Title: Miyamoto's Timeline
Post by: Mysterious F. on February 02, 2007, 02:24:02 PM
Nintendo and the group of people who make the Zeldas has admitted they have a timeline, but they are far more concerned with designing games. Early on, this was revealed to be the timeline:

OOT - MM - LOZ - AOL - LTTP

LA wasn't revealed, but it can be presumed that it is after LTTP.

But it should definetly be noted this was before other games came out (Oracles, WW and PH, TP, Four Swords Series), so it has recieved many changes.

Still, perhaps the order between those five (six if LA happens after LTTP) games could still be the same.

This at least proves their is a timeline, and every game is considered when they make new ones.

Yeah I remember him saying there is a timeline and when each game is being made the timeline is put into consideration but it is not a major issue into the development. Apparently only those at the very top know what the actually timeline is  >:(

I don't actually believe there's a master timeline. I mean, you really have to warp and twist the games to make 'em fit in any kind of timeline.

Miyamoto said in an interview in 2003 that there is a master timeline in a document that is yet to be seen by public.. we all love miyamoto so lets jsut trust him to :)

So there what? You never lied? Nintendo never lied? Just imagine this: About half of all Zelda topics is about the timeline (or events that "prove" some timeline), and the other half about "What/Who's your fav....? ". What would that mean if Nintendo admitted they don't have a clue about the timeline and just release games without thinking about the big thing? It would probably hit fans and fanboys in the face at mach 3.

CA is right. The games can be fit to be placed in any order. Because no matter what, not all "facts" can be used, because they contradict eachother. Thus, any timeline can be created by a selection of facts. Pfft, I can place TWW before OOT if I want.

I'm sticking with whatever theory Miyamoto has.. so untill it is released, I'm not gonna stick with any other timeline..
I will however discuss theories.. but not like believe they are the right one

I don't think you understood what I said: There is no (right/official)  timeline. So there's also no need to agree with anyone else's.

There is none that has been released, but Miyamoto said he had one. So I'm not gonna stick with any timeline at all, untill it's released. Thats what I meant.. I know there aint an official timeline.. except for miyamoto's wich is not released ???

Just because someone says something, doesn't make it true.

:-\ Its ok but According t split theory that is hyrule a (based on the facts from OOt where link remain as child

see
                            AoL
                            MC
                            Oot

on hyrule b ( with link as a child ) MM goes, then ur sequence.

on hyrule a (with link as an adult) TP goes, then the lost link in which hyrule gets submerged, then WW and PH.....

If you want to see more info watch out my theory (lost link after TP)
