Vaati was in a 3d game? that would be cool :)
ok then.. what if minish cap was 3d like TP
...You...read...my...MIND!!!! ;D
i really wanted him to be the main bad guy in TP
(i hope mentioning "TP" doesnt make this go to the about all zelda games area)
Well...you aren't talking about Minish Cap....you're talking about Vaati...and not about Vaati's role IN Minish Cap..I'll keep an eye on this and see where it goes....
He's not going to make another appearance though, he's not an invincible godlike figure like Ganondorf is.
I actually think that Ganon is largely overused and that another mjaor villian should be used more. Vaati is now dead and we can't do anything pre-MC. Veran and Onox are dead. Twinrova has basically been taken out of the series. Agahnim has had some references and minor appearances outside of LTTP (LA and OOS), but he basically matters little anymore. Zant died. The only major villains left are Skullkid and Dark Link, more so for the latter.
i'll change the text so its more fitting in this catagory... done.
they should remake MC in 3d ^_^ the minishes would still be cute.. the MC manga was so far off of the game -_-'
Except Skull Kid was just corrupted by Majora's Mask, he's was totally evil. I guess Shadow/Dark Link could be the next villain unless they make a new villain.
But the thought of a 3D Vaati is pretty kick-donkey. Maybe he could just be in a flashback from when he was alive in a new game.
Yeah, I'm gonna send this to GZ...
Wait, why can't vaati be in another game? He's way way way too popular to die.
Did anyone notice that the MM belongs to someone name Majora? Well, new villian, anyone?
....I think I'm going to cry....you are being sarcastic, right...?
No, I think that Majora was some sort of godess or diety.
There isn't anything that says it isn't possible.
Also, it's assumed that Vaati dies, nobody knows for sure. At the end of FSA you see a ball of black and blue smoke come out of the Wind Palace. Assuming that's his spirit. Not that he died, but that he's like "I'm gettin' the heck out of here!"
Ganon has died 1000 deaths, so what is to assume that a wind sorcerer would succomb to only 3?
Ganon only survived so much because of the Triforce though. Vaati doesn't have that kind of power.
What is the Triforce of Power? A meer plot device, an excuse to reuse Ganon a thousand times. But I am quite sure that Nintendo will think up something in order to keep one of the few villains to attract a fangirl base living, right?
Hehe...I wouldn't be too surprised if they released a game about Vaati's past...I can hear them squealing now..
Squealling like just about every fremo on the planet would (BOTH male AND female).

