Title: Hyrule Adventures 2
Post by: Gamefreak on July 13, 2007, 10:27:35 AM
Now, as some of you know, Hyrule Adventures 2 was down today.  However, I got this message from Jack this morning.

QuoteHey,

I completely forgot about HA2, and when I went to appoint Alpha as an admin this morning I noticed that there was a PHP error in the game, making the boards not work. Assuming the problem doesn't resolve itself on its own, I need to repair the mySQL file for the game, which I can't do at work. I'm going to NY this weekend (actually, heading there immediately after work) so hopefully I'll be able to fix the problem tonight when I arrive, or I'll have to wait until I get home Sunday

So if you'll all just bear with Jack through the end of this week, it would be greatly appreciated.

OH NO WAY!!! SWEET!! ALL WE NEED NOW IS THE FTP CODE AND WE'RE GOOD TO GO! ;D

Anyways, I felt that was a tad short, so I decided to edit. I thought for sure that Jack had completely abandoned us in the desert.  ;)

Good to see he's still alive. lol! And also, let him know that Alpha needs the FTP code GameFreak.

PS: Its been that way since late yesterday.

:P Figures he forgot about us.

Eh, we've all waited this long, another couple of days is fine by me. ;D

At least I'm not the only one experiencing the problems; I didn't want to be late for my reply in the tournament in case RG gave the results of Pabru's attack. :P

So much for Friday the 13th, eh? ;)

I don't know if I should hug Jack for finally getting to work on HA2 or if I should have an owlbear hug him for finally getting to work on HA2.  Maybe I can do both and have Rose hug him as an owlbear.

Either way, I guess South Hyrule will be open soon.  Which means more TP for me, which means Dual Wield L3 for Rose. :D

By the way, it actually went down yesterday, leaving me with nothing to do but watch Adult Swim and play FE 8.

Wait, I thought you already beat FE8, HNS. I mean, I was right there when you IM'd me about it.

>_>

<_<

I have no feeling either way in regards to HA2 v_v

My point is that he has ANOTHER fire emblem that he should be working on, courtesy of yours truly.

Nice catch Popo. :)
I see that Jack wasn't able to fix the problem... or perhaps he was just too tired. Well, I'm prepared to wait until Sunday ^_-

Yes, it seems all the HA2 members that weren't at TDC before are joining now to get news...hopefully they'll stay so we'll get to know each other better.

That's awesome that Jack remembered us, I was afraid we would never get HA2 taken care of...so many changes to be made..
Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2
Post by: Zelda Veteran on July 14, 2007, 02:58:37 PM
Right, I know. We were all talking about how it could be eons before Jack would make Alpha an Admin. Jeez, HA2 picked the worst time ever to lock up on us ???
Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2
Post by: MagmarFire on July 14, 2007, 06:19:20 PM
At least maybe the lock-up will help all the necessary changes at HA2 be made more quickly. ;)

Suddenly, Blanks struts across the room holding a pitcher of margaritas and wearing a lampshade over his head.

I was pretty panicked when I saw the big boldened Critical Error[/i] and Debug Mode splashed across our beautiful game, but the fact that JAck has promised to fix us up nicely with all that we've ever asked makes me happy to wait til Sunday. Besides, Sunday is Zendal's new riddle  ;D

Heck, this break even gave me time to rekindle my interest in Legend of Dragoon. Flipping love that game.

The Legend of Dragoon!? I love...that game...so much... *pants and drools uncontrollably :-[ *

Anyway, you guys don't think this WILL help get South Hyrule up more quickly, do you? It's high time we owned Gohma in the face! :D
Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2

It probably will, as we have Jack's attention now. Who would have guessed that a bug would actually improve something!! ^^

Post by: Zelda Veteran on July 15, 2007, 12:19:17 PM
Well, it should be ::)
edit: thanks. lol

And no, its not helping at all. In fact, if it hadn't happened, we would already be in South Hyrule, considering all was done correctly with the coding.

Yeah, it's still down...sigh...so which Sunday is he talking about, this Sunday or next? Because it's still not up...then again, he IS East Coast, so...*sigh*...

Nice entry, Blank. Love Legend of Dragoon.

Let's not start a fight here as well, guys...

Luckily, I saved Saber's story and such. Even the first few parts of JaR are safe. His stats and TP can be recreated easily though, I remember what he had.
Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2
Post by: Zelda Veteran on July 16, 2007, 02:00:33 PM
Well, now that I think about it, I also joined some other RP sites, and I could probably retrieve his stats and such from there... Although I'm not sure.

I have a lot of profile stuff backed up for some reason... But I really don't want to have all those topics wiped.

Imagine how empty my life would be if I could not force people to read all 38 pages of A Cloaked Goron Guard!  :'(
Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2
Post by: DW on July 16, 2007, 02:07:49 PM
Luckily the only important topic I've done WAS JaR...

Still, all the equipment and rupees...and we'll never finish the Grand Tournament!

Post by: Zelda Veteran on July 16, 2007, 02:12:56 PM
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! THE TOURNEY IS A MUST! I ACTUALLY WON A ROUND! I'VE NEVER WON ANYTHING IN MY LIFE!!... if we start again, I'm picking a goron..
Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2
Post by: Blank on July 16, 2007, 02:13:06 PM
If anything, this is going to teach me a good lesson.

