This is a link to a site that has a whole bunch of songs on it that you can play backwards, and they have hidden messages in them, and some of them are pretty freaky (Pokemon, ha ha). The Beatles ones and the Stairway to Heaven one is old news, and some of you have probably already heard them already. What you you all think of this stuff? I am too tired to talk about what I think right now.
Wow, that was some weird stuff, man. And that guy has too much time in his hands, 'cause finding songs like that must take a while. That was pretty funny, some of the stuff you can find.
Bahahaha, that Pokemon one is hilarious. Though I am skeptical how "gotta catch them all" sounds like "I love satan" backwards.
I know, I laughed at it too. Makes you think... ;D I don't think he found those songs himself, at least most of them. I think the Led Zeplin one as well as the Beatles songs were discovered like in the 80's or something, and "Another One Bites the Dust," I have heard about that on several occasions.
I have heard a little bit about there being a lot of satanic messages in music, even some Christian Hymes. It's scary, but I think it is true. My theory is it gets put in by the subconscience or something, because all people are sinful and evil on the inside. Heck, maybe Satan is telling those people what to say to spread his messages. Crazy crazy stuff.
One thing you can do if you have a sound recorder and a mic on your computer is record the clip and play it in reverse.
Play anything backwards and you can make whatever you want out of it. Particularly the stairway lyrics; the first time I listened to it, I didn't see the "show lyrics" buton. so i listened to it and it sounded like gibberish, granted I did hear "satan" but that was because I knew that was what I was supossed to hear. I listened to it again, and I'll be damned if I didn't hear the same thing as the lyrics told me I would. But once again because I knew what I was supposed to hear. The fact that people go out looking for this kind of thing is proof not of people's inherent evil, but rather of people's interest in the negative end of the spectrum. The human mind loves stories, and stories are based in conflict. Heaven is boring. Peace, calm, happyness, make for crappy stories. Romace movies never show anything after the two lovers come together because then every thing is happy. The audience wants to see the two lovers forever suspeneded in the moment of the resolution of conflict. The film its self is about the struggle to reach that point. that is where the interest lies. People go looking for this kind of thing because the concept of divine insperation to the lyrics of Stairway is no fun. There would be no conflict. So the song is good, it sounds good, it means good things, so what. BORING! but if the lyrics mean evil things well (excuse the pun) Hell Yeah! now we can be interested.
The lyrics purposed on the site are gibberish. little tool sheds and sad satan is just words, there is no real meaning behind them, think about it for a second. He'll give those who with him 666. What exactly does that mean? the mark of the beast does not translate as power. it just a mark, breaking people into two groups those who are with God and those who are with The Old Boy. So why would it be important if Satan gave it to the writers of the song or not. Even the "hidden meaning" lyrics dont ever claim its a good thing. If I take any word and replace one letter it is not a secret message. It's just gibberish. If I mumble, wich is frankly what is happening when you play anything backwards, your just muddling the intended message it doesn't mean anything. It may SOUND like something, but that is entirely depenednt on you.
Not to mention Satan is not "his" name. Satan is a term for a fallen angel. The proper name is Lucifer.
People love reading into this sort of thing because it makes their day to day lives more interesting. It gives them the feeling that there is something beyond reaching out to influence their and other's lives. The concept that "something" could be God, never crosses peoples minds because its too easy and too boring. But make that something the devil and suddenly everyone has a freakin' website...
Ah, thank you for bringing this back to life. I wanted to post a little while ago, but didn't. I find myself agreeing with most, if not all of what you said.
I got on the Sound Recorder program and tested that stuff out. Said, "Gotta catch 'em all, came out "I love Satan." Said, "Another one bites the dust," sure enough, "It's fun to smoke marijuanna." Then I tried something else, I "sang" part of a Chevelle song into the computer and reversed it.
Forward: Never rehearse, they've spiked the water, it's in the blood, GET SOME!
Reverse: (I am not kidding) OH SATAN! Well he makes me know, and he helps me serve him.
So yep, that pretty much convinces me to side with you. No wonder it got so big back in... well whenever. Some dude decides, hey, I am going to make my forty-five spin backwards, and then, "OH CRAP, SATAN IS IN OUR MUSIC!" Then he goes out and tells his friends and they investigate, and pretty soon, everyone is in an uproar.
Wahhh HA HA HA HA HAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys HAVE to check out the new one that guy has on his site!
Oh wow ^^. Even Weird Al's in on it now? Not sure if he can validate the hidden message though...
I bet anything that he put that in there on purpose. There is no way it could have come out that clear on accident. "Satan eats Cheese Wizz," ;D that is GREAT!
I'll listen to that tomorrow, it's 3 am and the stupidest things freak me out at this time. Seriously.
Sounds interesting, though... "Satan eats cheese wizz"? Who else is willing to bet Weird Al planted that in there on purpose?
the slim shady one has no reson to be there. its random. you kida have to admit the stairway to heven is real tho i mean a bussel in youer hegrow what in links name does that mean!?!? ???
QuoteWho else is willing to bet Weird Al planted that in there on purpose?
Possibly someone who studied Cheese Whiz and found that the product caused some sort of commotion some time before Weird Al wrote the song? It could happen. :D
I just remembered, in a movie called "Little Nicky," a comedy staring Adam Sandler as the son of Satan, there is a part where someone puts a Chigago record on a player and spins it backwards and it says, "In the name of Lucifer I command you, spill the blood of the innocent." Funny to see this stuff working its way into movies. Hey, does anyone know where I could find a sound clip of that song and the backward version. I think it is called "Does anyone really know what time it is?" I am surprised it is not on that site.
i no this is really stupid but my friend lee did a report on playing songs backwards in 8th grade. hisa lauange teacher said do na report on any thing that has at least little importance to the world. he got a b-
I am bringing this topic out of the grave. I managed to upload the song "Get Some" by Chevelle and have it so it plays backwards. In the first 10 seconds you can kinda hear "OH SATAN! Well he makes me know and it helps to serve him." But really you can make it say anything using selective listening. This stuff is fun to play around with when you are bored.

In that one I also heard the words ahem... "milk-farmer," won't say the real thing, but you know, MF.
Doen't one of The Beatles one say something like Paul is a Dead man? shadowlink13? Do u like the beatles?
Yep, "Paul is a dead man. Miss him, miss him, miss him!" Do I like the Beetles? Can't say I do, can't say I don't.
So, deos that mean u do?
LOL. No, it means I don't know.
Oh...
I found another one. I had to listen to it several times before my mind picked up/fabricated anything distinguishable.
What I hear when I play the backwards track is: "Argh! Satan is guilty because, oh! their all bleeding... (indistinguisable) It's nice that the celery's paid for. Where are the (indistinguishable)?"
