Title: Sleep (merged with Sleepwalking)
Post by: MasterKeyX on June 24, 2007, 02:18:07 PM
I decided to make this topic on account of the fact I saw my sister sleepwalk last night! It was so funny, and also really creepy. So I then thought ot make a topic about sleepwalking stories on the forum.

Go ahead, share if you'd like. Dont be shy! :)

My dad slept walk once, he walked into my room and was like, don't forget to feed the baby, I was all, what the hell are you talking about man?! It so freaking funny!

My grandpa Grumps drinks a lot. Not really... a drunkard, persay, but... well, once, he woke up to go use the restroom while the family was down visiting. ... He went to my parents closet and then my dad woke up and directed him to the bathroom.

I myself have never sleepwalked; I'm a light sleeper, and even a slight shake would wake me up... so I doubt I'd be able to get up without my knowing.

heh, when I was little, I used to sleep in a small room like right next to the bathroom, and I thought I walked into the bathroom, but really I was right next to the bed, and you guys can probably guess what happened next. ;)

I'm not sure if I've ever sleepwalked. You can't really rememmber if you yourself were sleepwalking, can you? But I have walked up from my bed while I was incredibly sleepy, but awake... It feels weird, like you're high.

yeah, you really can't remember what you do when your sleep walking, my mom just randomly told me these things, she told me all this stuff like later on in the week or so, and I was like, are you serious?! I hate that, not being able to remember what it is your doing when your sleep walking, or if you can't remember if you did sleep walk or not, like at my friends house, I once slept walk and slept talk at the same time(well so he said) so yeah, sometimes you don't know if that person is just saying that and what not. but yeah, to my conclusion, it is very embarresing.

My friends talk and snore in their sleep. It's pretty amusing, actually. I was cleaning up the room, and one said "Hurry up, Haley, cast Life, I'm dying." ...XD We'd been playing Crystal Chronicles all night.

um, you're kind of off topic there bud.
anyways, my dad has done some interesting stuff in his sleep walk, he once asked how my game of golf was in the middle of the night and I didn't even play golf on that day, or year, and I was all, ok, I'm just frightened by that dude.

Seeing how there is a topic on sleepwalking and what not, I figured I'd make a topic on the whole thing of sleeping, just tell us what you do in your sleep, I sometimes will talk in my sleep, once I thought I was playing my playstation, but the paddle dissapeared. I was ok, I'm freaked now, why does this keep happening? then I wake up, and I was all, wow, that was really awkward.

I know, but people were talking about other than sleepwalking, so I just made a topic about sleep, so yeah.
Title: Re:Sleep
Post by: Fishalicious on June 24, 2007, 04:28:24 PM
Regarding sleep... I'm usually just sleeping. owo Though I do mumble stuff in tongues/Latin sometimes... And I've slept with my eyes open before, too. It creeps people out... XD

Regarding dreams, I'm usually light enough a sleeper to... not dream. Though when I do dream, it's really cryptic and usually involves zombies, and there's always a fish in it. It's pretty much the stuff that makes up Silent Hill/Fatal Frame/The Shadow Temple/Resident Evil/etc.

I was discussing about activities in sleep. Sleep-talking and Sleepwalking are very similar. Though I'm willing to forget about it as long as we stay on topic from here on out.

I barely ever remember my dreams. But once I had a dream about the final battle in TP, I was Link, sometimes in third person, sometimes in first. It was SCHWEET.

Then the next night I had a dream that I was in the Pirate's fortress and I was Zora Link but I was shooting everyone with arrows. Which is impossible in game.

I have lots of dreams about stealing/having to drive cars and not being able to control them. Once the cops took me away in a little red pull wagon.

I had a dream about the forest temple. It was weird, it was like... half shadow-temple ('cause that's how I roll) and had a giant fish/leever/insect boss that... ripped me to shreds, threw  me to to the side, and impaled me. ;)

Title: Re:Sleep
Post by: Fishalicious on June 24, 2007, 06:41:12 PM
It's... not that bad compared to others.

Oh yeah:

http://www.dreammoods.com/dreamdictionary/

It says what the stuff in your dreams symbolizes.

My dream says this about me:

I need to face reality. I'm looking for myself/true identity. I have low self-esteem/I'm afraid of failure/overwhelmed with anxiety. A relationship will end soon. I'm censoring myself. I'm emotionally detached from friends or I feel dead inside.

...That was depressing. >:

QuoteTo dream that you are stealing, denotes that you are deprived and where the stealing takes place (at home, the office, at school....) is indicative of your neediness. Alternatively, it may signify unrealized and unfulfilled goals. You may have set your goals too high.
For when I steal cars.

And apparently, me killing Ganondorf, means I'm gonna defeat my enemies... :o I have enemies? WAIT! I'm gonna defeat the republicans! WOOT!

I also have premonitions. Coolio.

I took care of the merging. You don't have to worry about it, JQ.

