Title: Optional dungeon
Post by: naturalbluesky on January 29, 2007, 08:54:18 PM
Ok, who else has tackled that dungeon that is opened when you send the bridge back to its rightful place? Man oh man I'm not sure what number level I got to but it's the one where you fight three of those armored guys; two in the distance and one right below you. Can anyone tell me how far from the last room I am or if it's even worth it to go all the way? There better not be a heart peice down there!

No there is not a heart piece there, however if you want to get all 60 Poe Souls you have to go to the Cave of Ordeals. Other then that you really do not get much (won't mention what you do get and see since there is not a spoiler warning on the topic title) but it is more for a challenge once you have all the items and heart pieces.

I see; I do want all of the Poe's. Dunno though I'm not a huge "gotta complete everything" person like I used to be.

Yeah, but it is worth it for the challenge as it is harder then anything else in the game. And I do not know where you are, need something a little more specific then "armored guys". Do you mean Darknuts, Armos, Armored Lizardmen?

Umm, it's three of the guys that you have to knock their armor off and then they pull out a lighter sword and attack. Each one was a different color. I think one was blue and one was silver.

Ahh the 3 Darknut room...well good news, that is the last room. If you have the Magic Armor and lots of money, you may want to use them.

Haha!

Well that's good to know. I did get one down to no armor and the other two down to just their shields and it got real hard because I couldn't kill the one without the armor without getting pummeled by the other two.

I never did get the magic armor and I don't really want to use any help to get it but who knows.

What are you talking about Shikamaru?

My tip: Take arrows and bombs with you. Because you start out of reach of any enemy in the room most of the time, you can save lots of life just by shooting arrows or bomb arrows or, if you got them coming for you, stand near the edge and let a rain of bombs (one at a time!) destroy them. Remember the room with 4 of those heavily armed lizards near the end? You can take them all out with one bomb arrow each. All you need to be careful about when doing this with Darknuts is when they throw their sword at you.

What are you talking about Professor?

So you don't know how to get the magic armor NBS? Or you just don't want it?

What do you get with all 60 poes? I know what you get with 20, but what's next?

Specify a bit, please.

The same as when you get all the Gold Skulltula Tokens in OoT. Jovani, or more specifically his cat, gives you a gold rupee anytime you want it.

Now I must find all 60! Also, I might think about trying to get the remaining 15 Skulltula from OOT.

Yes but you see that is a stupid reward at that time on the game. You cannot complete the Caves of Ordeal unless you have all items so whats the point of going to a cat to constantly get 200 rupees? Not much. As I said it is mostly to either do everything in the game or for those that want a challenge in a game that has lacked that since the NES days.

I can't wait to get to the Cave of Ordeals on my 3-heart file; it'll be awesome. Though I'm sure I won't be able to make it to the bottom.

Commodore Axilon ... your sloganizer just said "Food or Commodore? I'll have Commodore" and I almost died.

It's theoretically possible, but you have to a)be good at the fighting aspect of the game b) have a lot of pots with, I think fairy's will do and c) bombs and arrows.

I think it's impossible. How much does one Darknut attack hurt you?

Note: I suppose it's possible with the Magic Armor, but that's cheating. :)

Only theoretically possible, but the effort to which to do something like that is very unlikely.
