It is a music video contest, me and three of my friends are doing it. if we get first then we get $25,000. Voting starts in March, so around then I may be asking those of you with Youtube accounts to vote for us...it's to the song New Numa, and we are going to start filming this weekend. so I will basically try and keep this thread updated with the latest developments in our quest for glory, and putting up the videos we make to get advice and such.
FIRST DAY
we put in 4 hours of work and got less than a minute of usable footage and ten minutes of botched takes. I guess we'll have a blooper reel ;)
Mostly we couldn't figure out how to get the video camera to work, turned out we had the wrong film. Got that fixed, then jesse kept messing around with everything during the intro, and dropped the drum pads on my foot. once again, blooper reel. As soon as I figure out how to get everything on the computer I will do that.
SECOND DAY
we have all the actiony stuff done now, so the rest will be much easier, and there won't be so many outtakes.

that's what we said. Plus we are going to be using said money to fly one of our friends who is filming with us back from Kansas in the summers. He's moving in a month or so, so we need to film now.

hmm....it says there are a few hundred contestants listed, bu we see only 150 videos or so, and like twenty are by the same guy.

nope. We already have a camera, and we can make props with the stuff around the house. If we hired an actor we wouldn't get to keep any of the 25 grand anyways...

ugh..we didn't get to film today. I told everyone we would start today, they all agreed to it, and now today I left messages and sent emails and everything ut I can't get a hold of ANYBODY!

Wow, $25,000? You could buy a brand new car and still have money left over! Do you have anything specific in mind if you do win? Who's sponsoring the contest?
Gary Brolsma and some other company are sponsoring it...first in line is tickets so we can fly our friend who's moving next week back here in the summers.Then I'm thinking a Wii, DS, and PSP, maybe a drumset. Stephen wants a new dirtbike and then who knows what, and Levi hasn't said anything. oh yeah, a really sweet airsoft gun would be nice...

The DS, however, should be easy to get. Just be sure to get a DS Lite, they made much better than the original.

anyways, we cut Levi out of it because he kept canceling on us at the last minute, today was the last straw. Stephen and Jesse are coming over now and we will commence filming shortly.

I think we do have a good chance, a lot of the videos are just stupid, ours is actually creative. We are almost done with the hunting part...then we have to film all the dancing and band scenes.

Stephen. it's fun, I go all kung-fu on him...we kept messing up and took four takes...it was so fun, but he had the crap beat out of him so he wasn't very happy...

it needs a lot of editing and such...we have more of a blooper reel than anything... I will probably make a movie of Stephen being beat up over and over and over...poor kid...
