So, like... I went to the homecoming football game. For free. :D I worked at the concession stand... and it was pretty fun. I ran up and down bleachers with a giant drink holder attached to me.
However, we took turns, and then we ended up recruiting someone else to do it with us (why? I dunno, but our little Rinku decided to join us. If only she brought her costume, people would buy more drinks.)
My friends suffered from muscle trauma because the drink thing was heavy. XD; I was just... hot, because I'm the idiot of the group who runs around wearing two shirts and socks with their sandals.
It was worth it, though, I got to see both the Calallen and Rockport-Fulton bands play... and I got free food/candy and sprite. I also got to rescue some praying mantises and crickets from being stomped on. And I cried when I saw the wildcats' mascot... >_> I guess all south Texas mascots suck XD
Oh yeah, and I totally forgot about the dance and didn't go. D: But after being hit with a rock while helping clean up, I didn't really feel like it, you know?
It's funny, the second I started selling, everyone wanted something. o_o and one guy asked for my number... though he was just being a jerk. (completely unrelated: I also once wore shorts outside because I didn't want to get mud and water all over my Van's and pants... and someone drove by my friend's house and catcalled me. o_o (does this mean I'm hot?))
My homecoming isn't until this weekend. I'll be going alone(again).
So will i gamefreak... so will i
*has never been to homecoming or any of the associated dances or football games of my school*
I think my Homecoming is in, like, two weeks.
mines not for another month, I think, because we don't have a football team, so yea, we have ours during the basketball seasons.
We have a football team, but it sucks. So does our mascot. I mean, I like pirates and all, but our mascot is the cheapest looking thing I've ever seen...
Our homecoming came really early this year; it's usually in October, at least.
well, least you had yours, lol, I don't even know when ours is gonna be this year. I know during B-ball season though.

I thought you have yours in early/middle February. :-\
I thought you and JDog go to the same school.
I thought dogs laid eggs.
Anyways, my homecoming is soon, too bad our music always sucks, just the grinding crap, and they get after us if we grind, yet they are too stupid to change the music. I dunno. Should have fun with Jo anyways.

Not anymore. I moved away.
At least you can still keep in touch, I can't tell you how many good friends haven't contacted me in years.
I still haven't had a chance to go to any of the games at my school (go Buffs!), but hopefully the next homegame I won't be so loaded down with homework, I can go.
*feels like an idiot* What's homecoming??
I mean it's mentioned a lot but I've never been told what it actually is. We don't have it in England.
We do have a classical music concert called Divertimento!!! (How sad)
It's basically a big celebration of the beginning of the year, usually on the day when we have a home football game after two away games. There's a dance, and they pick the homecoming King and Queen.
That's what I was going to ask, TZ XD
It's a good thing I didn't have to explain. XD Whenever I do "social" things, it's to watch the marching band or talk about the opponent's mascot.
...all of our dances got canceled yesterday...
Well, that sucks... we usually have dances on Saturday, though... I can't imagine dancing on a school night. Not that I /go/ to dances.
I'm not sure if I said this yet, but my Homecoming dance is next Saturday. I hope I still have dance moves in my blood... ;)
If not, watch some Paula Abdul instructional videos.
i went to homecoming tonight! we won! it was fun...

I will too. Unless my date decides that he
will come.
i thought you were against dating? HMM?
There's a difference between having a date and dating.
Exactly. I'm just going with him as a friend. I don't want a relationship.
Oh sure you say that... NOW.
JQ, please. You make me so frustrated sometimes. ??? Not every girl out there is a boy-crazy sl*t. I'm not like my friend Megan who's a swinger. ::) I've never even had a boyfriend, and I don't even want one for a long time. Besides, I'm still stuck on Vaati, obviously. :P

Just wait until you drink a bit too much 'punch'...
We're just joking, by the way..
I drinked some 'punch' last night. I remember everything clearly. Including scaring the girls that were in here.

Don't ask.

Be sure to write me as soon as you get out of detention. :P
he actually found it pretty funny, so did the cop we did it to...
What is this 'party boy' of which you speak? Does it include much liquor and running through the streets in the form of nature? If so, BENDER'S THERE BABY!
That's genius...I would do it if we still HAD our homecoming..
yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!! homecoming pics :]
( they took me freakin forever to upload..)

I dont think my school agrees with anything fun.
"It'll distract our minds"
If you want to see a sports match at this time of year, it's standing in a cold muddy field watching a bunch of guys play rugby. I.e. Hurl themselves into each other. the other day they had to call an air ambulance because one of the guys on my school's team headbutted a player and broke his jaw.
Anyway, sounds nice.
wow...
why don't we have that in america!?
We do. Rugby IS a high school and collegiate sport. Just not as prominent as football.
Also, American Football is sort of descended from Rugby.
yeah, but we don't have jaw-bustin rugby!!
Football can cause bad injuries, too. Some players actually became paralyzed from being tackled.
EDIT: Anyway, my school had a video game trivia contest today at lunch. The questions were easy! (They even asked me a Zelda question! :D )
I just wish that they asked everyone the same number of questions instead of giving the seniors an unfair tiebreaker. ::)
Heck, some even get killed. Back in the 1890's, there was a popular tactic called the "Flying Wedge" where the players would form a wedge shape around whoever was holding the ball and charge at the opposing team. People got fatally wounded doing that, so they made the tactic illegal.
Yeah rugby and American football are similar, Rugby players dont wear helmets though. The scrum is the most dangerous part, countless people have broken their necks from getting it slightly wrong.
Anywaaay. I want to go to a homecoming its not fair, I'll have to force my school into holding one! :3
I hear you can do it with money--lots and lots of money. Like, say, £100,000. :P
Psch, is that all?
£100,000 is peanuts to me!
Then you're already one step ahead of the game. ;)
Now use it to bribe your school! :P