Ganon in TLOZ: "Aaargh, I'm dead."
Ganon in TAOL: "Why won't Link die, so I can come back thanks to some blood ritual thingy." (- Wouldn't know of any reason why that wouldn't work for the other villains. Note that Ganon doesn't have the ToP in this game, but still *could* come back.)
Ganon in ALTTP: "Aaargh, I'm dead."
Dethl in LA: "I'm a villain too! Why does EVERYONE always forget about little me!"
Ganon in OOT: "I'll be back."
Majora in MM: "The evil has left the mask. Guess where I'm hiding NOW." (- Just pointing out he/she/it doesn't have to be dead. After all, we don't know WHAT Majora is.)
Ganon in OOA/OOS: "Not again!"
Vaati in FS: "Hi & bye"
Ganon in TWW: "Give me a couple of hundred years! In the mean time, have fun with my evil that has spread across the world in the short time I was back."
Vaati in TMC: "*ring* Hey Ganon, mind giving me step-by-step instructions on how to escape from a magical sword's seal?"
Vaati in FSA: "Let Ganon do his own dirty work. I'm free and getting the heck out of here! (- That, or Nintendo will come up with another little plot device. Any idea how popular Vaati is? It would be cheaper for them to start using 10000 Yen biljets as toilet paper then to actually let him die.)
Ganon in FSA: "Smells like Vaati has been here."
Ganon in TP: "Still standing..... Oh, wait..."
Zant in TP: "Hedndndhednden Dedehndenden" (- okay, silly humor aside, there are thousands of ways Zant could come back, with or without Ganon's help.)
?? in PH: - only time will tell. :)
Those I did not post because I do not consider them villains an sich, due to them being Ganon's henchmen, rather than standalone villains with their own ambitions:
Twinrova in OOT: "This wasn't supposed to happen."
Twinrova in OOA/OOS: ''Nor was this."
Veran & Onox in OOA/OOS: "You'll be sorry for destroying us.....one day, when Nintendo needs a break from Ganon again."
Agahnim in ALTTP: "As long as there's Nintendo, there is......character recycling!"
I'd just like to point out to JQ that Vaati didn't die three times, he was sealed away in MC and FS and heaven knows what happened to him in FSA.
I think in FSA after Vaati was defeated, he didn't really die, he just gave up and stuck with the fact that at least he was free.
3 game appearances as bosses = 3 'deaths'. It's all the same, really. Death in video games is NOT real, people.
nintendo neglects their bad guys they invent >:(
Vaati and Dark are 2 of the most coolest vilains ever invented
Only because they aren't in every game. If they were, you would tire of them
You know what would be a cool charcter? Like there is some ultimate evil(god of evil or something) that is trying to break through, but the main villian of the game is actually several people trying to break the big evil thing free. And one of the villians, the strongest or something, has a crush on Link. :P So she is trying to turn him to evil, fighting on both sides to keep him alive.
*Ahem*
Majora is a dark, evil tribe that created Majora's Mask. In the manga, Majora was an evil god-dragon that was cursed into the form of a mask.
FINALLY! Someone else realizes what I have! *Gives Shikamaru a car*
The problem with any fictional series (anime, video games, etc.) is that a large number of them overuse the characters. For example, in anime, I prefer the characters that don't get all the screentime in the series like the main characters do. This goes the same for Ganon, he's largely overused. They should get a new main villian.
And also, that spirit wasn't Vaati's. That was Ganon.
I saw a movie on Youtube that used a GS on OOT to make 4 links in the same colors of the 4 swords links. I think having Vaati in 3D would be cool, but a new villian would be even better.
I would prefer it if said new boss didn't have a fetish for playing energy ball tennis..
I'm actually quite fond of energy ball tennis. I like to use an empty bottle. ;D
But I would enjoy Vaati to be in 3-D. He's a major enough villain to be in more than 3 games.
As for Dark Link... you guys know how much I love him. But I don't know, he seems to make a better annoying re-spawning enemy and a one-time boss.
Skull kid is not a boss, guys! He's a puppet. Much like how in Twilight Princess: (highlight to read; spoilers)
Zelda is Ganondorf's puppet. She's not a bad guy!
Majora's Mask is the evil one, not Skull Kid! He's just confused/being used.
Hey, perhaps the power from Majora's Mask could respawn into Vaati? That'd be one way to bring someone back to life, I suppose...
And besides, the whole 'big god/villain behind the villain' seems just like a cheap way of putting things to an end to me. It's a plot device that is ill devised and used when the writers have lead themselves into a corner from which they cannot use any other device to get out of. In other words, it's cheap and not so favored. Mainly because the motivations of this 'dark-omni-god' are never revealed and developed, which makes it pretty weak.
Yeah, I know a lot about literary criticism and usage of plot elements. So sue me.
Whocares > That's the manga's version. I don't take the manga as canon.
Licky the Swampert > Eeeeh, if you want to see the TLOZ series beat itself to death, then that would be a great plan. However, if you want to see the series continue, it's best not to use a "full out ultimate baddie villain ruler of evil & co.". First of all, it's nearly impossible to go to a lower level once you've hit the roof. Any other villain would feel like nothing to such a baddie, and thus would be unusable as villain in the sequels to come. Secondly, those kind of villains are never fun. They're poorly designed, have no intriguing aspects, and their motivations and intentions are either never revealed or good for a 5-minutes laugh.
As for the "romance" aspect: TLOZ hardly has any in it (qua main characters). One of the reasons I like this is because pretty much every other game has the philosphy that a boy and a girl can't be just friends, or merely partners for the time being. No, they have to get romanticly involved. I really don't get this obsession of people with romance-love.
YAY! Someone agrees with Zoidberg!
(Commodore should REALLY make a picture of this...)
How's this? :)Made it meself...have quite a few others too...
Anyways, I think it would be awesome if we didn't fight a bid God enemy either. Maybe we could have one that was just a war with another land or something, and you fight through a bunch of soldiers and such with soldiers on your side that won't be completely useless like they have been so far. The enemy will just be a normal commander.
They don't have to make Vaati a villain in a new game, since most of us are pretty sure he's dead, but they could make a game like Super Smash Bros. or Soul Calibur etc. and have Vaati as one of the characters you can play as. On Zelda Land, we had a conversation kind of like this. It was if they had a battling game with all the Nintendo villains and it woulf be called "Super Smash Foes" :D

i like SC ^_^ i liked Link in it
Maybe have an enemy that does stuff to destroy the hero mentaly, kinda like what happened to Haseo in .hack//Roots and the G.U. trilogy. But that wouldn't work because Nintendo is stupid enough not to have Link have a personality. >:(

Link isn't supposed to have a personality; it's unique in the way that you're supposed to build on his personality yourself. You become Link, in a sense; it helps you get closer to the game, which I personally enjoy about Zelda games.
And I'm pretty sure Majora's Mask attacked him mentally, in a sense; it's bound to cause some sort of damage to watch all your friends no longer know who you are, or to be crushed in front of you... over and over and over. Also, MM screws up the environment... happy go lucky mountain town turns into an abyss of snow and blizzards, the ocean becomes murky and unsafe, Ikana canyon has zombies and the like walking around... I'm pretty sure at least some of that at least freaked Link out.
Link already had done many similar things before, and he was rarely scared. But was he really friends with anyone besides Tatl and Skullkid? I mean one that actually tries to be a true enemy that you want to hate because they know how to get to you and destroy you emotionaly so that you have nothing left inside but rage. Majora was just being mean to everyone she saw.
Majora's a girl?
Could be. It all depends on how you want to look at it.

