Ok, so, I found this cool xxxHolic costume and I want it.

But it's $280.00

Any suggestions on how to get enough money? (I'm buying a webcam, so I won't have much money left.) The webcam is 15 and i have 25 dollars.

find something that you have absolutely no idea how to do and then enter a tournament for it where the prize money happens to be exactly how much money you need

always works in the movies

That's only if you get assistance from an old, overwieght champion from back in the day with unfinished business, though. And a wisecracking partner, preferably black.

You could always mow lawns. You know, manual labor? Sounds out of place in this modern day, but believe it or not, it still exists.

Make it yourself.

Learn how to sew in three minutes. That's what I did. o_o

Hmm...well, I guess you have to ask yourself this: which do I want more? $280 is a hell of a lot of money. Even for me who gets about $100 on average if my report card has, say, mostly Bs and $200 on Christmas money. (Which I sually end up spending it at Hot Topic)

Maybe do some odd jobs around the house? But for God's sake, don't volunteer. If you want money, volunteering is only a waste of time.  ;D I think they offer jobs at McDonald's and places like that. (if you're at least 15) but other places you have to be 16.

Big corporate things like McDonald's and KFC require you to be 16. It has to do with benefits and stuff.

Small businesses like, around here, there's Hu-Dat's, Golden Gate, Charolette Plummers, Big Fisherman, Boiling Pot, etc. as resturaunts, allow people to be 15 sometimes. But the Boiling Pot has a 16+ policy, and you have to be 18 to be a waitress (booze) and junk.

But if you have an aunt or grandma who can sew or something, ask them to help you make the costume yourself. o_o I made Robbie Rabbit's costume with $20 materials, head included, and it's a good fit and looks fairly nice.

$280 plus probable shipping money is way more than simply making it yourself. Though I'd have no idea how you'd get it to dye like that... unless you add diluted bleach to the hems.

You never know how good a costume wil turn out. I made a Vaati costume (http://haayls.deviantart.com/art/Vaati-Costume-69191010) in a month. (It wasreally hard) but it actually came out pretty decent. The only bad thing was the belt, I had to put it up high because it was really shot around my waist.  :-* And trust me, I suck at sewing. I mean, that costume might be easier to make than you think...

Get a loan. From someone nice who wont charge a lot of interest. Or get jobs like dog-walking, pet-looking aftering and baby-sitting. I got a webcam ages ago, it sucked. I mean it worked fine, but I put it in a drawer after everyone kept asking me if I was upset just because I wasn't grinning 24/7.

Haha my family would actually kill me rather than let me cosplay. That is much too strange for a daughter of theirs.

But at least its only 9 months till I can travel to London alone.

Yeah. A word of advice abut a webcam: Webcams don't work well with Dial up. I have a webcam, but I don't have DSL, so the video is all jumpy.