Anyway, MK, my bed looks like a battlefield all the time. It's not like a really need it made; we've been having pretty hot weather lately, so I don't need my blankets to sleep. :P

I don't sleep with blankets; I sleep curled up in a little ball next to my pillow. Or just... on a mattress. I'm not really picky about sleeping conditions.

Of course, if you have the displeasure of sleeping next to me, my kneecaps will dig into your back all night. Or I'll hog the blankets. >w>

I once went to a sleepover and there were about 6 of us on the floor, and my friend kept moving and I ended up jammed in the fireplace...
I dont know hwy I said that.
I have a lot of nightmares. One is I am on an operating table in a pitch dark room and I can see someones sillhouette (weird because it's dark) and they are cutting my legs open with a scalpel, and I'm begging them to stop, but I'm strapped down,  I'm left alive though. And the horrid thing is I always have a feeling I know the person, sometimes they even have a white question mark on their face.

I always wake up crying and freaked out, most of my dreams involve me in pain, I looked that up, it's like you need to release feelings inside and you feel as if you have been violated. ><

Anyway, not to be morbid, I once dreamt I slapped my History teacher because he called me fat.

You're lucky, my nightmares seem to have become worse because I've seen more of the world. That's kinda depressing.

I still have nightmares, but they aren't nightmares to me. I explained one to Ben, and he shuddered. XD;

My dreams just have depressing meanings more than a depressing story...

I've had dreams where I can''t move. Paralyzed for some reason, but it's like I'm in or near a hospital when that happens, so doctors come and go around me... It's weird, especially if you're being carried...

Well, that's probably more in-dream than anything else. I find myself being able to hear random words in my head while I sleep, sometimes even like I'm saying them in the real world. It's more of an unconscious thing than anything else, it's weird too...

Out of body experiences tend to be one in the same with dreaming or sleeping experiences.
Title: Re:Sleep (merged with Sleepwalking)
Post by: Bboy94 on June 26, 2007, 02:18:14 PM
I always have to sleep with covers. No matter how hot it is. Unless I like, collapse. I always sleep on my front or side. I can't sleep on my back for some reason. So I always get a feeling of something or someone behind me, watching me if I don't have covers over me.

I had a dream once, that I was in a hospital with my best friend when his little sister was born, and for some reason I was carrying her, and I went into the elevator. There were these evil gothic creepy 16 year olds that started cutting the baby until its skin was cut off.

*shiver*

I don't sleep in pajamas... I'm always scared that if I do, someone will run in my house and I'll have to fight them or something; and it's easier to move in my casual clothes...

And I sleep curled in a ball on my side pretty much every night.

I have two types of dreams that are pretty common for me.  One is when I am walking around and it is like I am walking on the moon, and I cant get anywhere very quickly.  Then I have these bad dreams where my jaws clench together very tightly and I grind my teeth to the point that all my teeth break and all fall out.

I have really weird dreams, if I have any at all. And since I moved, whenever I get hurt in my dreams, it happens in real life as well. A common one is where I get bit by this combination of a zombie and wolf on my shin. I have a scar there now.

On another note, I talk in my sleep and have hallucinations in the middle of/right before sleeping. One night, I hallucinated about spiders and later turned on the lights in my parents room while "looking for my metal shoes".
Title: Re:Sleep (merged with Sleepwalking)
Post by: MasterKeyX on June 30, 2007, 08:02:12 AM
Metal shoes, huh? Yeah, I have a pair of those. :P

Seriously, though, I had this recurring dream once when I was like 4 or 5. I would be walking down a path with my granparents, and it would be incredibly foggy or really cloudy and rainy. Then, suddenly, I'd take off and I'd get lost in the mist, never to be seen again...

The weirdest thing about this dream is that I saw it from the point of view of someone other than myself... :o

I had a dream yesterday during the day, while taking a nap. It was a little freaky, but I started the dream in my bed and there was a lot of noise (well, my sister had friends over, so there was a lot fo noise in the house as well in real world) anyway, I wake up, but it's like I'm hallucinating cause I see a ceiling fan in my room and blood starts to slowly pour out. A fair bit freaky,  then I'm in this drowsy state and I look again and the fan disappears.

Then some other stuff happens. I'm really hungry so I go out of my room and I try to get some food, but there's no food left. So I go outside, a little dizzy (there are still my sister's friends at my house in both dream and real world) onto my deck and I try to fall over the railing, like your hanging over the bars with your feet in the air. I try to fall down... but I don't.

There were some other freaky things in that dream as well, including a show of a freaky nature that showed amatuer movies and quite a few of them were scary. One of them featured a guy driving a car and he goes the wrong way, trying to get on a racetrack and then some busses come through and his car chomps through something ahead, then the busses come up and 'chomp' up the car... a fair bit of blood I think there was...

Hm, well, when I sleep, I feel as if I'm... two different people.

I see my dreams, but I see myself sleeping at the same time; the sleeping part is as if watched by simple eyes. It only seems to be there if something moved suddenly, which seems to explain my light-sleeping. Though this only happens when I'm not exhausted... if I'm exhausted, I sleep deeper and have worse dreams.

