So, who already has the seventh and final Harry Potter book? I do, I just got it this morning. :)
I bought an illegal copy online. Here's the ending:
Okay, really, don't have it yet, doubt I'll be able to find it for a while.
I've only read about 4 pages so far *I want to start reading it tomorrow*, but it is already good.
Got it last night at midnight. I just passed page 400.
I got it this morning. I'm about ten or so chapters in.
Make that page 450.
I'm trying to finish it before my sister does, which I have never been able to do.
I'm trying to finish it within 24 hours. Looks like I might actually meet my reading deadline for once.
i never read/watched one harry potter book/movie ;)
BURN THE WITCH!!!

How are you able to post and read at the same time, Gamefreak?
Great skill. I could probably be another 30 or so pages further if I wasn't posting.
I have it. Haven't started reading it yet. Probably won't until tomorrow anyway.
Wait, why is everyone waiting until tomorrow to read it?
because that's just how i roll pickwick (http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p55/Commodore_Axilon/Forum%20Crap/cool.gif)
Seriously? I'm leaving for New York tomorrow and it takes about 12 hours to get there. I need something to do, man.
Go Gamefreak go! :D
yeah. go Gamefreak ^_^ . how many pages does the book have anyways?
759
Oh, and it's not that hard to read a book that size in one day. I finished Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince in less than a day.
Ironic. Order of the Phoenix is the longest book with 870 pages, yet there are two more after it. And its 758, actually.
I have the book right in front of me, Whocares. So, unless it's lying to me, it's 759. :P
I have it in front of me too....
Wait, I thought it would end on the page on the left side. 8)
You win this round, Commodore, but next time you will be defeated. *Without moving feet slowly moves backwards into the shadows*
it would be allot for me, reading hurts my eyes ???
Page 650
wow.. what time did you start reading?
Gamefreak, don't post until you finish it! >:(
P.S. In at most an hour and a half you will most likely have completed it. :D
I do I got last night around 11:00.;)Sorry I forgot to finish. 8)

Yay for me.
Something weird happened. I went to the local Wal-mart (It's a rural county) Not intending to buy it or anything, just there with my folks to get a new AC. And there's a table right there with 50 copies, so I buy it... I guess it's not too surprising, as the illiteracy rate of this county is fairly high.
Geez, 50 copies just laying there? That's odd.
I counted them all myself. This county is only like 25000 people.

hehe your quick. how was it?
I hope it's better than the last book, which was for me, a low point, as was the whole llast 300 page run through the government office of magic (I forgot the name of it...) of Book V.
The last book was book VI. ;)
I was referring to BOTH Book V and VI, and why and where specifically Book V was bad...
Heh, I don't even remember that much from the last book. Except maybe "woah mang snap killd dumbldorf."
Yeah. I got it. I was seventh in line at Wal-mart(my friend was first in line). They were handing out cupcakes and other freestuff. :D They made you get a red armband that said Griffindor on it that garenteed you a book. I asked the lady if they had different ones for each house. She said they did and handed me one of each. Everyone saw that and got every color too.I got really excited a yelled "I started something!" and since my friend was the very first in line he was out of there before he could get every color. ;D
JQ, could you buy me one and send it? ;)
I also confused many people by wearing a Gryffindor and Slytherin on one arm and a Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw on the other. I like to cause confusion. ;)

I ended up reading at Barne's and Noble for an hour and a half and got a little more than 100 pages read. I fell asleep from an energy drink crash. Then I wook up a few hours later at 10:00 A.M and started reading from then until 8 P.M.
All in all it was good. There was non-stop action.
My mom read the last page befor reading the rest of the book...I think I shall do that to. ;D
Don't. That's the ultimate mood-killer for a book.
No kidding. Why would you even ruin such a book like that? The ultimate suspense in this series is who will live and who will die, why would you find that out before it even starts?

