Well, I thought ZV's topic was about SOMETHING that me and Gamefreak discussed (only Phantompig nad the mods should know about it) and deleted it. But then ZV informed me otherwise.

Basically, ZV's quiting the mods. *ZV, this is where you modify*

Well, here are some choices. Me and Gamefreak and ZV each discussed when we discussed IT a list of people who could (not would) one day become mods. Well, these are them...

Listen guys, I'm so sick of being told who to yell at, who to scold, and who to punish. Before you go blaming Bgrugby for this, know that it wasn't just him. Don't get me wrong, if you ever need anything, I'm your man. I'm just not going to enforce the rules anymore. I hardly obey the real laws of life!! I just wanted to be all the help I could be. But with the rules being bent backwards, and some even ignored completely. Things were simple way back when... Back when Jack was around tio enforce everything and Keep TDC afloat. Now... Well, In short, I'm giving up my Modship! I had previously selected members which I felt could make good mods, but somebody didn't agree with it, so it got deleted. TDC is so corrupt now, that I've even concidered leaving the forums completely. If indeed I do decide to leave, know that I'll totally miss you all!!

This place has become riddled to the very brim with corruption. It sickens me. Go ahead. Ban me or warn me for this post, I dont care. This place indeed has become depressing as of late. There'd be little point for even others to stay for the very same reasons.

Also, you're not getting a warning, but I had a big reason to delete it for what I thought it might be.

It has nothing to do with the mods, and only Jack can do this. The decision on whether or not to do this will forever change TDC, and telling members might provoke a controversy. As said, this will change TDC forever.

I'm about to ask Jack his opinion and tell him of ZV's quiting and this topic.

What angered me most is that you deleted it, yet you didn't even take the time to read what I had to say. Maybe thats why so many topics are locked these days...

Well, I'll ask Gamefreak if it's safe. If he thinks so, then mabye we might tell you. I think you have a right to know, but I'm not entirely sure what to do, it's extremely important.

You know, I myself can't say I'm too familiar with whats going on. And nothing should EVER be hidden from the members. Nothing as important as you make it out to be... You'll tell us whether GameFreak agrees or not.

You should tell us simply because a good mod is there to help KEEP THE SITE TOGETHER. And right now, the site is falling apart. I'd say thats not a good mod thing, is it?

Sorry ZV, I tried to keep this hidden so Jack would be the one to reveal it so it doesn't look like a scam, so...

We're thinking of asking Jack if he will promote someone (not just a mod, butany member with enough talent) to second administrator, who will have all abilities he has and will work alongside him with his power when he's not around and when he is, like in HA2.

And I have suspected such a thing for some time now. It really is no surprise...

Wow....I just can't believe it...of all people ZV leaves...? I don't really want anybody to leave....I don't know if anyone's realized just how hard this has been on me. This site is so precious to me, I hate seeing fighting like this...All the people I've come to know and respect have been fighting and quitting left and right...Please stay ZV...I can understand you not wanting to be a mod anymore, there has been a lot of stress on you guys, that's why I didn't go along with rugby and start complaining like that...he asked me to in PMs, but I just didn't think it was right...If you feel you have to leave, then you should do what you think is right. If you do end up leaving, I will try and keep order even if I'm not the mod, because I know this site means a lot to you as well.

WHAT ABOUT ME I've been in line for a year and I'm older than all but one member in the poll and thats Magmar, and I'm back, and sould'nt we consult Jack about this, I'm at the top of his Mod list, I mean this IS still Jacks website, and I've think I desevere to be in the running again, I've had school work, the teachers are giving me TOO MANY projects. I really think I should be in the poll, I've been here, I left, but not forever, so don't act like I'm dead cuz I'm not. And I agree with ZV we members should know, mods are leader. And leaders take care of people, not hid things and hiding only makes thing risker for the leader, and I have enough sense to now that something MAJOR is not right. I sat back and congradulated you on making the step up to being a mod Whocares, but now I'm gonna say it, Jack should of given this responseability to someone, not just me, but to a BETTER person. Heck Magmarfire could of done a better job anyway. And if you consulted Jack, have more sense, HE WON'T BE BACK, he probly forgot about us. Jack hasn't been around for a while Howl. This really isn't a time to be whining either, this has been really hard on a lot of us, it isn't a happy time where one of us finally gets power or anything like that. If enough people think you should be mod though, I suppose we could count that aside from the poll and give you a shot at becoming a mod.

okay, that's way extreme. You shouldn't have come out and insulted him like that, everything has been said and done, you missed it, we need to move on. This site will not die, we've had bigger problems before. And Jack will NEVER Forget about us, he has been doing this for so long, this is important to him. He is busy, that's all. Same reason you were gone for a month. Also, I don't mean to offend, but I don't think you have a very good chance of becoming a mod. You have horrible grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and age has nothing to do with it, you don't see Jdog up there.(and for good reason)

EDIT: Also, I checked, you aren't older than me. Or anyone on the poll for that matter. Do your research next time.

