Who would win?
Naruto, he has a move that no one can survive. (although Kakuzu survived it because he has more than one heart, but his only surviving one was too damaged for him to move)
I say Obi-Wan purely becuase i have never watched or read Naruto.
You know what we should do? We should have this added to the Cold Dead battlefield suggestion. But we've already done Naruto, sooooo...
Mace Windu V. Hakashi.
A) It's Kakashi
B) Kakashi, he can jsut move Madu to another dimension and get it over with.
It really depends on which Jedi or Ninja is fighting...they are all insanely powerful...
Especially the following:
Itachi, Sasori, Orochimaru, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Kakuzu, Hidan, Deidara, Kisame, Gaara, Third Kazekage, First Hokage, Second Hokage, Third Hokage, Fourth Hokage, unnamed Akatsuki member, and the Akatsuki Leader. (Note, this only includes S-Rank ninja and Gaara because of his Shukaku abilities. Sasuke and Tobi have yet to be decided an A-Rank or S-Rank. Naruto, Kakashi, Yamato and Guy are only A-Rank. Other characters are left out.)
I refuse to say Guy for some reason. I say Gai, because that is how its spelled in the Japanese version.
yes, I don't know how it became Guy...
It's because "Gai" is sid like the word "Guy" so it became "Guy"
Naruto would win hands down!
He is too awesome for your jedi.

No one cares about your nameless Ninja. Begone with you and bring characters ussen cares about.
I still think the Jedi would win, but I'm impossibly outnumbered in my opinion, aren't I? :P
I just made a cold deaed battlefield poll with Kakashi on ine side and Mace windu on the other. Let's go with this MON!
To the topic! AWAAAAAYYYY!
I think obi-wan would win, cause I don't really know anything about naruto, and I know Obi-wan almost always wins, minus his last battle against Darth vader that is. :D I think I say for myself that... JEDIA ROCK! :D
QuoteI refuse to say Guy for some reason. I say Gai, because that is how its spelled in the Japanese version.
Wrong, that's not how it is spelled. The Second Official Naruto Official Data Book spells it G-U-Y, not G-A-I. It originally was Maito Gai, but it was changed to Might Guy. Guy is the official name, Gai isn't.

Ironic, considering how you were going all zelda japanese name purism in a topic about Vaati's 'real' name.
Anyway, the former would be the japanese original, while the latter would be the english transliteration.
They are both the Japanese names, but they changed it to Guy. Guy is the official name.

Yeah, about that. Didn't Old Ben Kenobi sacrifice himself so Luke and the others could get away? Because if so, I'd say he won that battle.
Also, I don't really see Obi Wan fighting Naruto unless it was for training, and no one should die in a fight that is meant for training. At least in theory. So how about we assume they use moves that won't get the other killed?
Mind telling me how they would make kanji or furigana that could read "MIGHT GUY"?
Let's just agree to disagree and spell it how we want...I think Kakashi would win against Mace, even though Mace is the best Jedi in my opinion... He has Sharingan and Chidori...

Why not? It's not like Obi Wan hasn't killed anybody before.
Obi-Wan has killed more people or creatures than Jack the Ripper.
SO has kakashi...

I hate to get all nerdy and technical on you, but Kakashi knows Raikiri, which is the upgraded form of Chidori. Sasuke knows Chidori.
he would only need Chidori to win though ;)and I'm not as far as you, give me a break.

I haven't watched Episode II or III yet, so excuse me if I seem to lack knowledge of the Star Wars universe, but are you saying Obi Wan kills for no reason? Because from what I've seen of him, he doesn't seem likely to kill people for kicks.

No, but if someone's trying to kill him he's gonna do what he has to, and if that means killing them, so be it. And in this scenario I assumed Naruto would be trying to kill him.
And no where in my post did I say he kills for kicks. What's up with that, HNS?