:-[ i wouldnt read the end first either
I've been waiting for yesterday for 10 years now. It's great that I finished but it feels, odd knowing that it's the end.
Yes...hopefully she'll eventually write more...Maybe not of Harry Potter, but of the wizarding world.
its been going on for 10 years ? :-X i know the feeling of wanting to see what happened but being dissapointed that its over :(
For me it would be about 8 years... That's when I got my first book on my 11th BIrthday I believe.
I don't really read Harry Potter anymore... after Order of the Phoenix, I was sort of... disappointed.
(though the part in the movie where Voldemort struck a pose was awesome.)
YAY! I'm glad others agree that Order of the Phoenix was a disappointment.
Why was it a disappointment? I liked it. It's good to see that there's somebody worse at dating than me :P
It was a lengthy tirade. READ: one scene was 300 pages! If that's not bad, I don't know what is.
At least it was 300 pages of good literature, and not 300 pages of my sister's playwriting skillz.
Big spoiler. PM me for it.
Yeah, because you know we all want to have it spoiled.

That's what you mean, right?
Rowling is a great author!
It's all about opinions... Shika thinks it's good writing, JQ thinks it's mediocre.
But it still is better than the screenplays. XD
They found a copy in Oregon, they're going to buy it. However, my sister, being the jerk she is, is making me pay her back, because I get money for working now. It's so stupid, it kills her to do one nice thing...God knows how much she owes me.

I only on the forth book it's not like I'm going to remember it.
I already know that Bert & Ernie* die...
*Names changed by Shika to protect the innocent. The innocent are the ones who haven't read the final book yet.
God. Thanks for ruining that for me, Midna. I'll censor that before anyone else reads it...
Voldemort kills Harry and every other wizard as he dies.
And then spiders take over the world.
*shudders*
(No, no that wasn't an attempt at humor, that was the real ending.)
Nah, I'm only on page 27 because I was reading the much better book "Winter's Heart."
Its clean. SAIDIN IS CLEAN!
(cookie if you understand)
In other news tonight, Harry becomes a muslim terrorist and goes about shooting up his own school after years of a pathetic existence...
Okay, maybe that was too far into bad taste to be any funny, what with all the high school shootings...
I ended up getting it, gonna read it tomorrow..
I literaly stayed up all night just looking at the pictures at the begining of each chapter. ;)
By the way, even though I'm not done with the book I know the ending because I made a bet with my friend that that the last words of the book did'nt said [insert phrase].....it did'nt he owes me a buck. ;D
MOD EDIT: Really people, stop with the spoilers... 8)
It really isn't a spoiler if you think about it, I did'nt say how it was or wasn't used but, I'm not going to argue with someone who change everything I say into enbarrasing things.
All I did was remove the phrase, because it could be interpreted as a spoiler. Honestly I'm hoping Midna's spoiler wasn't true, because that ruined it a bit...
Well, I didn't see it before it was edited but, it is certain that the deaths happen in a very shocking way.
I'm putting a very big NO SPOIlERS in the title of this topic.
Any more spoilers will be met with warnings. Just like in the Twilight Princess board when it was created. This has been a huge event for many, many people, and spoiling it is a big slap in the face for people who have read 3,000+ pages just to have the ending ruined by someone in a forum.
i saw that spoiler last night.. but since i never read Harry Potter i thought it was a joke and not a spoiler..

Sorry.
I know that a bunch of people die, at least three of them being my favourites. u_u Just like [BLANK] in Order of the Phoenix. It reminds me of DeathNote's ending, where pretty much everyone died.
D': Poor, poor, *censored*.
Hey! I'm morning the loos of that *censored*.
Yeah, deaths really early in the book. Its nice and dark. Much better than the others.
Its really nice, because as I got older and my tastes changed, the books have too.
We discussed that in English one day-- the early books were great for us, and the books have followed our tastes as we've grown, I guess. It's kind of cool, though I don't know if the effect is that great; the older readers will hate the early books, the youngins will hate the later books. But I guess that's how it goes; plus I like books for younger people sometimes.
I know who minda means.
Well, Midna's spoiler wasn't completely true, although it still kinda sucked because it ruined a suspenseful moment in the book for me.
So yes, I'm done. 12 hours, 32 minutes.
I'm glad that I have what would, to a marginal extend, qualify as a 'life'. So very very glad...
8)That wasn't very nice. I'm sure I do this every day, JQ.
I always finished the book in 3 days... Extensive marathons ruin the fun of the thing.
(Translation: GAH! WHY AM I STILL WAITING TO READ IT? IT'S RIGHT FREAKIN' THERE!!!)
:(
I'm not even finished with the book, and my favorite character is dead! :'( Why, why did that character die?!?!?! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Probably because your favorite character suffered a fatal wound.
::)
I'm sorry, was that rhetorical?
I meant why did Rowling kill that character off? George W. Bush (I won't speak the name for the spoiler warning thing) was awesome. Harry Potter will never be the same without George W. Bush. :'(
Hehe. That sounds like another form letter thing Gamefreak can use.
i never knew that in harry potter, some of the characters get killed :-X
Yeah, there's a lot of death in Harry Potter, it starts increasing as the series goes on.
Oh please, by the beginend of the first book one of Hogwarts' teachers was killed. 8)
One death. Then it starts increasing as the series goes on.
Not to mention how much animal abuse is put in the series. 8)
*Seriously*
hmm i always thought it was just about a bunch of kids who want to learn magic ;)