Therefore, Saber, as soon as it's fixed I will personally see to it that you join ZV and ZF in reading CGG  ;D

Heck, imagine if this lockup goes right on through until Tayro gets back? We'll have made no progress whatsoever on anything during his absence XD
Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2
Post by: DW on July 16, 2007, 02:15:25 PM

I'm fine with missing the tournament. I got Alpha'd. :)
Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2
Post by: Blank on July 16, 2007, 02:18:32 PM
Would you say you got Alpwned?

I haven't even gotten my chance to face Tayro in the tourney. If it can't progress, I will die a little inside. But let's not jump to the thought that HA2's doom is imminent. It ain't over til the fat Sheikah says 'DOOM!'

...

Did I say fat? I meant uber.
Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2

Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2
Post by: Zelda Veteran on July 16, 2007, 02:22:38 PM
lmao. And yeah, HA2 is definitely NOT crashing. I'm someone extreme enough to pray over it :P

And yeah, I felt kind of bad for Saber. The one best suited to fight Alpha would be Rose, considering she's human, and has no elemental weakness. Then again, Alpha VS Sovelis would be a spectacular fight.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see the match ups. I'm already guaranteed to move on to round 3. :P

I'm fighting Orpeous, and his 24 HP. :P :P
Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2
Post by: DW on July 16, 2007, 02:24:28 PM
Hehe. I think you and Orpheous are gonna have a little spat over that...

Yeah, I got ripped off ;)I mean, in my entry post I actually said I didn't want to fight Alpha. I think a fight with Dogura or Rose would have been good...Maybe with Pyre. Although I fight him way too much. 8)Pabru is obsessed with attacking me.
Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2
Post by: Zelda Veteran on July 16, 2007, 02:31:14 PM
It would seem so. And yeah, you would have lost to me too, so don't even go there :P

Indeed, Orpheos and I already talked about that. He thinks his Life spell will save him, but my attacks do a minimum of 16 damage each, with Dual Wield. My Fire Scroll knocks of 19 HP as well. I have high INT, what can I say?

I think you and Alpha would be about evenly matched, though. You're the two most powerful mages in HA2.
Title: Re:Hyrule Adventures 2
Post by: Hi no Seijin on July 17, 2007, 02:51:05 PM
Polymorph turns the subject into a harmless cucco for three turns.  If the polymorphed person is hit before three turns are up, then they resume their normal form.  Unless the subject is hit with an L2 Polymorph, which doesn't break upon getting hit.

it was the first spell I learned. I've used my TP to get alot of deferent spells instead of leveling up one. I need Elemental Busrt or Explosion Lvl 2. I hate haveing to get a random element.

Darkin would definitely provide a challenge for you Sovelis. :D
He's got a good array of spells up his over sized sleeve, and he'd be great to have in dungeons, as he knows a few "Help the group" and "attack more than one enemy" spells. And if you don't have Elemental Burst L2 then you're toast against Dogura. :P

I suppose more TP for more skills in the tournament would help...but wait! I'm out of the tournament because I was unfairly Alpha'd! I don't care!

Yeah, that's going to happen to me in the second round. :P

You're the best qualified to take him out HNS! You have no elemental weakness! Try hard enough, and you'll be absolutely fine! :D

Yes, but Rose also has no way of healing.

...

Sorry to rain on your parade.

On ZV's parade or mine?  Because I knew for a long time that Rose had no way of healing.

ZV, you know JUST the things to say to give someone confidence. :P

Now, I'm just hoping that my Life spell worked. If it didn't, then... :-X

Mags, your position is probably the closest to mine that we'll find in the tourney. Your opponent may not be Alpha, but seeing as how it's you and not me, he may as well be him...

One week, boys. And the champion of Round 1, Fight 5 will be decided.

Who's it gonna be? Blank, the powerhouse nomad? Or Tayro, the junior mage whose power exceeds that of many elder mages?

Catch it on PPV, Friday, July 27th.

Also, seeing HNS get Alpha'd will be sweet  :P

If Alpha gets past you HNS, I think that he could win unless one of us stops him. You or me might have have the most chance to stop him, since both Rose and Sovelis have no weakness to an element.

While that is true, Sovelis, you failed to purchase the most vital spell to mages: Elemental Burst L2. Without that, I'm afraid its hopeless. We can only hope that the dice roll in our favor. I feel like a jerk plotting against Alpha :P

I still have one TP that I haven't spend, but I'm having a hard time deciding what to spend it on. Dogura definitely needs better SPI, but I'm afraid just one more stat isn't going to cut it. It will up my magic amount and my magical resistance... That could definitely come in handy for the inevitable battle with Alpha. Hmm...... I have an idea. If this works, I'll let you all know. ::)

what about Lvl 1 shield?

Hmm...so you have TP to spend then?

1. No Sovelis, L1 Shield only adds 25% to your DEF for a single round. DEF isn't used to resist magical attacks.

2. Yes, I have 1 Talent Point from growing to Level 10.

I would really like to get Dual Wield sometime, but I don't quite see how I can fit that into Saber's style. Unless he uses the sheath as a weapon in stat fights...yeah, that could work.

Why does that sound like a move from Ruroken all of a sudden?

Well, you could get Zora Spirit Lvl 1. That raises your SPI by one level, ZV.