Thank you for stating the obvious. Now I don't have to.
To CA, I really don't see either Naruto or Obi Wan killing each other for no reason. I may be wrong, seeing how little I know about Naruto. Also, it seemed to me like you were saying Obi Wan would kill for no reason, but I wasn't sure. That's why I asked you if that was what you were saying.
Dude, you haven't seen either episodes two or three? Where ya been the past 5 years?
I'm sorry I'm different from everyone else, and that makes me spend my time differently. ::)
MY GOD MAN, you've not seen the last of the star wars saga?? Are you not the least bit curious of the resolution???
I shall never understand your lack of fascination with Star Wars. You are an insult to the term 'dork'.
Again, sorry I never got around to watching Episodes II and III. I'm sorry I don't have money streaming out of my *** so I can just go to the closest video rental place so I can watch every movie ever made. Now get off of my back because I'm not like the rest of America and keep up with every little damn thing. >:(
So.....about them Ninjas.... ;)
Lets just drop this one,ok guys? Wee dont want any fighting.
Obi-Wan would pwn Naruto, just so he could brag about it... to Chuck Norris.
okay, everybody who is supporting Obi-wan isn't giving any reasons. For naruto we are saying how he could win, all the jedi supporters are just saying he would pawn or own or such. Not getting angry, just saying I want reasons besides obi-wan owns.
Obie-Wan is a higjly skilled Jedi Master, he could slice up Naruto using his Light Saber, then destory him using the power he has over the force. Naruto would stand no chance against a Master Jedi and the Force.
Yeah, unless Naruto has cortosis/phrik armor (which he doesn't, by the way), a lightsaber's gonna slice him up good.
Naruto has the chakra of the Nine Tailed Fox (an incredibly powerful giant fox demon) that has near limitless chakra. He can use it as both a shield and a weapon. And Naruto is now an A-Rank ninja by power, and has defeated and hold his ground against several S-Rank and A-Rank ninjas in the past, such as Kakuzu, Orochimaru, Kabuto, Gaara, and Sasuke. In fact, he was the first peron to ever fully defeat Gaara. (Sasuke once almost beet him, but the fight was interupted, and in a rematch a little bit later Sasuke was hopeless. Kimmamaro once almost won too, but he died of a disease. The only other person fully defeating him was Deidara)
Also, HNS, all of Naruto's moves are killing moves, except Shadow Clone and Summoning Technique: Gamabunta. Shadow Clone is supplementary, but can be used in killing moves. Gamabunta can kill all but extremely powerful opponents.
Also, when using Nine-Tail's chakra, he is much faster than Obi has been seen being, and can even move too quick for the Sharingan Eyes (a type of move giving you eyes that catch every detail) to see unless at the highest level. He can also reach a state where the chakra surrounds him and creates a number of tails. Four is his shown limit, and in that stage he is powerful enough to kill Orochimaru. (although the transformation was reversed)
Also, there are other characters that could beet him even easier. Obi seems to always look in the opponent's eyes, and if it were Itachi, Sasuke, and mabye Kakashi, he'd be done for just by looking in there eyes, especially Itachi.
