Title: School Bus Woes
Post by: darkphantomime on February 20, 2007, 07:09:56 AM
ARrrgh, after two school days of being absent sick, my bus decides to skip my house altogether. I was waiting over an hour for the bus to come, but it never did...  :( :( :( :( :( :(

I hate riding the bus though, the ride is usually at LEAST an hour long, and the bumping and the frustration because the driver likes to take the 'scenic' route, even though it would be faster for everyone to take a different route...

hmm what's there to see on the scenic route anyways?

Absolutely nothing. SHe just goes different ways even though the way she usually picks has a LOT of turns.

Oh yeah, I also live in a rural area, I live like 30 minutes away from school if you drive directly to or from.

Ouch. I've always wondered what it would be like to have to get up so early...hey, at least you get to pick the seat you want right?

Not really... In the morning, I'm actually like the eighth or ninth stop. or maybe sixth? Anyway, I usually wake up at 6:20 AM, and the bus USUALLY comes at  7. Lately, however, the bus is coming more around 7:20. Which means more waiting for me.  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Oh and like three or four weeks ago, my regular bus driver had a heart attack (or at least that's how it seemed...) I probably won't see her again, since I'm graduating in June  :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

The downside to this is that in the afternoon, there sometimes isn't a sub driver, so we have to get on ANOTHER bus that follows a similar route. The school day ends at 3:30. And if I get on that second bus, I don't get home until 5! That's how sucky my bus experience is.

VCU, the college I go to, is split into two campuses, the MCV Campus and the Monroe Park Campus.  I dorm on the MCV Campus, but all my classes are on the Monroe Park Campus.  So VCU and GRTC (Greater Richmond Transit Company) provides two bus routes for traveling between the campuses.  The Campus Connector, the bus I usually take, is supposed to come by every fifteen minutes, but it has a tendency to be late sometimes.  Although, it's like a thirty or forty minute walk to the Monroe Park Campus (depends on where you're going to), so sometimes I'll just walk, but I haven't in a while because it's been a tad bit cold lately.

My bus ride is really long also. It's about 20 minutes to half an hour, I live in the suburbs, but my school is in a different town. So I have to get up at about 5:50 in the morning. But I kind of like the long ride, so I can listen to my iPod or play my Gameboy or DS for a long time.

I get a train to school!

Well, I get a bus from a stop about 5 minutes walk from my house, which goes to the train station, then I get a train to the town my school is in. Then its like a 3-5 minute walk to school. I like it though, it's fun. It only takes about 45 minutes altogether.
All the transport is public though and old people take up the room with their shopping, and the school near us gets the same trains. And they all bring their bikes on the train for some stupid reason.

Lucky for me I ride a van to my house. In the morning, I have a bus. Recently, my bus driver had a heart attack or something and we've had several replacements, and I moved to the school district in 6th grade, (we didn't move, my house is on the border between those two districts) just three quarters of the school year before I joined TDC. My name wasn't added to the bus list since then, so yeah, I've been forgotten alot. About 10 times.

Oh yeah, my van takes 10 minutes, although we have to wait for the only two kids in high school who ride to get out becasue the high school, for some crappy reason, lets out ten minutes after the middle school, despite being right next to it. My bus tkaes 40 minutes, so I usually sleep.

That annoys the hell out of me. One time, this dude stole this chick's money, and I told him to give it back. A week later, those two are dating. The decisions some girls make are so stupid. And yeah, I find that those kinds of girls are skanks who like being treated like crap. If you're respectful, you'll definately get the right woman for you.

Sorry Akatsuki, but I had to say something. And That really sucks JQP. My bus comes at 8:00 right at the end of my street. I have a private seat, and our bus has surround sound radio, and an air condition. It takes 10 minutes all together to get to school. I have a pleasurable experience.

I'm so jealous. The only way that would be better is if you had a bell to ring so that people come and make you life better. I think that would be a very wonderful experience and is enjoyable. Wait, I also think that some gold would be just as good. Can you think of something better? I will reward whoever can tell me something that is enjoyed more. So do you know when the people before you get on? Can it be said you don't know? That is disappointing, but who cares? Do you need instructions to read this? In that case, a dictionary can help you.

P.S. Ring, Ring, Ring that bell!

Well, I somewhat agree with you ZV, but in a different way. You're saying love romatically, but I believe love shouldn't be held only by romance. But this isn't the place to discuss that.
