Title: Sasquatch Is Real (Not Kidding)
Post by: TP Zelda on January 27, 2008, 05:17:48 PM
The UFO topic reminded me of the subject of Bigfoot (AKA Sasquatch)

Does anyone have any opinions?

My Uncle Artie swears he saw Bigfoot about 15 years ago. He was working in a mine in Idaho, that was in the woods. One night, when his truck was broken down, he had to walk home from work. It was about a five-mile walk, through the woods, very dark. There was a river running beside the road. As he walked along, he saw movement by the river bank. He looked and saw something bent over drinking. Then as he got closer to it, it stood up. He said it stood up... and UP... AND UP. There were elderberry bushes growing beside the river that were about 7-feet tall, and when this thing stood to its full height, the tops of the bushes reached to its chest. His hair (what little he has), was standing on end, and he couldn't believe his eyes but he just kept walking. He really wanted to RUN, but he had a very strong feeling that running would be a BIG mistake. He forced himself to walk calmly, and the thing (whatever it was), kept pace with him the entire way home (all five miles or so). He ran in and locked the door, and has been a true believer ever since.

THE END.

I wonder...are there bears in Idaho?

Yeah, but I think Uncle Artie (who hunts ALOT) would be able to tell the difference between this thing and a bear. He said it was definitely humanoid in its characteristics. it was just UBER tall. And when it kept pace with him it walked like a human.

Well, it could've been Smoky the Bear.

He has to be sure there are no forest fires. It's his job.

Also, it's not that I don't believe in Bigfoot, I just... don't believe people who say "I SEED HIM!!! 1!" No offense to your uncle.

If you were to catch something like the Elmendorf Beast (http://www.unknowncountry.com/news/?id=4258), well, then I'd be more convinced of it's existence. I mean, we do find new species of animals just about every week. Hell, we thought the coelacanth was extinct, and then some dude caught one.

Now what in the world is that supposed to mean? So people don't carry a camera around with them 24/7, how're you going to blame them? There have been so many claimed sightings that I find it hard to believe that there isn't someting out there. I believe your Uncle, it seems like a pretty solid theory. If he's a regular hunter, then he should certainly be able to tell the difference between a bear and another (humanoid) animal.

So what, bigfoot is elusive, but then, so are Pandas. Maybe they're nearing extinction, or are just intelligent enough to know how to remain undetected. I'm a believe in Sasquach. It all started with the Indians, and they're very notable people. My Great Grandpa used to tell stories of his Native-American ansestors and their legends.

It's been proven that Sasquatch only appears in blurry conditions, thus calling the mentality of the person seeing him into question.

Proven fact.

Well I'm glad at least SOMEONE believes my Uncle.  ::) :D

And yeah. I like pandas. I just hope they're smart enough to remain undetected!!

And that's cool, Alex-nii-san. I'd like to hear stories from your Great Grandpa. I think Native Indians are cool. =]

And my Aunt Rita had a boyfriend who was a forest ranger. I don't know the circumstances of what he saw, but he was sure he saw one also. He had been an officer in Vietnam and was considered extremely credible, not one to imagine things, or make up stories. He said most forest rangers BELIEVE.

And Fisk, my mom says her brother is NOT a hick. >=[

Then perhaps its supernatural?
I find that hard to take into question, but the supernatural have the tendency to blur themselves in photos. For instance, Robert, the evil living doll burs out all the photos that are taken of it when in its glass casing at the museum.

I don't get what that's supposed to mean. I didn't call him a hick. o_o

And it's not that they have to have cameras on them, ZV, but it's more of the fact that... well.

I saw the Loch Ness monster the other day. Really. It was in Copano Bay, right near my house. Damn near ate me and my dog.

You can't always believe what you hear. :3; especially on the internets and with the existence of photoshop.
