Which game do you guys think is better? I for one like them both a lot. But I'm going to have to say Call of Duty 4, its more relistic(spelled wrong, too lazy to think).

anyways, yea, call of duty 4 is so much more better than halo 3. The thing about halo 3 is though that it has awesome graphics, new features, and an amazing story lines. But I still must say Call of Duty 4 is much more awesome.
Didn't you just get both? Isn't it a bit odd that you're making a general assumption before you've had a chance to really have time with either?
Oh well, I don't really care for games now anyway. There are just way too many FPS's on the market, and way too many MMO's as well.
I miss the days where we didn't have to SQUINT to play a fun game (they need to release an add-on for wii so we can have DS games in full size).
Yea, I just got them. But I am more than half way completed with Call of Duty. and I have played my friends version of Halo if you don't remember me saying that somewhere around here. But yea, I'm not too far in my halo file yet, but thats only cause I've played like 10 hours of Call of Duty 4 today. lol
How is CoD 4 better than Halo 3, though? And where's the "but" statement? "The thing about Halo 3 is though that is has awesome graphics, new features, and an amazing story lines," but what? What's keeping Halo from being better than Call of Duty? Reasons, man, reasons!
Also, JQ has a point. How can you give a fair judgment if you just got both games and didn't play both of them equally (in terms of completing the game) yet? It's like skimming through the table of contents in a Harry Potter book and immediately saying you don't like it.

Jdog, you're assuming that most of us here have a PS3 AND a 360, AND both of the games. We aren't all spoiled only children.
Honestly, I would have to go with CoD, as every CoD game I've played has outstripped Halo by far. This is simply because Halo has very primitve FPS gameplay, and it's incredibly cheap how overpowered you are. CoD actually makes it useful to be strategical instead of going in guns blazing like in Halo. And if you can't tell, I'm more of a strategical guy than a button masher.
Or have principals and/or dentists for parents.
Also, the Halo storyline didn't really appeal to me that much. It seemed like another 'only one can save the world' kind of deal. That kind of annoys me for some reason. I don't mind when it's 'only one group' or 'only one plan' because that require teamwork. However, just being an overpowered juggernaut doesn't appeal to me.

Anyways, I'm not much of an FPS fan. And when I do play them, I usually only play them on the PC because I like the controls.
That said though, I cannot comprehend what makes Halo such a great series. It's the same formula for every shooting game. Shoot x. X can equal:
A) Aliens
B) Zombies
C)Nazis
B)Terrorists
Yes, I know that Halo has a good story, but I doubt that's why it's one of the most popular games in existence.

... I personally prefer CoD4, though, for the same reasons as Shika. I can't stand just shooting things... I need a nice, unique storyline or at least some strategy.

I'd have to put my vote for Halo 3, mainly because when i played COD4, there was a gun shooting me when it wasn't pointed anywhere near me.

It's not just that, the combat system isnt even that great, i just don't like it when the guns in a shooter are glitchy

anyways. Quick question: Is there away to save campaign mode on two players? I did that, and for some random reason, it did not save and me and magamrfire had to start all over.

The reason might not be as random as you think. It could have been human error. Are you sure you followed the proper saving procedure?
I don't think there was a saving process. I think its one of those auto save games, but idk why it didn't.

One, make sure you have to manually save the game.
Two, you have no reason to yell at Tacheon. He was just making a small correction (albeit a correction he shouldn't have to make). He wasn't rude about it, so yelling at him for it was not an appropriate response. The appropriate response would've been, "Oh, that's right. Thank you for pointing that out to me, JB. I'll keep it in mind from now on."

anywho, when I wen't to the start menu, the odd thing was, there was only a leave game, resume from last save point or whatever, and settings. I wen't into settings, no save feature. I find that odd that there wasn't a save feature.
That is odd. I suggest checking again to make sure it wasn't just human error at work, then I'd ask around and check other people's games to check to see if it's an actual thing. Know what I meenz?

I gotta go with CoD4. I mean... idk, the campaign is simply stunning. Like... I wouldn't know what to compare it to, honestly, but Halo 3 did not have that. My only problem with CoD4 is that I haven't really played online yet. I did play a little today, but only like one game, then I lagged out. <.< My internet connection has been terrible as of late.
That being said, Halo 3 is still pretty great. I spend ALL of Wednesday playing it. Like, all. And I never got bored. However, this was online only, with friends. (Personally, I hate playing online without at least one friend.) To me, any game you can spend all day straight playing is a great game, but it was mostly for the laughs. And laugh we did.
In the end, I choose Battlefield 2142. ::) I mean, CoD4. It's just a quality game, much better than Halo 3, more innovative, etc. etc. CoD is really a great series in general, I was in no way surprised that CoD4 turned out so good. Just wish I could get into online a bit more...

Well, I sadly haven't played either online yet, on acount that I can't get the online connection to work yet.
It would be a burn if KP could learn how to show when he's only joking around.

I have some joking ability, and I'm usually good at showing when I'm joking. KP has some joking ability, but he's not so good at showing when he's joking (here's a hint: wink). You, on the other hand, just down right suck at joking.
I don't think you're "good" at showing when you're joking, I think it's just that everyone but you takes things a jokes unless proven serious. You, on the other hand, choose to interpret everything as hostile towards you. So maybe you should start seeing things as jokes, first, and then maybe there wouldn't be any problems.
Also, both games are essentially worthless without online play. CoD4's campaign is great, but short, and Halo 3 is just bleh. Get online ASAP, or you'll find yourself without a reason to like either pretty soon.