Well Naruto could use his agility to just dodge.
And anyway his chakra type can cut through anything, and as my knowledge of satar wars goes so can a lightsaber.
If Naruto put his chakra in a knife (which he could do) it would probably be strong enough to block a lightsaber.
And covering his whole body as armor.
What we're basiccally saying here is that Naruto is so overpowered, that he could and would kill anyone on his path. Is naruto really so blood-thirsty and power-hungry that he would obliterate any and all oppenents without thought to a fair fight?
The sole reason Naruto has all that power is because of the Nine-tailed fox. If he didn't have that spirit with him, chances are he wouldn't be anywhere near as insanely overpowered.
Naruto MUST have some sense of honor, honor enough to go through a duel with respect and will. This is not to let the other oppenent win - it is to encourage fair competition, a thing that seems rather lacking in Naruto from what I've heard of all these 'powers'. Jesus, man, if Naruto was so powerful, why is he not GOD?
Let's have a duel with swords, without all those powers that would destroy the challenge of the fight. A fight of that sort is completely without honor, a thing which the Japanese treasure above all else.
I don't care how fast Naruto is, the Force can stop anything. And, have you SEEN Yoda move about when fighting? And he's old! If a 500 year old Jedi can dso that, I'm sure Obi-Wan could do better. Besides, Obi-Wan has the spirit of Qui-Gon too.
And just look at who's winning in the poll. Obi-wan's 7 to Naruto's 2.
Cause everyone knows that Naruto is just a fad, Obi-Wan is immortal.
Naruto will win, simple as that. Itachi could beet anyone, he's the strongest currently living character in the series. The only characters who are at the same level or possibly stronger than him are Sasori, Kakuzu, the unidentified Akatsuki memer, and the Akatsuki Leader.
Naruto isn't that overpowered when compared to other ninja in the series. and it wouldn't be a 'fair fight' if Obi-Wan could use the force but Naruto couldn't use the Nine-tails because the force also assists Obi-Wan. And without the force Naruto could take him down.
Ummm, I guess they're even. If only it were Itachi instead fighting Obi. Obi would lose straight off.
No, I think Naruto has the edge. If he uses Kage Bunshin and then has them all throw Shuriken at him at the same time...
You all know that Jedi have precognition, right? Just pointing that out, seeing as how it'll make it a lot harder for Naruto.
so? he can't dodge a thousand shuriken at once, not without the force. which if he uses allows Naruto to use the nine-tails.
Thats a stupid, unfair rule, you know that.
how is it fair to let Obi-Wan be aided but not Naruto?
Cause, if you say Naruto is so powerful, why woul;d he need aiding? Besides, Obi-Wan's force is half of his moves, you'd be eliminating half his arsenal.
I agree with Shikamaru. If we let Obi-Wan get to use his full potential, then how is that fair to let Naruto use only a fraction of his power?
Well, I guess this is true.
wow :-XI made a point...
You mean Shuriken From All Directions?
yes. Picture the fight with Gaara when he used the Uzumaki Chronicles...
Also, what about Itachi vs. Darth Vader? I say Itachi, Vader has no chance. Itachi is the most powerful living identified character in the series.

