I was thinking on the bus to school this morning about albino animals. And how albino mice, bunnies, etc. have red eyes and their fur is white, well I was thinking since Vaati has red eyes, he might be albino. But then again, his hair isn't white, it's purple, so...what do you guys think?
I think....eh, whatever. It could probably be turned into a very humorous tale.
Vaati: I shall find the Light Force, take it, and become a god!
Princess Zelda: But...gods aren't albino. You can't become a god. Your plan already fails.
Vaati: . . . .That hurt.
Princess Zelda: Well, it's not my fault you suck at planning ahead.
Vaati: Silence, insolent fool! To stone with you!
Lol. Yeah, it could. That's pretty funny! :D
I don't know; I refer to him as albino often, but I have no idea, really. His skin really is pale, though, and he could at least be partial albino. There's always magic hair (and skin?) dye to make him have purple hair! ;D
(@ HNS) A very humorous tale, indeed. XD I can just see him sizzling in the sun.
...I'm so glad someone made a topic about this, I always wanted to ask, but I was afraid no one would look. XD
There's a lot of albino bad guys, anyways, it wouldn't be that far fetched.
There's albino bad guys? I've never noticed. Where was it? :-\
I actually find that tale more insulting to albinos than really funny.
...How was that insulting? Anyway, Vaati's skin IS pale, so yeah.
Hmm... so basically he's saying that Albinos wouldn't be able to take over the world because they're albino... and the stereotype that albinos tend to be evil is also implied...
Remember Kids: It's wrong to make fun of people that are different than you.
Hi no Seijin was joking. You can't be humourous without being a tad bit rude, and Fisk was just pointing out the coincidental. I'm Polish, but I don't find the "Dumb Polack" jokes offensive. Anyway, let's not get into a fight. Let's just get back ontopic.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albinism_in_popular_culture
There's a whole list of them about halfway down.
Hey, JQ, deep down, aren't we all just a little bit racist? ;3
Hmm, nice piece of information you have there. Lol. If my history teacher saw this, he would just say out of the blue, "Don't use Wikipedia, you're banned from the computers!" ;D
I'm looking at the picture of Vaati set as my MySpace backround, his face is pretty whitish-light purple.
Vaati can't be albino because he has hair.Albino peopel don't grow hair.
Whoa! ...They don't? :-X
That's what my brother said.
Lol. And we all know that with Vaati's long hair, he's the very OPOSITE of bald. Lmao. (Unlike Voldemort) ;D :D
Umm... Albinos can indeed grow hair...
Oh, I wouldn't know.

I didn't even know that stereotype existed.
And, well, Princess Zelda was right. Vaati wasn't able to take over the world, though for different reasons than suggested. >>
And plus, isn't trying to take over the world supposed to be a bad thing?

That's what my brother said.
Umm, sorry to break it to you, but your brother lied. Albinos DO grow hair....the only thing that makes them different from normal people is eye, skin, and hair color.
I don't think Vaati would be Albino, actually. Because his skin is more pale. And an Albino's skin is more pinkish.
i didnt even know there was albino people :-X
i thought just rabbits and mice could be albino...
anyways, theres a type of character, they have almost see-through color hair and really pale skill.. there cool, thats probally what Vaati is
Yep, there's albino humans alright. I actually learned it after I started this topic. When I thought of 'albino', I thought of mice with red eyes. And mice kind of remind me of Minish.
i used to have an albino mouse a long time ago.. mice remind me of minish too
I think rodents are a lot more likely to be albinos than people. Something in their genes, I bet. That's why you see so many white rats and rabbits.
Well, and scientists have bred albino rats and rabbits for years. They're apparently calmer than regular rats/rabbits, and therefore better suited for the... experiments. Because they won't freak out as much.
I've seen a lot of albino snakes, though...

Well, Temujin has red eyes, and white hair, but, he's not ghost white!! Or snow white... LOL!!
He doesn't look like Snow White, does he? XD
Well, it all depends on various things; the style, how people decide to draw him... a lot of people seem to think he's blue & orange, after all.
Oh, and about albinos being more pinkish... it's more on the person. I'm peach/pinkish, while I know people who're more tan or yellow-tinted.
Wait, how does Vaati look...orange?
Vaati could be albino since he has pale skin, red eyes, and maybe he dyed his white hair purple.
Also, I saw an albino aligator at a zoo once, it was completely white, and had to stay indoors becuase it would get sunburned outside.
Interseting.
Ha, maybe I sould bleach my hair and then dye it purple to look like Vaati.
i always consitered getting light purple hair.. but i dont think i would want to bleach my hair 8)
Me niether, because it's permanant. So the last time I dyed it (I'm dying it again) it was a dark purple. But here's a trick I use: my hair is light brown, so I use this blond shampoo to make my hair lighter, it works! So my hair is like a dark blond.
Okay, back to the topic...
I've heard of this blood defect called methemoglobinemia (quite a mouthful) that turns your skin purple or blue. It's really purple though.
Oh cool! ;)

Actually, bleaching your hair isn't permanent; your natural hair will grow out back with brown roots after a while... hair does grow, after all. >_> now we can get back on topic.
No, I mean the parts that were bleached is still going to be there (permanent means it won't wash out ever) 8) Even when the brown comes back in, it will still be there. And hair grows half an inch each month, and I don't want to cut all my hair off, or have half blond hair, and half brown hair until my hair grows to thr right length again.
Sorry, I just had to say, okay back ontopic. No more talk about this.
But, now that I think about it, there probably are more Minish that look like Vaati with the purple hair and red eyes and all that jazz. But you just don't...see them? I dunno. It might be a rare species of Minish.
Minish with hair over one eye and dark skin...probably listen to Fallout Boy..Emo-nish?
Or it could be a genetic defect caused by a bad chromosome.
A recessive gene :) His parents could be normal which could make this very hard.

What do you mean? Like it would cause his hair to grow in a certain direction?
actually, Vaati could have bangs sort of like I do. You don't have to grow your hair out over one eye, just brushing the longer hair in the back forward a bit does it.
Hair always naturally covers your eyes, it's if you cut it or move it back that keeps it out of your face.
Yeah, it actually happens to me a lot in gym when I do swimming, my hair always goes to one side and get in my face. Also my eye make-up smears and I look dead. So I go "Look I'm an emo!" ;D
But to SNH, about the dark skin. I dunno, it might be just me, but I always thought his skin was rather pale.
Er, I meant pale, not dark, sorry. But his albino-ness could be a genetic defect, seriously.
True, that.
Guys, a thought: maybe Vaati once looked like every other Minish, but as he became corrupted by the cap, his heart grew twisted and his appearance started to change. After all, his red eyes make his look rather corrupted, no?
Yes, but he has the pale skin, red eyes, and purple hair as a Minish before he stole the cap.
http://zs.ffshrine.org/album/minish-cap/sprites/MinishVaati.gif
No, no, I mean, he turned that way while he was a Minish. His eyes would get redder by the day (as a Minish).
"...Vaati once looked like every other Minish, but as he became corrupted by the cap, his heart grew twisted and his appearance started to change..."(This being before he stole Ezlo's cap) ???
Sorry, I get frustrated easliy. ;)
Oh, I get what you mean. That would work. :)
