The Shiekahs are perhaps the most mysterious race in the whole entire Zelda Universe. There is very little known about them, and there are very few of them left in the world. In that case, I have a curious question: Is there by any chance that the Sheikahs, though some are obvious white, were perhaps also black, or to expand upon it, diverse? It seems that all one had to do to be Sheikah is have red eyes and have the psychic powers and ninja-like skills that most Sheikahs have. Other than that, it seems opened ended. So, in that case, could the Sheikahs have had darker skin?
Sure, why not? Creative license and genetics ftw.
Sweet, ftw. I knew the Sheikahs were black. Yay, black people! With red eyes! And psychic powers! And ninja-like skills! :)
Feh. Green people are so much better.

Um...yeah, let's go for black people.
Neither Impa nor Impaz had a particularly dark complexion, so...
I know that, but still, with no black characters, and the fact that little is known, they might just be a variation of many types of Sheikah.
And although others don't see it, Impa does seem to have this black look on her...I mean, her skin is pretty light, but there's just something sort of black on her...maybe it's the make-up or what not, but still...
The reason for the fact that in a lot of Japanese games there aren't any black people is very simple: about 90% of the population of Japan is Asian. They don't see an awful lot of black people there. o_o

And yet, most of the characters in Zelda look a lot like white people to me...oh well...
....Have you ever watched anime?
Damn near nobody looks Asian, they all look white. The Japanese love America, as well. o_o
and why not? If I lived in Japan, I'd probably find America very tempting too.
Honestly though, I have a hard time imagining them black if they stayed in the shadows a lot. Usually skin darkens to protect the person from the sun.
Two words:
Natural Camouflage.
I've actually seen/read some animes/manga with some black people here and there. A good example is the black cat (forgot her name) from BLEACH. I guess they see it as somewhat exotic.
In Smash Bros. Brawl if you do a smash taunt with Snake while versing Sheik, Mei Ling says "I can understand the clothes, but to change her skin and eye color? That must be some powerful magic." This indicates Zelda is using magic to change her skin color in order to completely eliminate the fact she is actually Zelda. If you were trying to hide from the King of Evil and could change your skin color wouldn't you? I don't know any Sheikah other than Sheik that looks black. If do, please share.
Super Smash Brothers-- the first one, Melee, and Brawl, as well as Soul Calibur II and ANY other non-Zelda game that features a Zelda character is NOT considered canon. At all.
Otherwise, good try.
Sheik never looked black to me, just really tan.
Dang it! Well lets just say Sheik's eyes and skin are Zelda's creation (which we know 'cause Sheik is really Zelda, who's eye and skin color is different) and that she must've used magic (no such thing as plastic surgery at the time) and that, unless you can think of any others, is the only black (tan according to COMM-E) Sheikah. Is that canon?

No. No, it's not.
Try again.
FINE!!! ??? Lets call it common knowledge instead of canon ok?!
The fact remains that Shiek is NOT black. She's not even deeply tan. She's the same skin tone as Zelda. Don't be silly.
And it can't be common knowledge unless it's actually true.
Look at a picture of Zelda and a picture of Sheik and then tell me they're the same skin tone.
Not to mention that Impa doesn't really look black.

Compare them. Now tell me their skin color was the same. Both official art from OoT. Thats certainly canon. HA!
It appears to just be very well-done fan art. Unless that's official Nintendo artwork, it's not a reliable source.

It
is!
Yeah, that's the official style, not fanart.
And no, they don't have the same skin, but regardless, Sheik isn't black. Maybe mexican, but not black.
Maybe Zelda just wore a lot of makeup and her skin color never changed.

Honestly, with princesses, that's usually the case. They're supposed to look fair, fragile, and weak. She certainly played that part well, all right.

Well, the picture that was in your post originally was different than the ones that are there now...
However, I would still only call Sheik dark-skinned, like someone who had a deep tan from living in the desert for a long time.
Anyone forget that their eye colors are different? What does that tell us?
It tells me that Nintendo loves watching us squirm...
In my opinion Nintendo doesnt think of all this when they make a Zelda game. They NEVER reveal the answers to our theories, they strive off of it. We're just making the game more confusing than it needs to be. 8)

Probably, but it's much more fun to think otherwise. Don't spoil it for the rest of us.
Lol, sorry. I just find it funny to think that maybe we are the ones who give them the ideas for their next game. You know with all of our fan fics and theories.
I've heard that Nintendo's actually quite skeptical about using fan ideas for games, so I wouldn't count on that.
Considering that The Land of Legend only uses OoT in the timeline, they definitely wouldn't want to use my fanfic ideas. Although Segment VIII and X would make quite a good fan game if I had that sort of skill and time.
(Speaking of my fanfic, get on AIM so I can tease you with spoilerific information, MagmarFire.)
