She's been gone for three weeks now... I've even sent her emails but no response. I'm worried about her.
I'm probably the only one who feels this way though...
has she been gone that long? I swore I saw her on a thread not to long ago...I'm worried now too...
I'm sorry, I don't know her. I'm sure she's fine though.
Have you noticed bgrugby's absence?
rugby quit is why...
Oh I've noticed that and just saw him online a few minutes ago.
Where'd you see her post, shikamaru?
Honestly, I haven't noticed that she hasn't been on few a few weeks now. Hopefully she's only having computer troubles. And bgrugby is actually logging on; he's just not posting.

Well, I knew that. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed.
:-X :-X :-[ :-[ :-[
What do you mean he quit?
We mean quit as in he's tired of this place and some members and wanted to leave them behind.
Try contacting her email. YOu may get a response, but so far, I haven't.
Her email is in her profile.
She mostly posts in the theories and games...I can't remember exactly which it was in though...and yeah rugby quit because he said he was too old for the site, he was sick of all the low quality posting that kept constantly occuring, and I'm sure having sariareturns insult him didn't help...
Sigh...never thought I would have to post again but the reason I do not post anymore is the immaturity of the forums, not just from members but also from moderators. It really saddens me but if you see me on here that only means that one of the few people who actually like me and I respect sent me a message and I am either reading it or posting it. The reason for this post...I guess pure curiosity.
Oh, sorry about messing that up...although the low quality posting was probably due to the immature members...

No you are right and I can think of two prime examples (duh) and even a few others that include moderators.
well...I dunno, maybe they will improve over time, enough for you to come back...
Hehe I doubt it considering...hmmm not going to go into rant cause I am supposed to be retired...if you want to talk PM me.
Roger. So I guess this isn't a case where you can apply that wine analogy...
Well she has been gone awhilke, maybe she's just taking a break. Or maybe she just lost interest.
You've had no contact with her whatsoever now for 3 weeks?
Mabye something happened to her. I hope not. That would be terrible.
Also, bgrugby, that was really selfish leaving because you think the members are too childish. You're older than every other member, and you've been in colledge. (I think) Most members are either in late Jr. High and High school. Not every member is as old as you or acts the way you do, and, although I know you've gotten too old to constantly come here, you've seriously insulted several members.
Don't give him a warning for stating his reasons. That too, would be childish.
I tried looking up her name, Ladynintendo on Google. I came up with several zelda sites, but one of the more prominent ones, Zelda power, is pretty much down.
His statement wasn't directed at anyone. It is this very thing that has droven him away. We need to be a bit more mature in matters... because quilte a bit of the time, when I make a topic, it will devolve into spam REALLY fast. Example: That Mirror shield topic from yesterday and the 'sucky grammar' thread.

Sigh, well part of the problem is there is no age restriction on here like with most forums out there (13 and older). Now, as I have said most members on here are not childish and are very intelligent. It is only a select few that ruin things and if I have insulted them, sorry the truth hurts sometimes and is something they will have to realize when they get out into the real world.
I wouldn't be worried, she might be really busy, or computer problems, or maybe her family isn't letting her go on for some reason. It could be anything, but we shouldn't get so excited over just three weeks,
Well Bgrugby, you know you can put all immaturity aside and insults...in *cough* Hyrule Adventures!.......
*cough*
We're always up for some veterans to come back from what Blank tells me.
To be honest with you, the last PM I got from her was on Feb. 10th... And it doesn't look like she's been on any other zelda forums, at least not by the name Lady nintendo. I've already looked; she's joined a few zelda forums using that name...
And you have no e-mail adress, and I'm assuming no phone number of hers?
I hope she's okay. Let's hope for the best.
Also, I never would have given him a warning, we're allowed to say an opinion as long as we know it won't insult large amounts of members. (Ex: Sabata insulting Christian members) Plus, he won't be very active anymore, so giving him a warning would be 110% pointless.
So what, she hasn't been on for 3 weeks.
Maybe she's on holiday, maybe her computer broke, maybe she's busy or maybe she just doesn't want to come anymore!
It's perfectly feasible that she just doesn't want to post here.
Of course I hope she comes back.
But just because someone hasn't been on for a few weeks doesn't mean you have to presume something terrible has happened.
Ummm, what does 'let's hope for the best' mean to you?
Maybe she wasn't responding to you? *rolls eyes*
I'll have to agree with Commodore, if it was one of those PMs that doesn't need a reply, or would be hard to reply to, that might explain alot.
Do you have any idea how long our correspondence has gone? Since late october-mid november...
And yes, I emailed her TWICE. but still no response. FYI: I send her quite a bit, asking her opinion, and talking about other things... I probably have like 70 pms from her. How many of you can claim to have that much of a correspondence with her?
Well let's just wait and see how things turn out...there really isn't much else you can do if you have emailed and such.
In fact, there is absolutely nothing you can do unless you find out more about her somehow. Other than that, you'll just need to wait. Don't fret!
Hmmm... If you must leave, then so be it. There has been quite a bit of immaturity in the forums, and sadly, we cannot do much about those individuals. I'm sorry to hear that you think we're all childish, and hearing so say that the certain moderators are immature automatically makes me wonder if you're talking about me. You see, I may not spell some things right, and I might have a different sense of humor, but GameFreak, and Akatsuki both seem more mature than I am.
And to Phantompig, HA2 is getting bombed with spam too. It really sickens me. HA2 want meant for that kind of posting. So no, you really arent safe anywhere you go. It hurts my eyes too Bgrugby, understand that. But there is nothing we can do without Jack slamming the gavel on it. Its his site, and us moderators are pretty powerless when it comes to laying down the law. Jack's rules are pretty vague, and all of these younger members do their best, I'm sure. If you could find it in your heart to reconsider, I (as well as many other members I'm sure) would greatly appreciate it. If you decide otherwise, well, we're all going to miss you. 8)
I think he was talking about Akatsuki, no offense.
Eh, we all show our immature side. Some of us just need to learn when it's best to start acting mature.
That's right, even the best of us have our moments. Like when my Dad (Who's the chief assistant to our Mayor) watches football, I would think he's a kid.

