Title: Isn't it about time Jack fixed the Site clock?
Post by: darkphantomime on March 16, 2007, 09:29:13 PM
I'm pretty sure we've already gone over the daylight savings time change. The clock should be set ahead one hour.

The only porblem I'm having is that it's on Eastern time when I'm on Central. I know there's a way of changing it by going to the profile thing, but I don't know which one. But yeah.

On the very top of all posts, just above the message the poster put, it shows what time that the post was posted.

And not every single country follows Daylight Savings Time, I think only the U.S. does. The clock might be normal to the English members.

Ummm... NOT.

The clock is set to Eastern Standard Time, so it might get a bit confusing... especially when trying to set up your own clock...

Good thing I'm in Eastern Time, then!  :D

I'm not really sure how this can be fixed, mabye we should just learn how many timezones are in between Boston and _________________ and use that knowledge
                                                    (put location here)
to find out the time.

I just use my watch to tell me what time it is.  However, TDC being an hour behind was somewhat annoying me, so I went to my profile and fixed it.  Apparently, there's an area where you can put + or - followed by a number to make the TDC clock match your own.

Not really a huge deal, but yeah, we got bigger problems elsewhere on TDC.

You have to change the site clock yourself.  You can do so by going to your profile, and one of the last options is to adjust the time.  I just changed the 0 to a +1.

Looks like he DID end up fixing the site cllock. For those that have their clock set up right in NA, you'll notice that there's a change in the timer...

Nah America is like 5 or so hours behind England.
Our B.S.T. (British Summer time) is the equivalent to your D.S.T.
Ours doesn't go forward an hour till the 25th.
I haven't bothered to change my clock on here to my time (i.e. GMT, Greenwich Mean Time which is like the base time for the world I think. You then add or take hours) I like posting at 4am in the morning.

In my knowledge, England is at 0, and then as you move east and west of it the time goes up or down. The United States' east coast ios at -4, I think.

Yeah 0 is GMT.

Because Greenwich is where all time is measured from.
I live vair close to greenwich.

It is also where the Greenwich Meridian is. Which is a line of Longitude around the world. Everything is measured East and West from there. Much like everything is measured North and South from the Equator.
I lovesh Greenwich and all it stands for! ^^
Haha I prattle on a bit when it comes to England.

Being that the site is on Eastern time, I just see 5:36 on TDC, but know that it's 4:36 here in Illinois. You should PM him, JQ.

Um, shouldn't he also done something with the caption game? I mean, sure, shirtless Link might have been a shock for me, but, it gets annoying after a while. In fact, it doesn't look like he's anything at all. No submissions, nothing new, etc.

I don't really look at that clock, cause I just relized it was off by like an hour, lol, yea, I think it is time for him to change it, and the fact that when I refresh the page, I get confused on what time it is, Im like, is that right? or am I just losing it? ;D
