So let's talk about some of the old, great N64 platforming games. Games like DK64, Banjo Kazooie, Super Mario 64, and (maybe) Conker's Bad Fur Day...
I so loved rare...
What about pokemon stadium's? Those were awesome. But the gc pretty much ruined pokemon.
Do you know what a platforming game is?
I thought I did, but now I'm not sure. Could you please explain?
You know, where you like jump around and stuff. From "platform" to "platform." ;D
Okay, I thought a platformer was a game like Super Mario Bros., back in the old days of the NES.
So, would Ocarina of Time be considered a platformer? I know you don't really jump, but there are "platforms" you can jump to automatically.
And I'm guessing Mario Kart 64 wouldn't be a platformer.
Am I guessing right, or do I just sound like even more of a techno idiot? :-\
I wouldn't really call OoT a platformer. The main focus of the game really has to be on the platforming aspect.
Ok, Im really confused...I thought we were just talking about the games for it...
Aww screw it, *Changes topic title to "Ye Olde N64 3-D games*
lol, ok, that works too, anyways, the pokemon game's were super awesome for the 64.
I know the title was change, but please bare with me. I want to understand this.

Basically, a platformer involves a lot of jumping around to get to either a higher or lower place, like Super Mario 64 and Donkey Kong 64? It's been a while since I played either of them, but I remember doing a lot of jumping to go from place to another. However, going up Death Mountian in OoT merely required that you walk up.
Yeah, I think you got it.
Now who here has played any of the RARE games for the N64?
I liked DK64 the best...
That game took me forever to beat! but it was fun non the less.
DK64 was the only Rare game that my dad got for the N64. I quite enjoyed it. Until my brother lent the game out to a friend. Haven't seen it since. ::)
Never did finish the game. I can't remember exactly how far I got, but I think it was Fungi Forest.
It wasn't really that hard, but the levels were HUGE. My favorites were Frantic factory, fungi forest, and the castle one...
Eh, I was a young twerp who really wasn't into video games. Back then, they were just something to do (of course, it still is something to do, but that's besides the point). I'm sure that if I were to play it now, I might find that it's a bit easier.
Banjo-Kazooie was the first video game I became obsessed with. Easily 3/4 of all the N64 games I own are Rare products. I wish that Microsoft hadn't bought them.
Have you seen the trailer for Banjo-Threeie?

SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME!!! say it right, or raccoons will be mad...
i never had a n64, only nintendo console i didnt have
That's weird, as it is probably my favorite console. The controller was a tad annoying, though.
i have Dk64 and loads of other games but the most annoying game i have for the N64 is Glover :-\
I borrowed my friend's N64 so I could finally play Ocarina of Time.

ah I got that game, it was wierd, but I thought it was fun. Then a friend I loaned it too moved away, taking that and more...
You know what was a good game? Mario Party 2. It was perhaps the best Mario Parrty, before the series started to get really old.
Paper Mario! One of the most unique and best games I have ever played (and considering I've played a lot of those games and am always looking for them, those aren't empty words).
Majora's Mask is my second fav TLOZ, just after LA. OOT is nice, but MM is one of those TLOZs that is a little different from the rest of the series. Both in gameplay and story.
Conker's Bad Fur Day: A game with attitude. 'Nuf said.
Ahhh, I dont know if anyone ever really played this one- but Jet Force Gemini was a very hard but cool N64 game... I never could beat it, though...
ah Mario Party 2, I had that before my sister broke it...it was so fun, some of the best minigames on there...the secret one, Dungeon something, that was awesome...
The secret dungeon? you mean, the Bowser Level? Yeah, that was vair hard sometimes... you could get stuck and never come out...
yeah, I remember my Mario party 2, I still play it with my cousins, I prefer it than MP 4 for gamecube.

No, it was a 2 vs 2 minigame that was secret...I can't remember how you got it either, but it was fun....you were on these skis sort of and had to move with each other...
