I have TP for gamecube and Wii.I beat Tp for gamecube and moved on to Wii and I noticed that everything on the Wii version is backwards.I mean EVERYTHING.You know how Link has the triforce symbol on his left hand?It always has been always will. But,on the Wii,it's on his right hand.Is it just me,or did that mess up Zelda history a little and confuse? :-\
No. The game was originally developed for the GameCube, and Link is traditionally left-handed. However, Nintendo decided to release it for both the GameCube and the Wii. On the Wii, the Wiimote would be used as a sword. Most of the population is right-handed, but since a good deal of the game was already developed, they merely flipped the entire game over- what was west was now east, what was east was now west. Link is left-handed in the GameCube version, and right-handed in the Wii version. If you look, you'll notice most of the usually right-handed characters, like Zelda, are left-handed in the Wii version.
Per canon, Twilight Princess Link is left-handed. But having a right-handed Link isn't really messing up history- that Hero just happens to be right-handed.
I read that Shigeru Miyamoto has always been left handed, and thats why Link is left handed.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo really?
Please add a little more depth to your posts MCR freak. You sort of remind me of Medli, and old member that used to go here. :D
Hee, that's awesome. I think I heard Tingle has a lot to do with him, too. xD; I'm sure Miyamoto bases a lot of them off himself, though. I do that with my characters. D:
(On a side note, I'm (mostly) left-handed too. Yaaaay lefties!)
Ok ZeldaVet I willlllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh (How's that? :D) Anyway, I can't wait to get a Wii to play my TP for Wii on it!!! ;D ;D ;D
I heard that Tingle was inspired by the composer, Koji Kondo! O_o

That's probably true. xD; I can't really remember where I heard it from, but it could've been that it was inspired by one of Miyamoto's colleagues or something. x;
You heard it here, probably, Fishalicious. larwaa posted this comparison in General Zelda.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up for me, Eralk Fang! xD; Yeah, I remember coming across that topic once, I think...

I heard somewhere that he was really ambidextrius (sp?), but preffered his left hand.
Ooh, that's said on his WW Statue!
It says "His manual preference is left." And he's ambidextrous in Minish Cap I think, but... that's due to Sprite mirroring. xD
I also read that the name Mario was chosen because a janitor named Mario intterupted the meating about what to call Jumpman in the new game :P

Hey Medli was a nice person! Though she got banned with good reason...
Where did Shadow Ganon go after that, did he get booted as well?
i think so.
anyways, yes Miyamoto makes most of his characters left handed after himself, like Link and Mario. yes, Mario is left handed, although he never really holds stuff much when he does you can tell.