yeah i guess so... i mean i see the commercials on tv.. i never really payed anymore attention to it besides that.. its weird
I might as well mention this, but on Wikipedia they have an article for just about every character besides ones than can only be described in a paragraph. Here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Harry_Potter_characters)'s proof.
It's much more complex, trust me, it's a great series. That's something you should read after The Diary of Anne Frank :P
Really though, the games and movies make it look so much more childish and simple than it really is.

Dude, why would it need to be the same? Harry Potter is over.
I think Keith Oberman said that there was a book 8. Apparently the interveiw is gonna be on theToday show. Apparently its not gonna progress the plot though.
Is there something to GWB? Or is that just a random name? PM me with who it is.
BTW, I finished.
>_>
What are you talking about?
No, of course I didn't cry! *sniff*
What would make you think that? *sniff*
Really? You're either a tough or heartless man then, because I freaking bawled.
Ya, I did too...
Anyone else crack up when at the end Mrs. Weasly said that thing to Bellatrix?
Oh yeah. What about the wide world of ear humor?
(These aren't spoilers, they can't tell what happens throught these. I think.)
'Ear 'ear!
Your Holeiness.
You had the whole world of ear-related humor before you, and you picked 'holey'?!?
Well you know one thing led to another and it just kinda slipped out you know?
i have it i have it .I think it is really good so far .
And then there was the suprise when the realized one of the Hogwart's staff members was really..... that was brilliant. I never saw that coming. Ever.

Hey everyone, what was your favorite character?
So you're not going to tell us what on earth you were talking about? :-*
And mine was Voldemort. He was flying, man. Flying.

I vote Teddy, I mean, srsly.
I vote for that one guy, that did the thing on that page with the other dude. [/Whocares-level descriptiveness]
Harry and Hermione are tied for my favorite character.
To elaborate on what Shikamaru said.
That Man, born in That Day and also known by the alias This Guy or That Person, is well-known among wizards of the world for developing That spell and his key role in That Incident. He is the unsung inventor of the catchphrases "THIS IS THE END!" (must be shouted when both battling wizards have not yet exhausted even a half of their repository of freak genetic abilities, absolute defenses and trump cards) and "...IF I DO THAT I WILL SURELY.... DIE!" (a statement so powerful as to twist the very fabric of time and space to ensure that whatever it is that will soon be done, no matter how suicidal, will produce no ill effects).
Though their names are similar, That Man should not be confused with That Man who is That Man but is not really That Man
That didn't really work.
Ummm, Itachi, you're quote shows the spoiler. Big time. :-[
I have it and I'm on like 160 something.
I finished the book in a day and a half. I'd say my favorite character was..... tied between Snape, Ron and Harry. Oh, and Dobby. POSSIBLE SPOILER: He is a free elf.
That was already established, actually. 8)

Umm...that was established in the second book...and I really don't think that's much of a spoiler...
It is, from the right perspective.
Alright then, it's been changed.
Can someone change Itachi's post to remove the quote. It shows the spoiler Commodore had whitened.

Well anyway in one of their recent episodes they start cheering, "Give it up for Mrs. Weasly!" at random intervals... it's hilarious. Since it's family oriented when they discuss it they say, "--- ---- ---- -- -------- --- .....WITCH!!!!" (Fill in the blanks)
I swear, that's one of the things I'll look forward to the most when the 7th movie comes out :)
