Not to bring anyone's spirits down or anything, but my dog died today (Nov. 15). His name was Thunder, and he was a 15 year old American Eskimo. Here's a picture of him:

I was the one who found him. He had drowned in my neighbor's pool. Hurricane Wilma blew our fence down a couple weeks ago. He had never bothered to pass over until today.
To those of you who have lost actual human family members, then you can consider me lucky. Those of you who have lost a pet probably feel my pain. But to those of you who still have your dogs, cats, fish, whatever, know this: cherish them with all your heart.
In loving memory of Thunder Acuna.

I feel bad for not posting on here too. Sorry about your loss. Having a pet die can be painful, I know. 15 years old, my gosh! That is a good age for a dog like that. You and your family must have taken good care of it.

better up there then down here
Woah. This was pretty random.
Well, thanks anyways, but I didn't really expect this topic to get any replies in the first place. I just figured I'd post it in memory of Thunder.
Oh, and yeah, 15 is a pretty good age for a dog to die at, but I just feel it was kinda unfair for him to drown, rather than die of natural causes. I always wonder how much longer he might have lived...
Oh well. His death is in the past, but his memory lives on.

cant u guys have mercy? i feel so sorry that ur dog died. but, 15 IS a good age for a dog to die. well, he's in doggy heaven.
hey,my dog is about 18 now and here he is,sniffing out chocolate ;D
You know chocolate is poisonous to dogs, right? I had a black lab and she ate this big thing of fudge along with all the tin foil that was with it. She made it through without a problem.
Heh. One New Year's Eve my dog ate a plate of Chocolate Eclairs. He also made it through just fine.
lol of course i know it's poisonous, but irrestible!
dog will eat almost anything! my brothers x-friend has a dog, named Buddy, and hes like, 19!
all my dog does is eat, sleep, and barks to go to the crapper
I can't imagine living your life and not having a pet at some time or another... It just doesn't seem right. At the moment I have adopted a stray cat who liturally followed my mum into the house and started mewling for food. This was about a year after our last cat died. We have now had him for a couple of years though we nearly lost him at the end of the first year. He got into the habit of mewling at cars as they passed our street for food. Eventually he was run over by a driver who, as far as we can tell from the skid marks, swerved of the road and into Jack our cat before driving off. Anyway, Ill pay tribute to your dog. Long may his memory live on.
