I'm surprised no one made a topic yet. Or maybe everyone else is twice as smart as I am and have no trouble getting the end. ;)
So, what did everyone think of the ending? Does anyone else think it's supposed to refer to Link's Awakening? And what about Linebeck? If PH takes place in the Dream World, what is he, or at least his boat, doing in the "real world" then? An why does Link still have the hourglass with him, but not the phantom sword?
Yeah, I thought Link's Awakening at the end. As for why Link has the Phantom Hourglass or why Linebeck's ship is there, I'm not really sure.
Linebeck is there because it would be cruel to make my favourite character never exist. >_>
But yeah, I thought of LA at the end, too. But... too bad ___ doesn't have wings.
Never exist? Didn't the fairies and big old whale call it "their world"? PH made me even more convinced that the "dream world" is real.

So, that makes me wonder why Linebeck is also in Link's world now. Maybe he entered the dream world once long before the events of PH. That's all the explanation I can give the ending.
I wonder why the whale had no wings. Th game seems an obvious reference to LA, so why doesn't he have wings?
Well, if he has his own world, maybe he can change his appearance? Plastic surgery without the plastic or surgery.
I thought of Link's Awakening at the end of the Oracle series. But he's just riding a raft in that ending.
LA is a freebie for timeline theories. It can be placed everywhere: after ALTTP, after the OOx games, after MM or TP even. I guess TWW is pretty much out of the question right now, due to PH. It's not that important as LA Link's adventure did not take up time or space in the "main" world.
The beginning of this game reminded me a lot of the beginning of Link's Awakening as well.
Well, I kinda think that Linebeck is kinda like the others(Tetra's crew). Except he was there. I think that the wind fish just erased his recalection of everything.
I like how it kinda includes you in the credits by using your signature.
