Should we get a Synthesis of Imagery/Graphics section here at TDC? If we were, it would most likely have the following features:
Tutorials to help advance your GIMP/PS skills
Graphics Schools to get that hands on approach to graphics that is lacking from online tutorials (tuts)
A Showcase to show off your latest works and get proper, non-trolling responses and criticisms
Graphics Competitions to see who the real master of graphics is around here
Signature Shops for those who can't make their own-- or choose not to
So, what do you think?
I'd tap that.
What you're saying doesn't sound too different from most of the stuff that's already in fanworks... Then again, that place is visited sporadically...
(Also, who stickied this?)
Sure, but I only know like two or three people here that can actually make graphics...
What if you made a Tutorial topic in FW and one of the mods stickied it?
The tutorial threads would be devoted to specific tutorials, DPM, so that members could better give feedback and ask questions if some steps aren't as clear.
Oh, and GF stickied this.
Yes,
I suck at GIMP, and until I get better, my comics are kinda... lacking, since I make 'em in Paint.
I could certainly get an edumacation in the proper way to make sprites.

What do you need to know? I could continue that sprite tutorial if need be.
Here's my way of making sprites: take existing Fire Emblem sprites and recolor them in Paint. Does that give you a good basis of what I need to learn? If not, then I would like to make original FE style sprites. Or learn how to piece existing sprites together in a tasteful manner. I haven't tried yet, but I'm afraid I'll burn my eyes out with the results.

Do you mean how to make comics?
Unfortunately, I'm not too experienced in customs.
Not comics. And I suppose any experience in customs is better than my no experience in customs.
I'm all for it!
Woop.
I suppose taping it to the board would be one way to insure it's inclusion.
Will scotch tape hold against the wall of the forum?
That's what masking tape's for, fool.
And it won't tear when you take it off. :3
we should have one
This thread has proved very useful. Voting locked, consulting Mother Brain.
And so, due to the creation by the Lord of Freaky Games of a certain new board, I hereby declare this topic unstickied.
Let's lock it, too. :D
