Anyone a fan? I completed the series, and I have one of the additional books, Lemony Snicket: The Unauthorized Autobiography.
I thought the movie was pretty good.
The movie missed several key parts from the books (the Baudelaires being allergic to peppermints, the movie 'Zombies in the Snow', etc.) that could have a plot twist.
Also, there are two very terrible restaurants in the series, the first 'The Anxious Clown' and the other 'Caf'e Salmonella'. Never eat at these places unless you enjoy the pain of the worst foods you ever imagined for both, having a waiter constantly say "I didn't realize this was a sad occasion." for the first one, and secretly doing evil things in the second without knowing it at all.
It's called IRONY
Yeah, I'm not sure I'd ever eat at a place that had "Salmonella" anywhere in the title.
Good books, but I didnt like the part of the movie I've seen. It didnt have the good stuff! The books were depressing, but I just had to read them anyway. :)
A Series of Unfortunate Events
am back!!
Ok... ;)
Hahahaha yeah this was a good series. Lol, on our tape, when we were listening to a part when they were in the mountains, Klaus would yell something then the tape made it echoe LOL!!! Stupid tape... ::) But it had a good effect. XD
One of my favorite things in the series (including extra books) is the ring with the letter R on it. It is very important in the extra books, and the last book in the main part of the series finally shows it.
I think the titles are funny, they're always some hideous alliteration. ;)
I got through the first five a few years back, but they're a little too absurd to get my interest. Releasing the final one on Friday the thirteenth was a cool marketing move, though.
It was not only a cool marketing move, but a genius one. I mean, thats just a brilliant idea.

You mean like releasing the (failed) movie Star Trek: Nemesis on friday the 13th was genius?
Yes, I'm one of the few that actually went to the theatres to see that movie... on christmas EVE! like 4 years ago...
Those are moment of your life you'll never get back. Im so sorry...