JQ, when I sleep during the day, I have demented dreams, too. It kind of sucks, I'll have to wait until dusk/dawn/twilight/night to go to sleep.

It also takes me quite a while to get to sleep.

I usually don't remember my dreams, but  there are couple that I have vivid memories of. The first is one I had when a couple times when I was younger. I'm walking through a pyramid, and after a few minutes, I turn the corner and see this cobra! It always bites me, and I immediately wake up. The other, I was being babysitted by that scary puppet from GooseBumps, and at first, it's ok, but then, it gets scary, so I decide to go to my friends house. I run down the street, and I reach the steep hill that is at the end. I jump ALL the way down, and land feet first, after that I woke up. It seems that when I jump in dreams, I can usually go quite a long distance. :o

For example, the one I had tonight was about me playing chess and losing.  :P

Every once in a while, I'll be lying awake in bed when I randomly start dreaming, but in spite of it happening so spontaneously, it feels like it wasn't a dream at all. Then I begin to walk around, and I either trip or fall off of something, and I wake up really abruptly. But what makes it even weirder is I feel like I actually fell, but landed in my bed. Does this happen to anybody else?

Normally, I'm a fairly light sleeper. But sometimes I'll sleep right through something big. I remember years back when I slept through an earthquake! It was supposedly a pretty strong one, too. But more recently, my mom told me that a helicopter flew right over our house in the middle of the night and hovered over the vacant lot behind our house, shining a spotlight. Then it landed up the hill from us. And even though it was supposedly really loud, I didn't know anything about it untill the next morning! Very weird.

I woke up during that...

I had this one dream where I was squeazing a kitten and it was meowing helplessly and I couldn't stop.  :'(

The other night I had a weird dream; I was at this airport thing, with two flight simulators. Two people would get on, and the rest would stay in a line.

Normal, right? Well, instead of the simulator turning, the entire building would tilt and turn, and there was a giant pit around the simulators, save for an area to walk into them. The room would tilt and shake, and people would get concussions and fall into the pit. Most of us decided to hang onto random objects to keep on, and people were attacking people for living rights. It was terrible... then they'd get two more people in the simulators.

Then I had another dream where our school was a cosplay school, and every day we went in cosplay. I was Kishin (Fierce Diety/Oni Link) because I was tall, and my other friends were Sylibus (.//hack G.U.) Ritsuka (Loveless) and Misha (Pita Ten). It was weird, a lot of my favourite cosplayers were there and I was like "...<3"

I think I like the first dream better. I prefer the creepy, sadistic, and weird games of unnatural selection. Hahah...

Last night, I had a mild case of that falling-into-bed sensation. I fell asleep, and I dreamt I was walking down our street, near the highway, with some friends, even though in real life I have no idea who they might have been. Anyways, I was carrying my camera by its wrist strap, and I accidentally dropped it! In my panic to keep it from smashing into the pavement, I grabbed for it wildly, and I woke up. What made it even stranger, however, was the fact that I was watching myself from a third-person point of view, which very rarely happens in my dreams.

Then I fell asleep for real and dreamt I could fly! However, I had to take off like a plane, meaning a running start, off of a ramp in our driveway. I could fly several dozen feet above the ground, but I wouldn't stay in the air for very long. Then when I returned to solid ground, I checked out a wheelchair made of bricks that had appeared in our driveway, which collapsed as soon as I touched it.

I have very strange dreams sometimes.

Trying to fly is nearly impossible in my dreams. God knows I've tried, but it reallly is impossible, even if I'm aware it's a dream.

Lol I can see Spooky running away when the wheelchair collapses, even though she isn't in the dream. XDD

Hmm... One night I had a KANKURO dream! w00t!! Here's how it goes:

Ok, I was on him like this the picture of Sasuke and Ino. Then, he turned
sideways and said, "Get off." Then I was sad and wandered around. Then I
decided go back, and he had a jacket on. Then I like, opened and closed it
and every time I did that he had a diff. shirt and jacket. And I said,
"Cutie!!" Then, I was sitting next to him, then I started falling asleep and
eventually I fell asleep with my head on his shoulder. Then I woke up.

Very wierd...  :o

Oh yeah, we're goin' to bed now. XDDD It has to do with sleep!! YAY!!

Alot of the time, when I'm sleeping, I'll get this feeling like I am falling of something high up or moving around at high speed or just generally doing locomotive things while I'm about to fall sleep. It's really freaky...

I ignore loud sounds instinctually in my sleep. We live right by a hospital, and that means ambulance and helicopters.

My little cousin lives with me so one day I woke up in the middle of the night and caught him in my room, trying to jam a pair of giant headphones on his ears- He was obviously sleep walking, but I thought it was pretty creepy  :o

I must have really gotten into my Zelda game yesterday, because for most of the night, I dreamt I was playing it! It was weird though, because it wasn't quite like the game... it was more like Link was in place of Mario in Super Mario Bros. It was very weird...
