I was verbally given a list of chores by my stepfather earlier today, until I asked something that set him off. He had never upbraided me over the question until now, so I found it odd for him to do so. I had asked "What?" He immedietly and angrily replied with this brilliant comeback: "What is what? What is practically unexistant."
Having a rather lax personality - especially when speaking to a 6'5'' man - I corrected myself by asking "Come again?"
Should I have corrected his butchering of the english grammar in a calm, soothing voice, or did I react properly? I just wanna see what you guys would have done in my place...
NOTE: My stepdad is not only 6'5'', but has been in the army for 20 years and is currently a 1st Sergeant, no doubt making him a very intimidating man.
I would have let him have it. Then again, I'm stronger than Chuck Norris, Robocop, and Captain Planet put together. You may not have that privilege.
Pic or it never happened, Saber
Yeah, that pretty much would be suicide. At least he didn't beat you.
I could take him, i'm an acient warrior who was too strong he got put into a steam powered suit built by the amish
He sounds kinda scary. :-X
I probably would have done what you had. I don't have powers like Shika. I'm not that special yet. :P
I'm absolutely terrified of being hit. I flinch when people go to pick up a pencil or something.
I think that answers your question.
I have the oppsite problem, whenever I feel someone making a sudden move I go into, howwould you call it... a fighting stance, and I usually end up hitting someone.
It wouldn't be the first time that has gotten me in trouble...
And I also have no problem in being arrogant to people that are supposed to have higher status than me (teachers, parent, etc.), so maybe I would have marked your stepfather's error, or maybe it's just because I would do so with my stepfather (and just maybe because I'm 6'2")