I owe many things to Zelda Veteran.  For one, it's thanks to him that I became a mod in the first place.  I'm very grateful to him and I hope that he finds it in his heart to stay here.

This place is my home away from home.  You've all become some of my closest friends and not once have I considered leaving.  I've had my arguments and conflicts with some of you, but I seek to work things out.  Bgrugby has made a point recently that I will not deny.  I have been lenient on what's warnable and what's not warnable although I wasn't particularly fond of the way he presented it.  Yet I was able to make my peace with him before he left again.  So Zelda Veteran, I'm sure we can work out this whole thing and you'll stay.

After a few minutes of reading this entire thread (which is growing at an incredibly noticeable rate), I have one thing to say: :o

I had never, ever thought of ZV leaving the Mod Squad; and hearing him say that he's actually doing it threw me in for a loop. What's worse is that I never thought of ZV leaving TDC altogether--which is even worse--and yet he considers it! ZV, you are THE very first friendly face that I saw in my one full year of being a member of TDC forums, and if you leave, nothing here will be the same again. I'm sorry if I sound demanding--or even all-around stupid--but I must say it: ZV, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE!!! :'(

Anyway, we're going to get through all of this corruption, guys. As one of the previous posters once said (SN, I think), we've been in worse situations before. Need I remind all of you guys about the Spam Bot Incident or the Medli Era? Okay, I guess I was a part of the problem in the Medli Era in the first place, but we all eventually got through it, save the people who were banned. We're just going through a depression in the proverbial "forum cycle." Eventually, it will upgrade to a recession and then finally a prosperity. We'll get through this, guys. We can do it. :)

It sounds like people think this site is falling apart because the admin. left. Then Whocares though it would be better not to worry the members, so he covered up that topic but what happened leeked out, so your worried about that. Then, of course, Bgruby leaves, and he's an old member. Then some of the mods think they aen't enforceing their duties well, so they're stressing out. Then the rest of the topic-deleating thing, so everyone's stressed ot, mad at each other, and think they should leave. Even if you do leave, this site can't die. It will not. We will miss everyoe who does leave, but there's enough fighting going on without one inside a website. So, bye everyone who's leaving, but this needs to stay together.

I'm not stressing.  I'm just aware.  

I'm not one to go.  Hate to be cliche but "When the going gets tough, the tough get going."  I don't want to leave when things get bad, I want to see things through until the end.  I want to set things straight.  That's why, if we can't have an admin for the site, we at least need an admin for the forums.  We're heavily vulnerable to threats and if one came along, there's nothing we can do.  A forum administrator would be the best course of action right now.  Also, in the worse scenario that Zelda Veteran does leave, we'll be very short on mods.  Whocares and I will be the only regularly active mods and there will be only so much we can do.  Darth Wyndisis has been showing some activity lately and I'm grateful for the help, but with only mods, we're caught between a rock and a hard place.

So I guess no matter what we have to get the mod situation straightened out. There is nothing we can do about a forum administrator at the moment, with Jack gone....we don't even know if he will allow it.

Whether or not he allows it, if some one isn't in charge, this may fall apart. We need to apont some one now then tell Jack when he get's back on. If we don't have a strong leader to  get us through this, this site may die.

If he doesn't make it official though, then said forum administrator won't be able to do anything. Jack is the only one who can grant power.

This whole thing depends on whether Jack gets back to this site.  But who would the forum administrator be?

All I can do is delete, move, and lock threads, and delete and modify posts.  That's the limits to what I can do.

We don't really need him. We have solved most of the problem on our own and worked things out. Nobody's really mad at anyone else anymore, even rugby.

