I might ask for a PS2 on my 10th birthday. Do you think I should, if they aren't too much?

They're cheaper than PS3s, that's for sure. :'(

You could probably get a PS2 in the one-hundred range. They pretty much depreciated to the point where they're affordable.

We got our slim one for $120, by now it's probably down another ten. So if you want one, go for it, they aren't too pricy.
