I hope it's not! I''ve read that it will be! What do you think?
Now why would Nintendo drop one of its most profitable franchises?
Don't worry, a new console Zelda has been in the works for about a year now.
Really?! you mean a game like tp? XD
The next Zelda for the Wii, yes. I've heard it's going to be quite a departure from the regular Zelda format...
WOW! ;D
do you have any idea when its going to be coming out?
Probably not this year, but if this year, probably last quarter.
WOW! It will most probably come out, not this christmas, but next. how long did it take for tp to come out?
Quite a long time. Wasn't Nintendo working on it as soon as they were finished with TWW?
I think so, what year did TWW come out?
March 2003. At least in North America. It come out December 2002 for Japan and May 2003 for Europe and Australia.
nnoooo! I can't wait about 3 years untill the next ultamate zelda game! :'( :-* :'(
It may be easier this time since it is only for one system.
Yeah, your right, The only reason why tp was 3 years was because it took one year to put it on the wii.
Nintendo would be run by completely drunken idiots when they decide to ban Zelda.
Luckily, that will NEVER happen. The most likely chance of it's end is the death of an important designer person for the games.
Don't die on us, Miyamoto... :'(
How old is he?
he's 60 I think...
QuoteYeah, your right, The only reason why tp was 3 years was because it took one year to put it on the wii.
No. It's because it takes TIME to make a major Zelda game. And it wasn't only delayed so that they could put it on the Wii. At E3 2006 it was only 80% finished. And that's for both versions.
It was delayed because Miyamoto 'turned the tables'.
...'turned the tables'?
Yeah, explain more, Evilslayer.
Have you watched the Appendices to the Special Editions of the LotR-movies? It's kind of like what Peter Jackson does. Miyamoto suddenly comes in one day with all these neat ideas and then the game is almost redone. Or at least becomes very different.
OoT is an extreme example of Miyamoto turning the tables. :-*
I don't think PH will be last, at least I hope not. But if Miyamoto were to make a last game, it would probably be more detailed like TP.
No,this wont be the last.But Miyamoto-Kun
wont do such a thing.Hes gonna be 55 this year on November
16.Or November 15 in U.S
QuoteBut Miyamoto-Kun
WRONG!! It's Miyamoto-san or Miyamoto-sama. -Kun means Mr.; Ms. (used in addressing younger people or colleagues in placen of
-san or
-sama). While -san and -sama mean Mr.; Mrs.; Ms. and Mr.; Mrs.; Ms. (formal).
I heard they were coming out with a TP like game... ::)
Umm, I think somebody from Japan would know Japanese better than you Gaara. Besides, Sakura calls Sasuke and Naruto kun.
They are making another Wii Zelda, yes, but it isn't supposed to be anything like any other Zelda before it.
-Kun is used primarily with people your own age, usually shown as a sign of friendship. -San means Mr./Mrs., -Sama means Master, -Senpai means mentor.
And so that this is on topic: I hope the Wii Zelda is better than TP. D: 'Cause that game was awesome, just a disappointment in the way that I was expecting much more.
Back on topic, I think this will definitely not be the last Zelda game. Has any one seen on that website called Wii tv that April fool's joke about the next Zelda game being set in the future? I know that was just a joke, but if Miyamoto is going to to the tables on us, I hope its not as drastic as that! I don't want another Jak series! :o

Are you telling me my Japanese to English dictionary is wrong?! I don't think so!!
Mistranslations are possible, not to mention that there is more than one kind of Japanese. He grew up speaking Japanese. I really think he would know better, yes.
If this is the last Zelda game I'm going too give Miyamoto a talking too.

My Japanese to English dictionary was written by a Japanese person so yeah, I don't think there would be any wrong translations.
Except that Japanese sentence structure isn't the same as English, and as I said before, there is more than one dialect of Japanese. Not to mention HE IS FROM JAPAN. This is off topic, drop it.
As for giving Miyamoto a talking-to, good luck. ;)He's got to be one of the hardest to reach guys in the world.
I asked my friend who lives in Kyoto if he knows him and im waiting a response. :)
Zelda Wii is supposed to be in the planning stages, where they throw ideas around, like Link in WWII. ???
World War II? That's... interesting. Although, I've always wondered what a Zelda would be like if it took place in modern day... Maybe Link would use a gun instead of a sword? I have no idea.
There was an April Fool's video where they acted like they were making a futuristic Zelda. They had drawings and everything. It's somewhere in General Zelda, I believe..
The only way it would end is if the guy who made it wen't kaboom or something, but no, it probably won't end for a long time to come.
I don't think it could be the last. There would have to be a really grand game that explains a lot of things before they stop.... If they ever stop. And on a different level, why would Nintendo want to stop one of their top-selling game series?
Legend of Zelda has been here for 21 years and it will probably be around in another 21 years.
I don't think the franchise would be canceled even if Miyamoto or Aunuma died, after all, they are all surrounded by people that share their ideas and goals, so I don't think that would happen.
Now if there was to be a last Zelda game, it would have to be 300hrs long, 100% replay value, online capabilities, 12+ dungeons, the greatest story ever told and a midget that brings you drinks and snacks every time you ask for it.
