. We were a prosperous clan of people. However, one day, we were invaded. We fought down to the last man, and only my mother and i survived. My mother later died of a Hylian disease..."
The samurai paused, looking up at the sky, which was showing signs of storms. The wind caressed his face, and he looked back to Saber, preparing to continue his explaination. "Our clan had the special ability to mold into the shadows, and travel through them if need be. Now, on to why the name Shadowclaw was givin to us. I'm only going to say this once, so listen carefully. I will not tell you why we are named Shadowclaw. End of story."
Dogura had made up his mind. He had already givin more information than he first intended, and didnt like to repeat himself. "I'll stay up during the night, and keep an eye on the enemy camp. If they try to pull anything funny, you'll all know. Dont worry about me. I sleep possibly once every few weeks. I had to train myself to stay awake during the invasion. If I fell asleep, my mother and i would have been in danger. Night draws near. Judging by the posistion if the sun, i would say it's near 6:30."
Saber closed his eyes and his brow furrowed as he thought it over. Suddenly he snapped his head up. "Soldiers!" His subordinates tightened their grips on their weapons and stepped forward."...at ease." The soldiers stared at him in disbelief for a moment, then put their weapons away. He beckoned for the nearest soldier, the guard captain. He bent over and whispered into the captain's ears, "I feel as though I can trust him, but you never know. Keep a watch on him from a distance throughout the night. any stealthy moves, don't hesitate to strike. He would be a powerful ally. The outcome of this battle could rely on his loyalty. Therefore we will give him extra ration and make sure he is comfortable. This is one fight we can't afford to lose."
Dogura's sensitive hearing picked up the words spoken with ease, but he decided not to say anything more than "Dont worry yourself about me. Your soldiers are to be well taken care of. I'm a loner, and no, Im not fighting for you, or your reasons. I'm fighting for myself, and only for my reasons. It just so happens we have our sights set on the same goal.
Dogura picked up his sword, and meandered over to the edge of the small cliff hanging above the enemy camp. "Get rest. Although I'm not fighting for you, I'm a man of my word, and I wont betray your trust. If they attack, and i wake you, then my debt is repayed." The samurai watched the camp, readin their grim thoughts.
OOC:ugg,I hope somebody else comes along, we need a leader for the other army...
Saber stared a long minute, then sheathed his sword. 'Okay men, get some rest."

A giant 15 foot Jackolantern that has actual triangular-shaped eyes where the eye-holes are. For arms and legs, there are very large vines twice as long as my height. He has six of them.
Powers:
Gigantic intelligence.
Can grow many, 2 foot Jackolanterns in a half a mile wide circle around itself. These can float, breathe fire, and explode when hit or at will. Can make up to 100 in one day.
The main body can also breathe fire.
Can hypnotize anything to any extent.
This is not a magical ability, but the vines can be used as whips.
Can see in the dark, not magical.
Weaknesses:
All magical abilities cost huge amounts of energy and using them recklessly for large periods of time will weaken him, but he can recover from it over a day or two.
Despite immortality, if he's dismembered it will take some time to regrow, or he could just use slaves to piece him together if he has enough power left. This takes a large amount of time, though, like a few days.
He isn't very fast, but isn't slow either, but the length of his vines and other attacks can make up for it.
Fire, Ice, and Water are very bad.
One day every 100 years I have no powers except hypnosis, unfortunately this day is the one.
Background:
Originally a human from over 1,000 years ago, he had a completely evil soul that always dreamed of destruction. He one day gained a jewel that granted him infinite power and immortality at the cost of him transforming into a form mimicking his personality, a Jackolantern, and thus gaining the name Hallo. He was soon buried by after a dismemberment that took him years to regenerate, and still can't get out. He then watched as the civil war began.
Role:
He's been manipulating the government through his hypnosis powers to make decisions favoring the more prosperous east and slowly destroying the west economically and politically. Once civil war began, he began to manipulate the east to have a battle close to where he is buried, and after victory will be dug out. He will then take over the nation, and then the world.
Overall:
A giant Jackolantern that can use many haunting and unmerciful abilities. He has been maipulating the east to have what looks like the deciding battle next to his 'grave', where his plan of events will conquer the nation unfold.
So, do you think that is a change of events?

Saber lay on his side in his tent. He couldn't sleep. He sat up and walked outside, and saw that many of the nervous soldiers had the same problem. Most were merely whetting their blades with a hallowed, empty look on their face. He couldn't blame them. They knew this would likely be their last battle. He had to admire their courage though. He hadn't had a single runaway the entire campaign--these men knew what they were fighting for, but more importantly, who. If they left, their families were done for. They may not make it home, but they would do all they could to make sure the home stayed there.
He looked once again across the valley, and saw the silhouette of the enemy leader. he couldn't believe they were really up against something so...massive. He would have to find some way to at least stall the creature long enough to take out the rest of the army--then they would try to find some way to bring it down.
Don't worry, my sense of good vs. evil will let me lose, but you'll have to find out how to beat the army before they win. Also, when you finally beat me, please have an entire unit guard my grave, please, if you feal like it. You could think of something else. This is the only day I could die, due to the one hundred thing.
"It's working." said the leader of the other army "They're falling for the illusion of our master we made. Too bad he has no powers today, but once we win he'll be dug out and the world will one day be his."
"We should strike them while they fall for it." his right-hand man replied.