Do people even read what I post, where did I say that everyone here is childish? I said a select few are childish and immature and even pointed out that one of the big problems to that is no age restriction, you should at least be 13 to post here like with most forums. And I did not say all mods are bad only a few who seem to want me gone and are ones who try to sway other members into believing what they do when the job of a moderator is to moderate. You really lose all privaleges in stating your opinion as a moderater because you are supposed to be neutral in all discussions. Some of the mods do not do this. As I said the majority of people here (about 95%) are very intelligent and I enjoy having conversations with, however those select few are drowning out the intellegence and really dumbing down the site. And considering I deal with plenty of immature children at my job, I do not want to deal with it here in my free time. I am hoping changes will be eventually made but until then consider me on sabatical (with the exception of posting PMs to certain members and trying to clarify on here).
Sorry for getting off topic (again), but I don't remember anyone saying the mods had to be neutral in every discussion. They're here to enforce the rules. They should be neutral in that regard. However, they should be allowed to discuss their views about, say, President Bush like every other member here can.

Well then you are basically giving members with more power over others. I am sorry but that is not how it is. A mod is someone who has more power then regular members but they are to stay neutral in all discussions. They forfeit their opinions for the power they are given, their job is to make sure everything is run smoothly. Sure they can maybe state what they think but that is it. But when I see mods make a thread stating "this is blah blah because of blah blah" then no they have overstepped their boundries. No being a mod may be different here where you get power and can be like a regular member but that is not the case in most forums.
Just watch any political debate, the moderator has no opinion in the matter they just direct the individuals involved and make sure everyone stays on task, that is the job of an online moderator as well.
I can understand both points. I doesn't really bother me if a mod states their opinions in a matter but, it does bother me when they do post topics concerning their opinions.
If thats what it takes :P
(throws personality in the trash)
I'll be better having learned my mistakes.
Somehow I feel bgrugby thinks he's the boos of us... :-*
You're not Jack. Only Jack has the power to tell us that we cannot make topics concerning our opinions.
This is also a free site that highly appreciates the Freedom of Speech laws in America and England, among other nations. You're view on what a mod can and cannot do may be different than other member's, but we're
ALL allowed to state our own opinions. Even Jack can make one if he wants to.
The role of the mods is only to make sure that the rules are enforced because of Jack's absences. We cannot ban members, we can only keep the site peaceful. ONLY if a topic gets out of control (like Dan the Man's religious debate topic from 2006) do we step in as mods, otherwise we're average members. The only difference between members and mods is that we're allowed to give warnings and do tricks with posts and topics.
QuoteWell then you are basically giving members with more power over others.
You left that sentence incomplete. What were you going to say?
Also, I won't watch political debates. Although I'm a history buff, politics bore the h*** out of me. I have no interest in them and once fell aslepp trying to watch one.
gosh, now i feel all "immature"
sorry for your bad expierences??
but its not really our fault...
To akatsuki: Then what was the point of your global warming thread? You basically made a topic that got out of hand almost instantly. Not to mention I feel that you gave me a warning because you were looking for an excuse, because I disagreed with you.
That is why mods cannot make topics of debate. If the mod gets offended because of what someone else states regarding their opinions, then the mod probably will prosecute that member. A clear sign of power corruption.
And let us not forget the fact that Bgrugby was a mod when this site began. SO he knows your duties, he is aware of your position. Respect his advice.
Maybe I joined at the wrong time... ;)
No he wasn't. He was never a mod. If he told you that, he lied. I don't know where you got that.
QuoteI feel that you gave me a warning because you were looking for an excuse, because I disagreed with you.
You cussed, (yes, p*** is a cuss word) and cussing seems to be the number one cause of warnings for veteran members. Cussing is against the rules, in case you haven't read the How About some Rules topic in the Announcements section. Only hell and damn have any exceptions.

Are you reffering to bgrugby? I almost 100% positive that he was at the VERY beginning of this site, at least that's waht I've heard from a lot of members; including him.

Except most don't consider it a swear; how then are we to know which words are swear words?
okay, this is really getting scary..we need to calm down and settle this...bgrugby DID use to be a mod...JQP it's only one warning, let it go it will be gone in less than a month. I think we should all just take some time to cool off before we continue this, IF we continue it...this is twice a fight has started on this thread...
We do need to calm down. Ok:
1: Bgrugby was a mod at one point. When Jack went on extended leave, I believe he gave power to Master Goron and Bgrugby.
2: I think it's ok for a moderator to have an opinion but to handle it in a dignified manner.
We're getting out of hand with this. If the arguing keeps up much longer, I'm locking this.
Lock it, the topic is already out of control and will only get worse.
Let's get back to the LadyNintendo matter.
Also, I forgot about that week. I read it while deciding to look at old posts. Jack was on vacation.
Still, that was a week. We have it everyday, though.
I'm done saying anything about that now.
I've locked it. Everything was getting to out of hand.
I'll make a new one then.
