How to find the Friend Code:Ok this is to try to clear up questions and to prevent people always posting about how to find their Friend Code.
With the Wii, from the main menu click the Envelope Icon at the lower right. From there, click the Paper and Pencil Icon next to the date. Then click the Address Book Icon and hit Back once and it will show you your Friend Code
As for DS games, well all of them are different but for most that I have seen at the Main Menu there will be a Icon for Nintendo WFC, click that and usually there will be an Icon that will say something about your Friend Code. If you are confused, though, check your manual and if will show you how to find the Friend Code for that game.

I would like to tell all of you I told you so but I am not that kind of person. I told you spammers invaded like crazy and mess up perfectly good topics but no one listens to me considering I was a moderator on the first TDC forums and at the start of these forums until I had to take a long recess for my work (as well as being a moderator for HA1 and start of HA2). Of course some of those nominated for new mods are popular members who will most likely take it easy on spammers like FBF.
Well after seeing this post, I am here to say I will not stand for the constant spamming (which is a serious offense) by members and will do all I can to destroy it and the spammers as, just ask Shik, this forum is my little bro.
As for here, I at least have some pull and FBF, your Wii code and DS codes will be erased until you can prove to be a quality member. I do not sugar-coat things my friend or pretend to be nice like some mods, you screw up you get punished so either improve or do not expect your codes on here.
For now on, lets try to be INTELLIGENT. This is where you post your Wii Code or DS Friend Code. If you do not know either look at the first thread. If your post something besides that, you are an BREAKING THE RULES. So lets make this clear, this is JUST FOR WII/DS FRIEND CODES and NOT FOR SPAMMING, YOU SPAM YOU WILL BE REPORTED!!
I only have five things to say:
1- bgrugby, can you please stop reportingthings with the 'Report to Moderator' button? It directly sends us an email that the spam is out of control and stuff. I'm getting kinda tired of looking at my emails to see all of these. Can you just PM a mod that's on and ask them to take care of it instead?
2- You can stop insulting the mods now. Seriously, we get it, you don't like how we do our work.
3- Although I'm not telling you what to do, bgrugby, but that was a little rash, but you had a reason that gave you to reason. But still, that was almost mean. I won't say anything else anymore, though.

You have no right to talk to Whocares like that. You're treating him like he's a lesser person than you are by telling him he's unimportant. bgrugby, you're actually the one who started this 'spam' thing in this topic right now by getting extremely rash about one spam post, but preferably the limit before a warning is given should be around 5-8. Although FBF had alot to do with it, you actually did it even worse than she did. I don't want to start another argument, but can you please just tell them to stop spamming before they reach 5-8 times? Once they did, you can tell a mod, and depending on what degree the spamming is a warning will probably be given out.
Also, part of the reason that you're so worked up is that this is the topic you created that got stickied, and you take so much pride into it that one wrong post and you turn angry.
One last thing, the post wasn't as useless as you think it is. Three out of four 'Report to Moderator' emails I get are from you, and I'm asking you to stop so I don't have to see my email address filled up with them. JQ...I've tried to stay out of this...but..Really the only reason there is any fighting is because of you. NObody else besides you and rugby is fighting, everybody is happy. The only fighting going on is between the mods and you. Also, try to make sure that there isn't anything on/by/next to the Wii when you try to connect, as that may interfere with the signal.

No, they don't use internet. It isn't what you have on, it's stuff in the way. Or maybe your Wii is too far away? How close are the computer and Wii?
Probably like 5 or 6 feet, idk? it should read... it did it the first time I did it, just fine, and I had firewall shut off, I really have no clue why its not working...
Yeah, it really isn't that far from his computer. But right now, I have my Wii, like...four feet, probably, from the computer, and even then, the signal can be blocked sometimes. See if you can point the end of the Connector opposite the USB plug toward the Wii; I noticed that when mine was planted right into the ground this morning, the Wii didn't pick up the signal.
The side I'm talking about is the one with the dark plastic thing at the end of it. Think of it like a TV remote. You don't want anything in your way when you try to change channels, or else the TV might not pick up the signal. The same concept applies here.
Also, be sure to renew your connection by checking it in the Connection Setting menu.

If one of the people you add does not have internet, even if they add you it'll say they haven't.
The thing is, though, both parties need working connections in order to register Friend Codes. Otherwise, you can't access the Wi-Fi features. At least, that's as far as I know.

i can get it to do the wi-fi thing, so its connected to the internet, but i can't brawl with anyone. i can spectate though.. i think it might be like a firewall or something, but how do i get rid of that?? am i the retarded one?? oh yeah, and i added mk and mf and rabies but its doing the whole awaiting w/e thing..
I'm having issues with our Wii, too. I tried moving it downstairs so it'd be closer to the router/internet box/whatever you want to call it. However, it seems to be even worse down there... Plus, the electrical outlet we have it plugged into down there is controlled by the light switch; whenever you turn the lights off, power to that outlet is shut off, too. Thus, I can't have it connected to the internet overnight. I guess I'm going to have to move the Wii back upstairs... If any of you have tried to send us a Wii message and it didn't work, now you know why.

Not really. You don't have to enter someone's Wii name exactly as it appears on their console; you can actually enter whatever you like, and it'll still work.

Yeah, it's a lot different fighting with lag. You have to plan your moves without being able to see them. It's...odd.

It pretends to hook up to WFC forever. o_o Like, no error messages, it just sits there.
You could try clearing your connection settings and reset them. Or you could try to see if you have a firewall up. I'm not sure how much the firewall thing will help you, but I'd say it's worth a shot.
If you set up your internet again, enter these DNS settings. It's supposed to help with gaming online, and so far, it has made somewhat of a difference for me.

No, once you've added someone, and they've added you, there should be no issue. Double-check the friend codes; I entered a code wrong once, and once I discovered that and re-entered it correctly, the problem went away.
That's the thing, I already double and triple-checked. I am almost positive they are correct, but I could be wrong. I am kinda dyslexic, so maybe I am overlooking something.

I am convinced that the reason I am not registering Shika and Tacheon and visa versa isn't because of a miss-typed code. A while ago I tried retyping in Tacheon's code from scratch and I did it wrong and it told me it was incorrect. Then I typed it in the correct way and it let me add him. I figure they have the codes set up in such a way so it is hard to miss-type a code but still have it be a correct code. If that is the case, what else might be going wrong. Could it be a firewall thing?
If they themselves have access to Nintendo WFC, then I doubt it would be a firewall thing. It's worth a shot to disengage the firewall, but I find it more likely that a firewall would prevent them from getting on period.
Maybe Nintendo's support site has the answer...? I'd check, but I have a worse connection than usual available to me...

To find it, you have to:
-go to the basement of a PC and get a pal pad
-go on wi-fi
-go to the plaza
-leave wi-fi
-use the pal pad from your bag.
It took me forever to figure that out the first time. ;)

This past week I have been on maybe 10 - 20 minutes a day. Before that it was even less. That might be the problem. Do you think it would help if I logged in and just let it sit for half a day?
It probably would help if the people who don't have you registered were on at the same time, too.
Yeah, I think I will just stay logged in whether I am playing or not. That will greatly increase the chances of being online at the same time as someone else.
