Title: saying bye to you wonderful people
Post by: oh-how-unreal on January 24, 2007, 09:51:25 PM
Your forum is the best ever.  I can see that it's too good for me and so I have decided to quit.  The grammar here is excellent and you'll all lead rich and exciting lives.  Thank you and good bye.

P.S: Gamefreak's the best.

Oh my we lose a GUEST!!!! NOOOOOO And frankly if you cannot use proper grammer you are not just unwelcome here but your unwelcome in society because when you grow up, and I have a good idea who you are kid, I love how you hide behind the Guest face, you will need proper grammer to succeed and if that is too hard for you, well you better learn how to flip burgers, junior.

You can't really blame anyone, because everything you write makes no sense ... sorry ...

Well hopefully the mods are getting this idiot's IP address because if they try to come back again later and start another conflict they can alert their IP provider and have them dropped from their service and see how they like it with no Internet until they go and pay another provider to pick them up.

I love this job.....

Also bgrugby, I'm not in charge of tracking and banning members.  That responsibility falls down to Jack alone.

Yeah but you can view their IP Addresses right? That way you can tell Jack what hey did and give them their IP Address.

Also, that wasn't very nice at all, bgrugby. And he was a member who Logged Off. (erased himself from the Member's List, therefore being labeled "Guest") Although he wasn't here (at least, I don't think so) when you said that, that was very uncool. Insulting a member is against the rules, you know, and guests are included. A warning goes to you.

It looks like Miko/Breton Just deleted his account. Gotta learn something Bgrugby, it seems that Miko recieved a PM from Jack, and then he went back to his ban status.

I agree that you were a bit harsh, bgrugby, but you were right that it may help for people to learn proper grammar.

Does anyone else find it a bit odd that he quit because he claimed his grammar will never match up to ours, and yet he actually used decent grammar in his good-bye post?

Wow, I completely missed the "Edit by Gamefreak" at the end of the post.  And then I saw what was actually said in the quote bgrugby managed to get before Gamefreak edited the post.  Silly me. ;)

To be fair, it is not insulting a member, if the guy is no longer a member. If I remember correctly, I believe quite a few of you guys were insulting Ganon/Sparrow when you thought he had left...

Ok, I made a topic on people leaving, he posted in it, so why did he make another topic on it? I think this can be locked now.

Post by: darkphantomime on January 25, 2007, 04:33:52 PM
GAH! Why must you make claims to lock every bloody topic? Maybe some other people have a point to make, so maybe it shouldn't be just YOU that calls for the locking of a topic...

Seems as if this is the fourth topic which you think should be locked today.

Well, I had made a topic on leaving or returning members, he could have had some since to notice the sticked topic.

except miko deleted his account. Does that point still rest?

It's a valid point, but you'll have to take it up with him, he issued the warning.  If it were me, I would have repealed the warning.
Title: Re:saying bye to you wonderful people
Post by: bgrugby on January 25, 2007, 05:27:16 PM
I am not really that upset about the warning considering I made the comment to someone who was swearing and insulting all of us. I stick by it and I do not care if it was harsh, many of you did not see what he actually wrote, but next time I will make sure to either say nothing or just say "Bye, bye dirty mouth"
Title: Re:saying bye to you wonderful people
Post by: Mysterious F. on January 25, 2007, 05:38:19 PM
Oh, I didn't know he insulted members, my bad!  ;)

Still, it does count as insulting them. He only just left, and he still can be watching as a guest right now as we type.

Also, Darkthingymajigor (your name is too confusing), Ganon was a much more major issue than miko turned out to ever be. He somehow found a way to get on and insulted everyone, and Jack didn't come back for a while, so every mod besides me was stuck with him. (I was having an absent period at that time)

He probably wanted to make a bang of an exit, the title included profanity so obviously he was thinking of making a big deal.

But I changed it.  I think it's more fitting, and it was also the point(which I think) he was trying to make.

I wouldn't say it was solely you.  I mean, I as well as quite a few others asked him (as well as other members) to clean up his grammar.  He decided to ignore us (as well as the other members we asked to clean up their grammar), so we continued to ask him to clean up his grammar.  So instead of being mature about it, he left, apparently cussing us out as he did so.

Do not drag me into this mess, I was only retailating on the idiot's swearing and insults to us...pre-edit.

And I get a warning for sticking up for everyone on here...including the mod that gave me the warning...next time I won't I guess, seems like poetic justice does it not? Since I was one of the ones who help create the rules that are in effect now.

I'm not going to edit your post.  I only edited the topic creator's because:

1. It was offensive. (I'd edit yours too if it was offensive).

2. I wanted a total reversal of what he said and made it dignified.

I say good riddance to a member like. He would've caused nothing but trouble if he had stayed.
