So seen how Christmas is just around the corner. What do you all want and hope to get for Christmas this year?

That DS bundle with the Special Zelda DS Lite and Phantom Hourglass. I need a Gameboy/DS, so with a nice special one and a Zelda game to boot, why not?

Also, Guitar Hero 3 or 1.

Honestly, I don't really care if I got anything in the first place. Anything I do get is bound to cause griping from my sister, and I doubt my parents are going to spend 300 bucks to get two DS bundles so she can have one too, especially since she doesn't even play her gameboy. Although she won't let me use it even though I DO play it and mine was stolen. I dunno.

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.

There, I made the stupid joke so no one else has to.

Anywho, what I want is a million dollars so I can just buy what I want.  A million dollars is probably a bit much, so I'll use what's left over to buy me a few tickets to places such as Washington (the state), Canada, Georgia, Portugal, the British Isles, and some other places probably.

You're not missing much by not seeing Washington. Except me, of course. and maybe Baka.

What did you think I wanted to go to Washington for?

What I want and hope to get are:
1. Xbox 360
2. All three Halo games
3. Bioshock
4. Hopefully a cord to let me go online with the Xbox
5. Some other cool Xbox games.
6. Pirates 3 dvd
7. Phantom Hourglass.
I doubt I'll get all those because the Xbox 360 is still rather pricey but I already know I am getting that.

Not sure.  I know the PS3 dropped in price some.  Not that a hundred dollars really make a difference to some people.

Also, a mixture of both, Shika.  You never know if I'll bribe airport security to let me bring toe nail clippers with me.

The more I think of some common household item that probably won't be considered dangerous, the more unlikely I think I'll be able to get on a plane with it.

Alright, I checked. Original 360 dropped, and they're selling one with more hard drive for the original price. So yeah, it had a price cut.

Well, I was going to get a PS3. But I realized the cheaper ones don't play the PS2 games, and the more expensive ones do, so I'm just going with the all so powerful Xbox 360. :D

Which plays neither PSx games.  So it's so powerful, now is it?

Psx games? Uh? what are those? :o But least the Xbox 360 plays the original Xbox games and then some...

x is a variable.  In the case of the PlayStation console, it can stand for 1, 2, or 3.

Asides from the one million dollars, I really want to get a hold of a copy of FE 7.  That one I might obsess over.

I wouldn't say no to a new dry erase board either.  Perhaps a larger one so I can take more detailed notes when I play FFTA.

I'm probably gonna get a cell phone. My mom gave me the choice between a nice stereo, and a cell phone, and I need a cell more than a stereo. The one I have works, but its so stone age. Anyways, when I do, I'll be on this plan where I get free long distance on weekends, so yall can call and talk to ZV! :P

For me, my Wii was already my Christmas present. Other than that, a DS (which I doubt I'll get for a while), and Phantom Hourglass...I really don't have my eyes on anything either. Except maybe for RPG Maker VX. But why have VX when you have the XP version already? Though I really do like the idea of a built-in minimap...but I already have a working script for that now.

There was this one Zelda poster that would look nice in my room.

There are about four Sega Saturn games I want, along with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and the Gamecube version of Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. Plus there are four or so CDs I want.  A Playstation 3 would be an awesome Christmas present, as unlikely as it is. I'm sure there's other stuff, too...

Well, I would like my parent's to get me an XBox 360 and Halo 3, but that's probably not gonna happen. What I will probably get is some cash and use that to help me buy these myself.
From my sisters, I'll probably ask for either Contra 4, or an all powerful guide to pokemon Diamond, becuase I've saved up just enough money for one of them, so I'll ask for the one I don't have.
One question: I have Wi-Fi in my house, can the XBox 360 hook up to that?

Get Contra 4. The Contra series is quite fun, but hard. No need for a guidebook when there's always gamefaqs.

I think I'm gonna ask for Guitar Hero 3 for Wii. I downloaded, that frets on fire (basically a VERY basic little game for the computer a bit like GH but you hold the keyboard as a guitar) and fell in love so yeah, dunno if i'll get it though because my dad doesn't agree with videogames much.
I'll probably just ask for manga/anime from my brother and grandparents.

As for things I would love but cant have. A PS3 and Assasins Creed for it. I saw the advert and call me shallow but it looks gorgeous.

As for me, I'm not sure what I would want.... Heh, I've been doing a fair bit of shopping online for a lot of things that my parents wouldn't or wouldn't be able to get. Most of them are rare/used/or slightly off the mainsstream.

