The Gibdo in Majora's Mask? If I remember correctly, they won't attack Deku Link. I'm pretty sure ReDeads still do, but the Gibdo won't. Not like Deku Link can really attack, but still.
...Or you could just wear the Gibdo mask, but it's more fun to be Deku Link.
I haven't tried it. When I build up the courage, I should try it. Don't expect THAT happening anytime soon. :P
Where'd you find this out? (Other than the Gibdo Mask part.)
The fact that I'm Deku Link well over 80% of the time. He's just so cute... and I love his spin attack.
But seriously, I was just walking along as Deku Link and they never attacked me.
Try it again to make sure.
I'm kind of... lacking in the MM section. ;) Though if you have it, you could try it out.
Interesting, I should try it! I remember when I was about ten and I was playing OoT and a ReDead grabbed me and was pretty much sucking my will to live. That night I had a hard time sleeping. :D But I'm over that now, I'll definately try it! :)
They also don't attack Goron Link.
I once came up with two theories for why they do attack Hylian Link and Zora Link, but not the other two:
A. The programmers were sloppy. Because Zora Link is most likely an edited adult Link from OOT, it didn't need to have the Gibdo's attack redone, whereas that was necessary for the physically different Deku and Goron. They just didn't bother to redo them and made Gibdos not attack those two.
B. Zora Link and Hylian Link are made of flesh (every undead's fav food) and Deku Link and Goron Link out of.... something else (wood and stone?). Anyway, stuff undead like as much as I like asparagus.
Yeah, I mean, I know Deku Link is alive and everything, but do you really look at a Deku and expect them to have blood? They're practically made of wood and leaves...they might have...sawdust... :-\
The Gorons are known as the rock people, so what LadyNintendo says is possible.

They aren't that strong, and they only need about 5 hits to kill. Why are yo afriad of them?
That was kind of a joke. I do that a lot. Aside from that, it'd mostly be because of their looks and their screams. Trust me, if you were as timorous as I am, then you'd have the same problem. But it was kind of a joke.
I love wearing the Gibdo Mask and then just slashing them to death. You can use a fire arrow on one and its bandages burn away to reveal a redead!
I wish their mask was also in MM. Like Dampé carving you one to thank you for something or as a bribe if you keep quiet about his hobby (carving ReDead masks, we all remember what they are made of, right?).

When does it say Dampe likes to make redead masks? If I remember right they are made from coffins.
Well..Dampe works in the graveyard, and ReDead are....

I'm sorry for the confusion. I just thought of an example of how one could've acquired the ReDead Mask if it would've been in MM. Dampé, being the gravekeeper, was just the best person to use in this scenario. I could also have said the professor, who was turned into a half-Gibdo, had that hobby (he's obsessed with dead creatures, so why not.)
Because you already get the Gibdo Mask there, that's why. The ReDead Mask should have, at the cost of magic power, let out a paralyzing scream when you pressed B. Then, once all nearby enemies are paralyzed, you could remove the mask and then "swing away". *Cookie for reference*
Are you guys forgetting what happened when you wore a scary mask and talked to Dampe in BOTH OoT AND MM? In OoT, he'd say something like he was really startled, I think screaming. And in MM, he'd go RUN off to his house... and hide.
I remember that well. I tried to follow him once at full speed goron roll....and he out ran me!
Is it ever posssible to get in his house in MM?
Indeed it is. I believe you have to wait until the night of the third day, and then ask the Stalchildren to destroy one of the tombstones. You'll end up in a room where you can find a Big Poe. I believe you can get into Dampé's house from this room.
...But don't quote me on that. It's been a long time. ::)

So? I'm pretty sure there have been more occasions in MM that got you two things for doing hardly anything extra, or the same later. What about if you would prevent him from going into the Gibdo tunnel on the first day (just an idea) and, because his research led him to another part of Ikana Canyon that day, he becomes a half ReDead instead on day two?
Gibdos and Redeads are the same thing, Gibdos just have bandages. If you shoot a Gibdo with a five arrow it becomes a Redead.
But you can't talk to a ReDead in MM while you're wearing the Gibdo Mask, now, can you? ;)
Besides, it's not completely true. While shooting a Gibdo in OOT and MM with fire arrows reveals a Gibdo. But in all 2D games, they become skeletons. Gibdoes and ReDeads are not entirely the same thing.
Being able to talk to ReDeads would've been so awesome in Ikana's castle.
After reading this topic, I thought I'd do some experimenting and try the things mentioned, just out of curiosity. I'll give the results:
Gibdos will not attack Deku Link or Goron Link, but they will attack Human Link and Zora Link.
Shooting fire arrows at Gibdos turns them into ReDeads.
Wearing the Gibdo Mask will keep both Gibdos and ReDeads from attacking you. However, you cannot talk to ReDeads with the mask, only Gibdos.
ReDeads, like Gibdos, will not attack Deku Link or Goron Link, but they will attack Zora Link and Human Link.

Well, at least they still dance. I find THAT awesome. :D
Funny story, I had a hard time getting to sleep after a ReDead (almost the same thing) had killed me in OoT. I was freaked out! ;D