Still, don't think that the mods are the only ones that can keep a forum under order. EVERYONE can keep order, which is ultimately what it comes down to. It's a MEMBER that acts up, and just about anyone can tell him/her to knock it off. We all have a voice to be heard if something goes wrong. It's not like we can't tell someone to stop if he or she starts acting up, right?

However, if push comes to shove, that's when the mods come in to "officially" create order.

I haven't seen him.  I've sent him a PM.

I've also sent Jack and e-mail outlining the problem we're having right now.  Hopefully, I'll get a reply.

I PMed him three decisions that me and Gamefreak went over that would be best for the job. Yes, Gamefreak's one of them, (probably to the relief of some of you) but I actually decided last year, when we were already discussing this problem with Jack, that I didn't want ot be it, because banning members would make me feel like I'm the bad guy. Gamefreak, you know who the other two choices are.

Also, ZV, we already discussed the problem a long time ago, last year, in fall. You were one of them we consulted.

Also, we also talked about whether we should begin giving out permanent warnings, which are only to be given out by a forum administrator and don't pass away by the month, only by having very good behavior for a long time will it go away. This will only be for the ones that cause trouble over a long period, like medli and Ganon did.

I don't remember much of that, sorry ;)
And also, I want to apologize for making you guys worry like that. I was so mad last night that I might have been a bit out of control. I won't be leaving the forums, and GameFreak gave me a few good reasons to keep my modship... but I'll have to think about all of this. Would that be alright with you guys?

I hope that you decide on the decision you think is right, but that's up to you, not me. Only you are in charge of that decision. But I suggest you make it quickly. I already told Jack you quit, and he tends to show up more on the weekends.

I'm sure a PM from ZV would fix that.

I e-mailed Jack too, but I told him we had a problem.  I didn't say outright that Zelda Veteran had quit so that problem wouldn't come up if he had a change of heart.

Let's hope the decision is made before Jack comes, or it will cause some bad stuff to happen. The site can't take much more of this.

You could just send Jack another message saying that the issue has been resolved.

I understand that a decision must be made, and quicker than expected. While I would have liked more time to think about it, I understand that something must be done. If there is anything I can do to save TDC from whats going on, I would like to be able to take action. I'll be keeping my Modship for now, because I would hate to see TDC slip away, especially if there was anything I could do to prevent it. I've seen 2 years pass over this site. I've seen people come, and I've seen people go. And I'll be damned if I let more people go. I made the hasty decision that I was going to leave last night, and my anger was partly to blame for that. Again, sorry to make you guys worry. But if there is anything I can do, I'll do it. So go ahead and tell Jack that as GameFreak predicted, I had a change of heart.

As I've said earlier, this is something of another home for me.  I feel welcome here, and I know that we'll have our troubles, but that's why I want to fight even more for it.  If there's a way to fight through this and get it back to the glory days, then it's worth fighting for.  If something were to happen to this site...It would be like losing some of my closest friends.

I forgive you, BattosaiKey. You weren't the only one. It seems every corner there was a problem. It's gotten a little better with the bgrugby problem over and MetaKing not here right now, but it's still healing slowly.

EDIT: and also I would just like to add that it really ticked me off when we were trying to figure out what to do if ZV left and you started complaining about not being on the poll. Well, seeing as how Jack hasn't replied to anything in the past month or so, I think it's safe to say that either he's avoiding us or when he gets back, he will probably have HUNDREDS of messages to deal with in his inbox... YIPE!

People can say that they're sorry, but sometimes the character doesn't change. Sure, he may go about it for a moment, but he'll eventually go on to the same attitude and create the same problem.

I think Magmarfire would make a good mod, concidering he owns his own forum, so I voted for him.

We just made a second admin topic, you know. It will decide who the average members think should become the only other member with all powers Jack has.

I don't think anyone will have all the power Jack does, just enough to post on the front page, and ban members in the event that he's not around to do so himself. Somebody that he needs to talk to, and make sure that they know how to handle the situation correctly.

Actually, we did last year (again I say this) and he said he'd think about it.

And actually, as seen in HA2, two members can be admin. with the same amount of power. We need to do it here, too.

We're going to make a different poll for the mod after we take care of the Forum Administrator thing.

Rabies, Mags is the god, not me. He's gotten like 8 nominations, we just stopped counting. So are you converting to Magism? and I think anybody besides the three that Whocares posted will be very unlikely to get nominated because people think they have to choose those three.

What I am trying to understand, is do we have to choose two mods if Gamefreak becomes FA?
