Okay, so we have a local aquarium. An art teacher said that they would need a drawn mascot for the brochure.
I was the only one who volunteered... and since I make fursuits/costumes, I volunteered to also make the costume.
The manager of the aquarium just called; he's very impressed with Oliver the Otter, who was the mascot I drew. Unfortunately, since there's no otters in Rockport, they want me to design and draw another one, like a redfish or a sea turtle or a dolphin.
... And then they'll pay me to make it, which is probably the best part. I'm probably not going to be the one in the costume at the aquarium (only 15, need to be 16, I think, and I'm like... covered in work) but I will be credited in the newspaper and brochure.
Also, Robbie the Rabbit, Wolf Link (only partial, unfortunately), and Windfish are going up to the San Patricio County Fair. I myself won't be going, I have school, it's on my sister's birthday, finals, etc.... but I know that ZV might be able to go on Saturday to the actual fair. :3
But, yeah, I'm really excited about the mascot and about the fair... ;0;
All of that sounds so awesome!
Pfft, fame is sooooo overrated. Being famous is much better, trust me.

No, it's actually on... the 26th. It's in Sinton, though, which isn't really that far from Cibolo, I don't think.
Like I said, I'd really go myself (especially to model Robbie and Link to win like... fifty bucks) but I don't really have much choice on the matter.
And I've finished drawing Ridley the Turtle for the aquarium. I'm also sending Rojo the Redfish with him so they can decide if they want a fish or a turtle.
... But man, I hate drawing scales now. u_u

Named after Ridley Scott, the director? Or Ridley, primary antagonist of the Metroid series of video games? Either one is awesome.

Actually, it's a Kemp Ridley Sea Turtle. ;3 And yeah, I named him Ridley after the turtle. u_u And... Rojo is Spanish for red, and that's why the redfish is named so.
And I fixed the link, hopefully it works... photobucket's being mean, so I linked to the picture on deviantART. >_>
After I finish Rojo the Redfish, the two plushies someone paid me for, finals next week, and Robbie, I should get to work on LttP pictures, so... >_> It may be a while yet, but hopefully it'll turn out well.
I'm getting new pencils tomorrow, too, so I don't have to bother about my green mucking up.

Okay, so Wolf Link, Robbie the Rabbit, and my dearest painting, the Windfish, are at the San Patricio County Fair.
Unfortunately, the day before they were shipped off, as I was finishing up the Robbie costume and packing it... the zipper broke. >: So he's being displayed as more of an open jacket than... well, a costume. Also, I didn't add the buttons or tail to the costume yet...
And Wolf Link has no teeth. they won't notice... >_>
As for Windfish, I painted it about a year ago. I just entered him because I like him a lot.
