Lets start with this link (http://zelda2008.ytmnd.com).
Firstly, ytmnd format is usually used for a repeating quality, in this case the sound clip. I doubt this one was made by nintendo, but rather a fan-rally. Still, I've been looking deeper into this, jumping around to various forums reading thoughts and opinions. When this first hit TDC's front page, I was pretty shocked, but I brushed it off as a hoax.
Now, however, its intrigued me. When I looked back at what was translated "Experience the Challenge of Endless Adventure" I got to thinking- "Zelda online? Perhaps a WoW type setup, but with the races of Hyrule, and perhaps missions and events set up by Nintendo? It would definitely be something I'd spend over $100 on. I got excited thinking about the possibilities, and I began to wonder "What is stopping Nintendo? What is in their way that prohibits them from doing something amazing like that with the Zelda series?" I haven't come up with any more of an answer than risk.
A launch like that would definitely cost a lot of money, all for a risk. And if the project flopped, and they brought no money in from it, it would be marked as an epic failure, and would shame the name of Zelda. Nintendo hasn't had a problem taking risks in the past though. Look at the past three games on the GCN. Mario with a waterjet. Samus with a first person visor. Link, in cell shaded colors. If they were willing to risk it then, why not now? I seriously hope this isn't a hoax, and I'm really looking forward to whatever this might develop into. Anyone have any thoughts, or information?
I somehow doubt that Nintendo would announce a new project on ytmnd.com. Also, it seems a tad bit too soon for any news on the next Zelda game. If anything, it's a fan game.
And why won't Nintendo make Zelda a MMORPG? I believe Miyamoto was once quoted as saying "I could make Halo." A GameInformer reader brought this up and called Miyamoto out on it (GameInformer October 2007). GI responded by essentially saying that Miyamoto chose to make his games a certain way, and that choice paid off for him, Nintendo, and the gaming public.
So don't get excited over an official Zelda MMORPG; it's probably not going to happen. If it's a Zelda MMORPG you want, look for a fanmade one.
Think about it though--Maybe they did it that way simply because it wasn't expected. Perhaps this is something they've been working on in secret for a long time.

Just because you killed off Dogura in your storyline? That is not acceptable even as a lame excuse. Alpha didn't kill Dogura and/or Fang in FoG VIII yet, so you can go back there and finish what you started. Come on, Part VIII has been going on for more than a year now. Get over to HA2 and at least post there before Alpha has to get up and yell at you.

And thats because in an MMORPG you don't have to have a storyline, you don't have to calculate your own attacks, and you aren't pressured by deadlines or other players to join their own story.

If Zelda went WOW style then I too would be willing to pay over $100 for it. An endless atventure does sound like an mmorpg
Could you imagine...if it became on MMO, you could join tons of Kokiri fighting to keep the forest safe from a massive Deku Scrub invasion....
Or you could be a Deku Scrub protecting your land from the Kokiri. ;3

Would be nice and all.. But.. That would make the people working with Zelda all busy.. And games would come out less frequently.. AND (not necessarily) not as good as detailed/good as the other ones.
Plus it would give the word Zelda a whole new meaning.
But that could be Miyamoto's Zelda finale. He wouldnt NEED to make anymore Zelda games. You might have to pay monthly fees like with WoW but he would be set. This would be a HUGE step foward in Zelda and I love that idea of no storyline just an Endless Adventure.
Endless adventure could be everything, not just MMORPG. ;) And besides there are other hidius voices that say the ext Zelda will be a FPS. :P Which I doubt.