1. DIdn't you just say Naruto is the most powerful character in the series?
2. No matter how fast a ninja is, they're still susciptable to being choked to death.
And the reason why it would be fair if Obi-wan used the force while Naruto didn't have all that power from the NIne-tailed fox is because the match would be way WAY WAY too lopsided. It wouldn't be a fair or honorable match if Naruto simply attacked him in such a manner, while Obi-wan isn't able to do anything.
On the one hand, if Naruto is allowed to have ALL of his moves, Obi-wan would lose almost instantly, a very lopsided match. On the other hand, if Obi-wan had his power and Naruto had just his agility WITHOUT the ninetailed fox, it would be much more balanced because Obi-wan can't kill Naruto instantly if he has the powers of the force; conversely, if Naruto had all his power, the battle would end in half a second, making it a very dishonorable match indeed.
okay, look. It would be a fair match. That's like saying it would be dishonorable to have us fight France in a war unless we used rocks instead of guns. If Naruto is stronger, so be it. That is what this whole thing is about.
Well, JQ is going on the assumption that both Naruto and Obi-Wan are going to show honor on the battlefield. And I may be wrong again, so please correct me if I am, but does anyone in Naruto show honor on the battlefield? My honor on the battlefield is the last thing I'm going to worry about if I know the enemy isn't going to show any. If I were to attack all my enemies from the front in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance because it's the honorable thing to do, then I doubt I would be very far in it or even playing it at all, because in FFTA, the enemies (or rivals, in some cases) aren't going to strike you from the front. They're going to get you from behind.
Showing honor in battle doesn't mean limiting your abilities. It means not fighting dirty. It's not dishonorable to put what you got up against what the enemy's got, no matter how much stronger or weaker you are.
True. I'm guessing JQ thinks one hit kills (or KOs in certain games) is fighting dirty. But I think that if you can KO something in one hit, that just shows how good you are.
Okay, take it this way. If you are camping and a bear attacks, and you have a rifle in your hand, are you going to throw the rifle aside and wrestle the bear because the gun gives you an unfair advantage?
I'm going to pretend that you're talking to JQ now, because I think I made it clear both Naruto and Obi Wan should use their power to their full extent if they so desire.
I still don't think they would try to kill each other, though. Not unless some villian tricked them into killing each other.
i wasn't talking to you, no, I was talking to anyone who still thinks naruto should be nerfed. and if their partner's lives were at stake in their fight they would kill, yes.
No, I doubt they would intentionally kill each other. Think of it as a friendly practice fight.
How could Obi-Wan have a practice fight with his lightsaber...?
Thank you, Gamefreak.
And Shikamaru, he wouldn't have to use his ligtsaber. I'm sure he could get his hands on a pratice sword.
You know, they do have practice light sabers ins some of the Star Wars films that dont actually harm you, he'd use one of those.
For one Jedi's can use the force to choke a person or use the force to make the person go boom you get the idea. A ninja's abilityes are very, very low to a Jedi. Darth Vader can kill everything that stands in his way. A Jedi's lightsaber... well a Jedi does not need his lightsaber for this thinking about it. :)
Yeah, but, I'd count using the force to choke people as 'fighting dirty'. And in certain games, there are OHKO's and it makes things very lopsided. THE OTHER GUY DIDN'T EVEN GET A CHANCE TO MOVE!
you ever heard of Twinking a character? It means giving them an unfair advantage by giving them equipment normally unavailable at that point. So it wouldn't show how 'good' you are, it would show how CHEAP you are.
Example: Mewtwo
Now mewtwo is extremely powerful, and he was banned from pokemon tournaments. Using an overpowered thing shows how cheap you are. There's no strategy, just press the button and BOOM, he's dead.
Well, gee, JQ, that's why you train. So you can stand a chance against an overpowered thing. For me, Lance is overpowered. If I want to stand a chance against him, that means getting my Pokemon up to at least level 60. And if I have to OHKO another trainer's Pokemon to do it, then so be it. Because obviously, those trainers aren't making any efforts to train their Pokemon. Why should their stupidity hinder me?
Yeah, I don't get it either. If you're gonna pit two people against each other, and then say one can't fight like he normally does, doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of having them fight to begin with? It's to see who'll win, not see how much you can interfere to make it a stalemate.
Exactly, good points, all of you. Now, I believe the JEDI are winning.
Naruto has some crazy stuff, PLEASE someone give a detailed reason why the Jedi should win, we've had pages about Naruto's moves and such while Jedi supporters have only said "Mace owns" and stuff like that.
For one, what Naruto is it older or not..?
I shall call upon my Star Wars knowledge and think up a good reason why Naruto would lose. :D
You see, Jedi reflexes are extremely quick. They can dodge bullets, and they can whip out their light sabers and terminate a foe in nano-seconds.
If we're using the force in this battle, a very powerful Jedi such as Obi-Wan Kenobi can lift anything or move anything. Im sure that he can stop the insanely powerful attacks Naruto, simply by blocking him with anything in play.
Also, you forget that the force can repelo moves to. So if naruot were to use the nine-tails thing or whatever, Obi-Wan would be able to repel it with the power of the force and he would be able to do it with enough speed (due to his reflexes) to maybe even harm Naruto.

one, Naruto is crazy fast especially when he is full power
two, if he made clones and attacked from all directions, say with the Uzumaki Chronicles, Obi-Wan would be hard pressed to use the force on all of them
three, well it's kinda the same as two and one combined...
I'm glad my topic has sparked such in-depth moral questioning on what constitutes 'fighting dirty'.
well, you know, it is a sensitive issue. :)
