Title: Virtual Console
Post by: MasterKeyX on February 11, 2007, 04:09:46 PM
I just recently got some Wii points and I was wondering if anyone else here had gotten anything off the Virtual Console yet.

I got Gradius (which is incredibly fun) and the original Zleda (also incredibly fun).

I thought I'd make this for people to talk about games they got and games they plan on getting, so feel free to talk about either.

I did have a thread that list every VC game that was available but I erased it since it was pointless as anyone with a Wii can just go on it and see what is available.

As of right now I have:

Super Mario Bros
Super Mario World
Mario 64
Legend of Zelda
Legend of Zelda: LttP
Dungeon Explorer
SimCity
Sonic the Hedgehog

I am really looking forward to OoT, MM, Star Fox Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Tecmo Bowl, and Punch Out.

What are you talking about, I am hoping for Earthbound. But I doubt it will come and if it does it will not be for a while I fear since it was not a popular game when it came out. I hope Nintendo realizes that Earthbound is more popular now then ever before...due to the lack of quality RPGs out there (hasn't been a GREAT one since FFVI).

I really want them to release AoL. It's my most unfavortie Zelda game, but I never beat it....I'd love to try again.

I had just downloaded TLoZ and I ask will they release gamecube titles?

no because you can play gamecube games on the console itself, so no need

Wow today was a pretty good release day on the VC with Kid Icarus, Kirby, and Ice Climber. Downloaded Kid Icarus, maybe get the other two later.

Think Icarus is hard?
Try playing the space reflex game Gradius. It's super hard! So many bullets,  so little time, but ssooooo addicting!

I highly recommen gettin it. Very fun. I got so far today, but I died....does this game ever end?!

By the way, Gradius is for NES and only 500 points. Great investment, if you ask me.

Yeah I liked Gradius back in the day but I am not sure if I want to download it. For some reason I have a feeling I will get sick of it quick.

Yeah, most likely because it's near impossible to beat. No continues, none at all. HOW?! Was Konami crazy when they made that game? :o

Nah, games were just generally hard back then. Remember alot of those games started off as arcade games and the harder the game the more kids would waste quarters on them to play. Of course, today most games are cakewalks.

Yeah, I can spend maybe a dollar and beat most arcade games now...I remember spending tons for Golden Axe and such.

Oh man, if Chrono Trigger is released for VC, I will be getting a Wii solely for that. I've played it on emulator a few times, but my computer is less accessible than a console. The original Star Fox would be amazing, too.

Well why not just pick up a PSOne or PS2 for cheap and get FF Anthology which has Chrono Trigger and FFIV on it.

I was maybe considereing gettin Kirby's Adventure, but I've never played it before, so I wanted public opinions. Should I get it? :-\
