Alright, we had auditions for Midsummer Night's Dream today. I thought I blew it, cuz nobody called me afterwards like they said they would if I got a part. But just a few minutes ago (It's 10:47 now) I got a call saying I was Flute. This guy has to play a woman's part. I'm honestly very excited--This is the first time I've had a major comedy role. In Anne Frank, I was a serious character, and in Brigadoon nobody even knew my name. AND it's in Shakespeare!
I'm still trying to upload Brigadoon, by the way, and I plan on uploading Midsummer when it's done. If I can. Would you be interested in seeing it?
I definitely thought this thread would be about something else. However, I'm torn between voting "Yes" and "Ni!"
Anyways, congratulations on getting the part!
I want to see it, Saber. I want to see if you actually have fake nails.
Jokes aside, this roll will give you more experience in the acting field. John Travolta did it in Hairspray.
Hurray for Saber!
And I had to go with the HA2 comedy option. :P
Aww, I thought this was going to be your coming out as a transvestite thread, Shika. :P
Anyway, that sounds pretty awesome. I'd certainly like to see it.
Ni!
@Aureliano: Man, I'd be pretty cheesed if you compared me to John Travolta. I hope Shika's a bit more composed.
I thought we would have picture of you, I imagine you to be like Grayson Perry's Grace.
Anyway Well Done!
I was Hermia in Midsummer when I was about 7 or 8 I think, I had to hold Lysander's hand, he was all slimy.
You guys did the entire play when you were seven? :o
And yeah, there'll be a lot more than hand holding in this production...and they probably cut out all the insults pertaining to the color of their skin in your version as well.

Sure!
Oh and don't worry, this one boy at my school wore a dress on the last day of sschool ast year. ;) As for me, I'm wearing boy clothes right now. ;D I really am!
Yeah, but it's not as strange for girls to wear boy's clothes as the other way around.

I don't think the brits have reason to be so obsessively politically correct about race as we americans do.
They're the better of it, because everyone laughs, but over here, everyone just gets pissed off.
I know, we can keep jokes about height and stuff, but not the jokes about how one of them has 'fairer' skin. I think it's stupid. It's not like we're saying one race is superior; In fact, they're both the same race, just one is pale and one is tanned. Stupid...
Guess how many school Boards have decided to ban Othello. Go on, guess.
Congrats on coming out Shika :P
Our school did that in the beginin of the year, but i refused to try out for i was hoping for the theater director to pick Godspell

I honestly can't remember what was in it. I just said what was on the script. I mean it definitely wasn't the original words from the play because I've read it but it was 8 years ago my memory sucks.
Well, we performed over the weekend, and I was ecstatic. We got amazing reviews, all of them saying our performance was unforgettable and giving us more than ten out of ten for acting. We perform three more times this weekend, then that's it for Midsummer.
Also, today, we had auditions for our next play, You Can't Take it With You. Tonight, I got a call again--This time I'm the lead role. :-[I know nothing about the play though...
Congtatz Drugario Shika! I hope you can play this play good (the russian style of typing isn't really working ::)) Gratz anyway. Ni!
I'd love to see it. ^-^
Well done! You must be very talented!
Good luck with the next one!
If you were considered to be a lead role in another play, your previous performance must've had quite a bit of distinction! Excellent work, man! :D
Alright. Midsummer ended last night, I'm really tired. We got Brigadoon successfully loaded onto the computer, seeing about getting it on Photobucket or something. Don't wanna put it on YouTube because of copyright issues.
Midsummer is being sold on DVD, I will try to get that up as soon as possible as well.
