Anyways, if you're here then you've probably come from the main page, but if you just noticed this and are checking it out for seemingly no reason, go read the corresponding news post!
... OK, all read? Good. Here's where you can sign up for our HA2 Character Contest. Just post if you plan to join up, and be sure to include what username you're going to join HA2 under.
That reminds me, you have to join HA2 to take part in this contest! It's to attract new members after all, and we're hoping you'll stay even if you don't happen to win. ;)
So, once you've joined HA2 (or before you join, if you want to scout it out first) you might want to click on the link that's under the description of North Castle: here you'll find a lot of info for new members regarding the creation of characters, as well as how to get more info on it. The particularly helpful topics will be stickied and will refer to the Traveler's Hostel, which is where character descriptions are traditionally posted and you can see examples and such. Also, be sure to read the Rules Set (available from the right side of the page), since how well you follow the rules will be part of your judging!
Hey, so what exactly is this contest, anyways? Well, what we'll be judging are three things: first of all, we'll be looking at your character construction, based on stats, backstory, description, and class/subclass. Regarding class and subclass, you'll be using three imaginary TP to "purchase" the talents you need to acquire your subclass: it's all in the rules set. You won't have to post in the class leader's topic, you can just put the subclass in the profile if you have the right talents (we WILL be judging you on that, by the way).
The second thing we'll be judging you on is your interaction with an NPC we'll create for the purpose of the contest. This will be your RPing skill, essentially, regarding interaction with other characters and being able to portray your aforementioned character's description and personality. Fun, no?
Third is a battle, actually a spar between your character and another NPC. This will be another test of RPing, but a fight. Sometimes it's a bit easier to RP well when you're fighting, and it's very necessary within the world of HA2, so we feel it's a very valid thing to judge you guys on.
That should be it! Unless we think of anything else, of course. The only thing that's absolutely set in stone is the character description: so if you want you can start creating your character as soon as you sign up, but you may want to wait a bit just in case a question pertains to you.

Well, the contest has been going on. >.> But it'll probably be extended. Anyways, it's up to the contestants to post their profiles in the HA2 Newcomer's forum and such. That's just about it... well, TheSpiderMaster, you've already posted yours in the Hostel, so you could leave it there unless you're willing to repost it all...

And, well... like I said, it'll start when we get enough contestants. And if that never happens, probably in a few weeks we'll get it started. But the sooner we have a good group of contestants, the sooner it starts. So join, people! And find others who might be interested!

But Gilgamesh is teh manlie....I know that Goncor, Arrika, Aureliano, and Sakiko are still pretty active, I suppose they're the main contestants.
