What's Kolohint: A dream or Link's dream? :o
Koholint was the Wind Fish's dream. Link was somehow brought into its dream after his ship (or boat) was destroyed by lightning. I guess you could say that once Link was on Koholint, it was also his dream. But it was definitely a dream the Wind Fish was having.
At least in Link's Awakening, it was a dream. It very well could be possible that Koholint is an actual island, but Hyrule has never heard of it. But for the purpose of this topic, in LA, Koholint was the Wind Fish's dream.
I hope that didn't confuse you even more. ;)
it did mess up my mind, ???but i get ya. :D :D
The owl that keeps following you and annoying you in LA is also part of the Wind Fish.
QuoteThe Wind Fish is in name only, for he is neither.

This proves that he is not a fish nor has anything to do with Wind. While we were talking about this, I thought I might have mentioned this. :-*
Haven't you beaten LA? The Wind Fish is a fish, it just has wings. You can't say it's a fish because it fish don't have wings. It might be called "Wind Fish" because it flies.
Actually, I would say the Wind Fish is a whale. Probably a very colorful baleen whale.
It's neither a fish nor wind related, as downright stated.
Then what idiot called it Wind Fish? Maybe it has a name, but it doesn't want to tell people.
Well, why do we drive in a parkway? Or park in a driveway? Names are misleading; we think that they should explain what something is in its name. I mean, if we named the Wind Fish the "Giant, colourful whale that isn't really flying, probably just levitating," would you be happy?
I mean, my username is Fish on most sites. Am I a fish? No, I'm not. It's a misnomer.
As for the dream:
The Wind Fish was dreaming, and Link somehow stumbled into the dream (in his own dream, I would say). Upon waking up, Link was returned to the shipwreck, and the Wind Fish woke.
And, even though we're incredibly similar, I am not Shikimaru Nara, although that would be sweet.
For all we know, maybe the Wind Fish does fly, just not while he's sleeping.
Koholint island isn't either. Its actually the software for a cancled mario game that link got stuck in. That explians the chian chomps, peaches picture, and the yoshi doll.
On a more serious note, it was the wind fishes dream.

Don't forget the goombas.
Erm... maybe Link wasn't involved in this whatsoever. Maybe the game showed Link getting hit by lightning, but then it switched over to the Wind Fish's dream, because it happened to be that Link was incorporated into the Wind Fish's dream. Link wasn't necessarily actively involved in this at all, if that makes any sense.
OR MAYBE IT'S JUST A GAME.

Pfft! Are you proposing they have creative license, and that not everything has to make sense?
Madness!