That post was... really off topic, though. I mean... why in this topic of all topics? ;)
(of course, so is this post, so I'm a hypocrite, but... hey.)
I must admit that that post was off topic, and will be warned.
I hear the majority say that Majora's a girl, although I don't really prefer to give non-reproducing things genders...
Link has had friends before, what about Malon and Saria?
Majora has been, and always will be, a guy to me. I saw nothing even remotely feminine about it. So, being a sapient entity trapped in the mask, if it's not a girl then it's a guy. Note that that's just my opinion.
And Link has had plenty of friends: Saria, Malon, Navi, Epona, Tatl, The King of Red Lions, Medli, Makar, Ilia, Colin, Midna, and of course Zelda. I'm sure there are others, but it's 1 o'clock in the morning. ;)
LInk has a posse now, Commodore? :P

Yeah, "Hyrule to Hell" I believe they're called. They'll mess you up.
Sounds like a good name for a rock band. Or a song. Like "Bat Out Of Hell" "Back Into Hell" "Highway to Hell" etc.
Yeah, the AC/DC song "Highway to Hell" is where I got it from. I thought it'd be appropriate for a Hyrulian gang.
...But we're straying off-topic somewhat. ;)
Well, I agree. It would be pretty cool to see Vaati in a 3D videogame. (Beyond pretty cool for me!) B-)

Anyway, it is unlikely to happen, since Vaati was killed perminantly.

That's what they said about Elvis, too. And people still believe the both of them are alive. XD But really, couldn't Vaati just get reincarnated?
That's what the discussion was about. It was exploring the possibilities of Vaati as a boss, and we were discussing some of the other bosses, namely Majora, to see how Vaati would fit in as a villain. You asked someone to change their name. That isn't even slightly related. Please don't argue, it's just one warning and the month is over halfway done.
We aren't sure if Vaati was killed permanently, though. Ganon was revived a few times.
You've got a point there. If Ganon could come back from the dead, why can't Vaati? After all, he was listed the second best villain in the Zelda series. If they're to reincarnate any villain that isn't Ganon, it probably would be Vaati, since he was ranked better than even Agahnim.

Its not to hard to be ranked 2nd best in a series with only major 7 villians (Ganon, Vaati, Majora's Mask, Onox, Zant, Veran, Agahnim). Plus Vaati was the only one to be featured in more than one game other than Ganon (but I'm currrently hoping for huge plot retcon to bring back Zant).
Allow me to quote something I said earlier in this topic.

If Majora isn't a girl, then thats kinda creepy. The final boss battle kinda proves it.
Yeah, you're right. Majora's Wrath was sooo feminine.
Why does it have to have a gender at all, though? It's a mask.
I have to agree. I don't think I've ever seen an in-animate object have a gender. (At least I hope I don't, lol)

Again, it just how people look at it. Some prefer Majora to be a guy, others prefer Majora to be a girl, and others prefer not to attach a gender. There's no right or wrong answer. Unless I were to say that Ganondorf is a girl, but that would just be me being silly.
I consider the being within the mask to be a female; the name, the markings on the mask and stuff. But like HNS said, it's up for interpretation.
I know, and it's fine. It's just that some people are acting like it HAS to have a gender. Such as the whole 'It would be creepy if it wasn't female'
It would be creepy if it WERE female.
And besides, has anyone noticed by now that the boss was not Majora itself, but rather, entities of Majora's possession?
Majora's Mask
Majora''s Wrath
Majora's... what was it now?
Majora's Mask.
Majora's Wrath.
Majora's Incarnation.
Not in that order, though.
A lot of people think the mask is female due to the voice while battling the Incarnation and Wrath.
in the manga Majora is(WAY before MM takes place) a big dragon
The manga isn't canon though;.
I knew someone was going to say that 8) . but its cool :) and i liked it.. but not the OoS one :-*

That's it! The first one who "forgets" Dethl from this point on......will make me cry. :(
No, seriously, Dethl is far more a major villain than Onox, Veran and Agahnim, and I'd love to see him return in a post-LA setting.
Oh crap, thats right. Ok 8 villians.
