Title: Outspark and Maplestory
Post by: Rinku on December 29, 2007, 12:04:09 PM
I just started playing Secret of the Solstice for lack of anything better to do and it seems alright (I'm too annoyed to play Runescape right now). Anyone play Maplestory? Is it any good?

Maple Story is incredibly boring. No strategy other than hold down the attack button and go buy more powerful stuff. It's...boring to me. My friends, however, don't like having to think about anything and just wanna kill things, so they love it

I was told Maple Story would be a waste of my time.  Tayro Wind is a very reliable source of information for me, so needless to say I didn't waste my time.  Now if I only had asked him about Adventure Quest before I signed up.

By the way, if you see an ad for Adventure Quest, ignore it.  I bet that one D&D Tactics game for the PSP is better.

 ;) I admit I play Adventure Quest every now and then- I actually signed up for it the first month they launched or so, so playing the game was ingrained into my very impressionable former middle schooler mind. I realize how boring it is now, though, and I think the last time I played was last month.

Secret of the Solstice seemed okay at first but it seems all you do is train til you can change classes (Thief-->Rogue needs lvl 66 I think... which is near impossible...) and do quests. Bleh... need something else to play... someone suggest something good, kay?

An online game?  I got nothing for you.

However, the Game of the Month for GameInformer is Crysis.  Got a fancy 9 and all that.  Of course, that requires money, and you probably want something free.  So yeah.  I got nothing for you.

Yea, cuz if I had money, I'd have gotten me an Xbox360, Guitar Hero 3, Halo 3, Call of Duty, Bioshock, *blahblahblah*. lol I joked to my mom, "You can get me an Xbox360 if you want." She gave me a look that was a cross between  >:( and  :o, as if I was totally serious and she was going to hit me for even thinking about having her spend more than twenty bucks on me.

Friend Ben is obsessed with Maplestory. Then he got mad at the designers for making a patch with ridiculous rules and stuff. Then he joined again.

It's like crack, from what I've heard from him. And he calls me obsessed with whatever game/character/show I'm thinking about at the time. I can stop playing the game at anytime! I'll stop tomorrow, yeah... tomorrow...

As for suggestions, Silent Hill is only 30 dollars used... it's pretty good. o: I suggest the 2nd game, it's got good storyline... and it's pretty scary (of course, it's got some xxx rated stuff in the apartment complex... and the hospital, I think). ;3 and easier to find than the 3rd (which makes more since if you play 1, anyway). If you don't want that scary, go for 4. ^^;