"Mabye, but that's HIM we're fiting." he answered "One wrong turn and we could lose. So... we should inatead just use some cannons in the shape of pumpkins that are behind the illusion to make it seem to them he's already back."
"Good idea, I always new you would come through." His right-hand man said proudly.
"Go tell the cannon-ers down there to fire at the enemy." the leader commanded "Tell them also that they have a long battle ahead of them."
And with that, he left, while the leader began to think to himself.
"Just wait, Lord Hallo. You'll be brought back in no time with you leading us."
Saber squinted against the rising sun. "I see...movement...I need the spotter!" a soldier carrying a telescope hurried up beside him."There, the right side of the hill! What' going on?" The spotter stared through the scope at the spot. "It looks like...pumpkins?"
The last word set off an immediate wave of tension like a whip-crack. Saber pulled out his weapon and called out to the soldiers. "The battle is beginning! All men get equipped and into position immediately! Today we make history, no matter the outcome!" A roar leapt from the throats of the small regiment that had spoken barely a word the whole time they had been there--if they were going down, they were going down with a fight.
"Hmmm, their loss." Hallo mumbled from underground "But damn the insolent fools that buried me here. I might not have had my powers that one day or today, but I will win. Of course, my vines can reach the surface, but only barely, and so I couldn't do anything they, in mockery of me, put a dead Jackolantern over over my vines to immobilize them. But once I'm back up, I'll finally slay their efforts."
Meanwhile, the pumpcannons (nice name!) were beginning to do some damage, killing two or three of them and making the area hard to navigate.
"Phase One of Three completed." mumbled the head of the army. "As soon as we win, Lord Hallo will be risen, and the world shall be his. And look! They still fall for the illusion. All hey think of is runnig strait to it, so let's sympathyze them by removing it, and with that
Phase Two begins."
Then, with a snap of his fingers, the illusion disappeared, revealing the cannon-ers to the other army and, along with that, a much larger cannon right where the illusion was that was pointed right at the enemy, with a short fuse that looked like only lasted another three seconds, when suddenly the fuse ended, and the cannon erupted a large, orange bomb the was headed straight to the army.
Saber looked up as the image disappeared. "Knew it. Fire Counter!" He had seen them assembling the cannons earlier, so he had a little surprise prepared. Two men left on the hill pulled down the main tent and revealed a large cannon. It fired straight towards the mouth of the large pumpcannon, and the two cannonballs collided with a massive explosion."GET DOWN!!!" He called as he flung himself behind a tree to avoid the debris. "Now, fire!"
While the battle had been going on, four cannons had been concealed around the sides of the hills, and had been carefully sighted on the group of enemy cannons. Now that the cannonballs had collided, a huge smokescreen hung in the air, but the cannons still had their lock. They fired through the smoke at the enemies and cannons who couldn't see them coming.
"I'll take care of it!" Cried the left-hand man of the leader.
And with that he lept down and blew a gigantic breath and created a large gust of wind that blew all smoke away. Now the soldiers could see and could dodge some of them.
"I wonder, should I help them with it?" the Leader pondered.
"Phase Two is already beginning, so that wouldn't be a good idea." he answered himself.
"Still.." he continued.
"No!" he yelled at himself. "We must continue according to plan. Using it once means not using it again. You can only use it once a day, and you must wait 'till Phase Three to use it."
"Fine." he mumbled disapointedly.
"Use your stuff, right hand!" he ordered to his nearby right-hand man.
"Fine with me!" Right-Hand answered.
Right-Hand then pulled out two large swords with, where the tip would be, a large ball. As he began swinging them in a very detailed pattern, a large storm suddenly appeared and lightning struck noth the battlefield where the enemy was and the top of their hill, which caught on fire.
"How will you get out of this one, I can't wait to see, if you can." The Leader commented, and with that began to chuckle a bit.
Saber stared at the flaming hilltop until he saw the two moving figures."he missed with the bolt.Good." He smirked. "that makes the fire useless." As he said the last word he held out his sword and his eyebrows furrowed. "Keep pressing on, I'll come in a minute! It should be easier to get up there, our attack took out their cannons!" While he was talking, the fire was streaming off the hill to his blade. After a few seconds, the flames were dancing along his saber, burning brightly. He placed his hand on it and absorbed the rest of the fire into his palm, where it hovered as a huge fireball. "Now...the black powder for their cannons should prove as a welcome target..." he spun and hurled the fireball at a spot a bit away from where the decimated cannons lay, where barrels of powder were collected. From up on the hill, the two saved cannoneers readied another shot, as well as the cannons on the side.
Suddenly, that illusion with the cannoners and stuff disappeared, and so did the illusion that the fire missed the enemy headquarters (that means you HQ, Shikamaru Nara) so did the illusion of the battle. All of it was an illusion from the beginning, and Saber's real soldiers were tied up in their beds.
And, the worst for Saber yet, Phase Three began.
"Are you ready?!" yelled the Leader.
"Ready when you are!" he answered back.
The Leader jumped up and then molded in his hands a giant, black sphere that removed the sky form Saber's view. The Leader than threw the sphere down to the ground and, more specifically, towards the flaming hill where Saber's men were tied up. At first, nothing happened, but then a flash appeared. When it disappapeared, the entire flaming hill, the men, everything, was gone, moved to another dimension.
"The bad news is I had to kill all of my own men to use it, but it worked." Leader yelled at Saber "It's just a battle between the two of us to decide the fate of the world."
"Isn't that wonderful?" He yelled back in a slightly different tone, and then it became clear that he had a split personality.