But I got two things for my sister... The Simpsons Movie and the Futurama Movie. (Both are technically on preorder)

Though to be honest, I'd be quite happy with a few surprises. A wii would be a nice surprise (Brother already has one), but I might not exactly be able to play it that well... (vision/muscle problems, making using the motion a little... unsteady), It'd be good for my sister though, as she'd be able to play and keep a few of the GC games that were meant for her.

Yeah, you need Size matters before you play tools of destruction. Size matters was a pretty cool game from what I played. I have it, just haven't played it all yet.

One thing I want is for Dr HNS to change his name, I keep getting them confused and keep thinking HNS is double posting... haha

A better gift would be the ability to immediately recognize the difference between the four of us, and then you wouldn't have that problem.

Actually, I take that back, I got my ears pierced for an early Crimmus present... and to show my sister that it's not painful to get them pierced. (the second part kind of died... they hit straight scar tissue on my left ear. ;__;)

I jokingly asked to move out for a present, and they actually agreed. I'm not going to, though. I love my space, but the house is EXTREMELY creepy at night... there's a dog whimpering, the cat mewling (she's 18), and the house is just... a huge no. not to mention I cut my leg and bled on the floor.

I thought of something else I'd like to get for Christmas: A Sega Master System. They're not that expensive (they're about fifty bucks), and they usually come with two controllers, a light gun, all of the necessary cables, and a lot of them come with a bunch of games. My parents would probably be willing to get me one as a Christmas gift, too. The thing is, however, that I have no idea what games I'd like to get for it, and I also have no place to put one, currently. I'll have to do some thinking about it.

Umm... I really don't know as I don't ask my parents for anything, really... (To be changed if I think of something)

Aha, I already got two gifts for Hanukkah~ sort of. (as a note, I don't actually celebrate Hannukah; I just happen to be a Jew.) I got Loveless volume 4, and a toaster oven.

You see, the oven thing was hilarious. I burst out laughing.

Anyways, I just got a slew of presents to put under the tree, and I'm hiding my sister's birthday presents (her birthday is in January, and it's just easier to send both presents at the same time) in my closet.

For Christmas... eh, I don't want anything else other than what I've already said.

Oh yeah, and I'm only giving gifts to my dog Karma, and my cats. I... don't do the whole "gift-giving" thing for people, sadly.

But I'm saving up my money for a collar/harness and dog tags for Karma~ and maybe some cans of wet cat food for my cats.

I don't have the money to buy presents. I don't even have the money to get my license :-*

Anyways, at least you can start your toaster oven collection, you'll get a lot to add to it when you get married, trust me. I don't know why they always give those as wedding gifts.

I still have to get presents for 6 of my friends but only 2 of them have to be thoughtful, good presents.
I already have my Mum's and Brother's presents and I still need to get my Dad's.
Well I  say I have my brother's present but I just ordered it on the internet today.

Well, you can hope you get it in the mail soon, at least.

I got a bunch of presents from friends this week, but a few people I din't think would give me presents gave me some and so I had to raid my house for things to give.
We always open presents from friends before Christmas, my friend got me one of those candy grabber things, like a mini version of those mechanic toy grabber things you get in arcades, it's so addictive!

...I got a big box from my friend Ben. I know he spent 15 dollars on it, and everyone kept laughing when he told them what he got me.

Heh, me and my dad wen't christmas shopping for my mom today, and I happened to run into one of my friends there, and we chatted for awhile, I was unaware that I was suppose to be christmas shopping at the time... yea, I tend to forget things when I am talking to one of my friends.

Jdog, births don't just happen randomly.  Certain events must happen first; it's just that different events happened for Mary (looking at it from a Christian view, of course; after all, what proof do I have that Mary wasn't a virgin?).  Therefore, without those events that led up to the birth of Jesus, the birth of Jesus could not have happened.

Are you familiar with the Christmas story?

It begins with Isiah, believe it or not, for that was the first person God told about Jesus, even though he wouldn't be born for a couple hundred years. It really picks up about nine months before Christmas, seeing as how that's when Mary became impregnated. She was a virgin, and she was engaged to Joseph. So when Joseph found out his fiancee was suddenly pregnant, you can imagine how well that went across. However, Joseph shows just how great a person he is by leaving everything behind to take her out of Nazareth, to have her child somewhere away from their hometown, so she didn't get rumors spread about her. They traveled hundreds of mile's on a donkey's back, Mary getting more and more pregnant the whole time.

The big thing about Christmas, though, is that it was God's response to our sin. Why was Jesus sent here? To take care of our sin. God could have very easily destroyed us all in a firestorm, and he did that in Sodom and Gomorrah. However, in this case, he sent Jesus. That's what makes it so special. We just used the specific day because that's when he was born, but his birth isn't all we're celebrating.
