Metroid Prime 3 Corruption came out yesterday, and it is awesome!
Um, I can't say i know what this game is.... explain?
its a sequal to the metroid prime series
I still need to play the first two games, are they good?
yea they were okay, just the little bit of 3 ive played so far is better though
The Metroid Prime series are by far some of the best Metroid games EVER. Which is saying a lot for a franchise like them, they consistently churn out high quality games. I actually bought it for my cousin when it came out yesterday, he holed himself up in his room playing it. Once he beats it he'll probably let me have a go.
...I'll probably never afford Van Halen tickets now though :-*Oh well..
I really want to get this game. Besides, I really should get a game from my favorite series.
Huh I never really got into Metroid... but maybe I will now.
eh, its ok, but I bet its awesome on the Wii, it is on the Wii right?
yes, indeed it is awesome

Rather hard for it to be awesome on anything but the Wii, for obvious reasons.
yes, there is nothing like actually reaching for and ripping a shield out of a space pirate's hands
Sweet...
I've gotten 100% on Metroid Prime and Echoes, and both of those files that are perfect were under 10 hours. I'm a freak. I really hope (once I get a Wii, that is) that it'll live up to what I've been hoping for. If not, I'll be sorely disappointed.
I think it will. I seriously have not heard anyone, yet anyways, that doesn't think that Prime 3 is the best of the Primes.
I am still stuck in one of the first levels of the original Metroid Prime. ??? I am so dumb.
If it makes you feel better, once I reached a certain point in the original Metroid, I couldn't get anywhere.
ah yes, metroid's one flaw, each game has a dead end, i almost fell into one in corruption
but anyways, even thought metroid prime 3 has no multiplayer or wi-fi, the story has gotten better and a lot of aspects of gameplay have improved
What do you mean by these dead ends though? You can actually get into a situation you can't get out of no matter what?
actually yes you can, there are certain parts of the game that you can enter, but then the doors lock and there is usually a puzzle or an enemy you must beat, but if you don't have the required weapon/upgrade, you can't do it
I've never reached one of those points... As far as I know, only the game-boy game (Return of Samus) has a point like that. Just completed Metroid Prime 3. Fantastic game. I only have two worries about the game. My first problem with the game is that the new epic feel at the start of the game seemed out of place compared to the previous effect of a lone explorer that made the other games so special. Especially when there are already masses of shooting games with armies running past you released seemingly every weekend. However the game soon settles down and the rest is much more enjoyable and classic Metroid (Requiring more then being the fastest at pressing buttons). My second problem is... the multiplayer. Or to be more accurate, the lack of it. Prime 2 had a very good (While basic) multiplayer option. Taking everything back to basics, while adding in new ideas (Exciting levels, Interaction with environment, morphing in and out of morph ball mode to lose lock ons, sending messages to 'hack' enemy suits, etc...) just reeked of the classy Goldeneye experience on the N64. All they needed to do was add more levels, and continue to utilise the new ideas in the game (could you imagine using the grappling hook to try and yank the other player towards them or, better, ruin their lock on by whipping their gun arms to the right a bit, causing them to miss before launching your own attack and praying they haven't got a hack upgrade?). Surely the whole point of the Wii is to bring more players together, isn't it Nintendo that constantly talks about having a console to be shared for all? For me this was a good chance missed. *Rant over* Anyway, the game is very good, and I would suggest that you get it if your looking for a tense, well scripted, story based shooter that makes you use your brain extensively, then this is your game.
ah yes, i hated the lack of multiplayer as well, would have been a good wi-fi game
i hat the friend voucher thing, i cant get online so i cant trade mine, i want a samus bobblehead dang it!
Don't we all... ;) No, really... Just out of interest, I heard that there are certain parts of Prime 3 that change when the date is set to certain festivals (In a similar fashion to Prime 2, when Samus donned a Father Christmas hat at christmas) Any idea if it works? I'm too scared of changing the date after an incident with an old Gamecube and Animal Crossing... :P
