I don't know if this has been asked before or not, but I just wanna know what kind of game is your favorite, and I know there is a whole bunch more than I can fit into this poll. VIVA LOS VIDEOJUEGOS!
Adventure, aka Zelda. No question.
i'd have to say Turn based strategy, like Fire Emblem
I dunno. depends on my mood. As Davvy knows, the shotgun on half-life at full volume is very therapeutic...
Yeah, I like a good shooter as much as the next guy, especially Halo, it's awesome. Adventure like Zelda is pretty fun too.
Well, since it's nearly impossible for me to pick one without feeling that I'm betraying another, I'll choose multiple ones. :P
Of course, adventure games are freaking sweet. It's a given that I would choose that. I also really like RPGs, such as Kingdom Hearts and, obviously, Final Fantasy, The Legend of Dragoon, and Pokémon.
Real-time strategy games are also fun. I love Age of Empires. Great game series. Kingdom Under Fire is also fun.
I also find FPSs fun, even though my skill level in them is pretty shaky. I really like Halo. ;)
Finally, I'll mention a category not mentioned: TPSs (third-person shooters). I very simply just LOVE the Ratchet and Clank series. :D
I guess that's about it. I won't be surprised if I find out that I missed one, though. :-\
ah yes, R&C. Great fun. Except for reviewers claiming that R&C3 was better than 2. 2 was better. there was more to do. 3 was just more platforming.
Eh, I disagree. I think UYA was best. You know, there were more arena battles, trophies to collect, many more upgrade levels, multiplayer, etc. Plus, you can switch into first-person mode any time you want, unlike in GC, where you have to unlock it.
But to each his own opinion, I guess. ;)
yeah, but there was space fights and all sorts of mini-games... and not that damn hack thing that tottaly killed the pace of the game. And better guns. They didn't need the upgrades, there were just so many.
Well, I can definitely agree with you about the space battles. Those were awesome. :D
Hard to say, but I guess the adventure genre is my favorite. Followed by shooters and platformers.
Tactical RPGs like Fire Emblem. I plan on getting a PSP just so I can play three upcoming (in the case of one of them, already released) tactical RPGs.
I never found Fire Emblem particularly fun, since most of them are in Japanese, and really I prefer to have my tactical games in real time, keeps things going.
I love adventure games, but they need to have some sort of strategy to them, or I'll cry.
mine are war games, sports games, and RPG, I pretty much like them all!

yes! etna knows what i'm talkin about! High five!
i love fire emblem, great stories and such fun strategy
The only genre that I like that I can pin down is Racing games. Anything involving cars going at high speeds on tracks is usually guaranteed to be a winner with me. Unless the game sucks, of course. As for other games, I just like... well, the games that I like.

Well, Sonic involes a hedgehog running faster than any car. Just look at the latest Sonic game for PS3 and 360. So fast, it's hard to keep track of!

I haven't seen anything about the new Sonic games... but I really like Sonic Adventure on my Dreamcast. That game is awesome!
I wanna get the one for the Wii, but I forget what its called. I know what it is, just can't think of it right now.
"Sonic and the Secret Rings," I believe. Or something to that effect...
Don't get it now, there's a lot better ways to spend your money. The controls are confusing, the story is stupid, and it's generally a below average game. Maybe after the price drops some you could get it, but I wouldn't waste $30-$40 on it. It is one of my least favorite Sonic games.
.....
RAAAAAAAAAAH!
I'm going to give ONE warning!: Do NOT EVER call The Legend of Zelda or similar games Adventure Games ANYMORE! They are NOT Adventure Games, they are Action-Adventure Games! Adventure Games are games like Monkey Island, RAMA, Grim Fandango, Broken Sword, Syberia, Myst, Gabriel Knight and Sam and Max.
I hate it when people confuse my favourite genre with that hybrid genre. Adventure Games are my favs, but not ex. TLOZ. A close one is the beat'm-up genre. It's fun.
Well, I usually just call it an adventure game, action games in my book usually involve... more action. If Zelda had nonstop action, like my example said, Sonic, I would call it action-adventure.
You're constantly fighting monsters as you go from one place to another...
Except the adventures that Lady Nintendo is talking about are Point-and-Click adventures. They, I would say are the true adventures, done in a more puzzle-oriented environment. It's quite old school. Before Lucasarts was whoring itself on Star Wars games, they were well known for PC games, mainly in the P and C adventure genre. Maniac mansion is one of the craziest, funniest, and well known of them.
Monkey Island 2 anyone? Who knew that you could have so much fun creating a voodoo doll...
OOH! Blood has a funky voodoo doll. Hehe, poke poke poke with the needle...
I like Action RPG's like Fable.
Fable is LOVE!
And of course I like Zelda (Action-Adventure)
But I have my fondness for third-person shooters with a hint of platforming i.e. Tomb Raider!
