Title: Great news!
Post by: Pale Dim on July 19, 2007, 08:14:15 PM
I just found out that we ocasionally stop at places that have wi-fi, I can go online and meet with you guys! Right now, I'm in Rapid city, South Dakota, and the people here are friendly! Wow! They gave us a police escort to the Mayor's house, made today the official day for bike riders riding for duchene muscular distrophy in Rapid City day, and let us stay in an incredibaly nice hotel for two days, then we get riding again! I love this trip!

That's awesome! The closest wi-fi tower to me is in Nashville. Too bad it's too far away for me to talk to anyone on wi-fi. :(

Looks like you're about one third way through your trip.

That is amazing...you realize how great this is going to be to tell your kids about later on?

I wish I had the physical capacity to do something like that.

I've never heard of a wi-fi tower before, but that's pretty cool.

Where are you going to stop in Ohio.

I suppose you're past Washington, eh...

If you happen to be in the Toledo Ohio area, we can hang out.

Well, you get that capacity after a while, because you get used to it. My legs now look like oversized drumsticks! If you don't know what I mean, think chicken.
Well, we are going to stop for a new segment in Cleveland, is Toledo near that? I accidentaly thought of Idaho when I heard Ohio. No, we have passed Ohio yet.
And yes, saddly, we past Washington. Of course, I'm also happy. Rude drivers, women that looked like they climbed out of the Twilight zone and yelling at us, and men throwing chewing Tobacco cans at us. How rude! And to think, we're doing this for a Kid with Duchene Muscular Dystrophy! People don't care anymore...

I live maybe 20 minutes away from the Michigan border.  I assume you were near southern Ohio.

Yes, I'm not happy to admit this, but we don't have the kindest drivers in Washington...

I realize that.
Also, we finally went to the Mall of America when we stoped in Miniapolis! It was absolutly amazing! A theme park INSIDE a mall, funnel cakes, Game stores(Although they didn't have Alttp), etc. You name it, they had it!
Right now, we are in the Wisconsin Dells, in a church. Tomorrows our day off. Yes, I know. We're staying in a church. Big whoop! Wanta fight about it? Anyway, on that same day, we are planning on going to the Noah's Ark Water park! It's going to be soooo fun!

Can't believe they knew it wasn't stable since 1950, but didn't do anything about it.

Forgive me for being slightly off-topic, but...you gotta be kidding me! They KNEW about it!? :o

What's worse is that they knew that there were structural faults back in 2005, but they didn't do anything... How typical of the government.

Post by: Pale Dim on August 18, 2007, 12:38:30 PM
Well, let's give the government a round of appluase, shall we? NOT!
Anyway, we zipped right by Toledo, Ohio, which really upsets me, because Gamefreak lives there, but... now we're in PA, and this is the most hilliest, hardest, and most annoyingly humid area we've been through! I know, I know, I've lived here before, but I had no Idea about how bad the hills were until I experienced them on the lowest gear of a 30-speed! Wow! And you wouldn't believe the amount of time I spent cleaning my bike, after I went right through a puddle of wet cement!

Try going through Maryland and the Carolinas. Humid, humid, HUMID! :P

You resent the fact that I said that it's humid in Maryland and the Carolinas? It's not an insult, is it?

Err, no... Rather it is not humid solely there. Try Florida. (Where I was born)

It's really not that humid. Hot maybe, but not really humid.
Title: Re:Great news!
Post by: MagmarFire on August 18, 2007, 06:43:51 PM
Eh, I guess I'm not really accustomed to humidity, so maybe the humidity there was a little high for me. Living in the northern part of the U.S., I seldom feel extreme humidity.

Well, we are now in the last week of the entire trip. Thank the maker. If this trip goes on for one more week than it should, I'm going to set off a bunch of nuclear granades attached to my head! Because, trust me, if we pass our main destination, we would be n the Atlantic Ocean! And there are poeple on this trip that I wish would just up and die on an uphill, or commit suicide by jumping in front of a Tractor trailer as it zooms by! Honestly, these people are psychotic, clumsy, some are absolutly lazy, and selfish idiots. But, it will all be over soon, and I can go back to my planned schedule for summer for the last two days until school starts. And to make it even worse, my mother came along, and I can already hear the Grim Reaper calling for me! :-[ Oh well. At least I still have my sanity, I think.

Hey, is this gonna be in the news or anything like that?

'Cause it should be. I mean, not many people these days (myself included) would be that inclined as to make a cross-country bike trip. Where might you be today?

It's finally all over! And I survived it! There's no place like home!
There was a few times when we we're in the news. I was in one of the first broadcasts, when we were with boyscouts somewhere near yellow stone.
But anyway, I've got friends to get back with, I've things to catch up on, and the whole jazz. I feel so alive! So, since this is no longer needed, I'm going to lock this topic.

Aww, but wouldn't it be better to leave it open so people can congratulate you on your accomplishment?
